Работа посвящена изучению влияния параметров эластичной оболочки (жесткость,объем внутренней полости) на деформацию металлических порошковых материалов в процессе квазиизостатического прессования.The work is devoted to the study of the influence of the parameters of the elastic shell (stiffness, volume of the internal cavity) on the deformation of metal powder materials in the process of quasi-isostatic pressing

Tunable two-dimensional electron system at the (110) surface of SnO2_2

We report the observation of a two-dimensional electron system (2DES) at the (110)(110) surface of the transparent bulk insulator SnO2_2, and the tunability of its carrier density by means of temperature or Eu deposition. The 2DES is insensitive to surface reconstructions and, surprisingly, it survives even after exposure to ambient conditions --an extraordinary fact recalling the well known catalytic properties SnO2_2. Our data show that surface oxygen vacancies are at the origin of such 2DES, providing key information about the long-debated origin of nn-type conductivity in SnO2_2, at the basis of a wide range of applications. Furthermore, our study shows that the emergence of a 2DES in a given oxide depends on a delicate interplay between its crystal structure and the orbital character of its conduction band.Comment: 11 pages, 12 figure

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) of the Republic of China is a global infrastructure project with high trade ambitions, but uncertain regional outcomes. This exploratory analysis investigates the drivers and the processes enabling positive regional effects of the BRI in terms of local service industry development. Under the interpretation of the BRI as a global transport system, we identify and explore three levels of analysis: the global scale of the BRI, the regional scale of its corridors and the local scale of transit regions. Along the Trans-Caspian corridor, Georgia is analyzed as a unique example of transit region aiming deliberately to develop its tertiary sector around the BRI infrastructure. To assess the attitude of stakeholders towards the BRI and its impacts on local service development, a qualitative research strategy is applied. Nineteen semi-structured interviews are processed using the GABEK method. Results reveal uncertain positions towards the BRI initiative. However, a need for a national strategy and a transnational governance system clearly stands out to enforce transit countries and counterbalance the dependency on China’s foreign investments. The intervention of national governments is deemed as crucial also to facilitate knowledge transfer, business opportunities and to increase bottom-up participation of local inhabitants

Sugar transport by renal plasma membrane vesicles. Characterization of the systems in the brush-border microvilli and basal-lateral plasma membranes

    No full text
Uptake studies ofD- andL-glucose were performed on vesicles derived from brush-border and basal-lateral membranes. The uptake of the sugars into the vesicles was osmotically sensitive and independent of glucose metabolism. In brush-border vesiclesD-glucose but notL-glucose transport was Na+-dependent, was inhibited by phlorizin, and showed a transitory vesicle/medium ratio >1, in the presence of an initial Na+ gradient. Basal-lateral membranes take upD-glucose faster thanL-glucose, but theD-glucose uptake is significantly less sensitive to sodium removal and only moderately inhibited by phlorizin as compared to the brush-border fraction
