Compatible Poisson Structures of Toda Type Discrete Hierarchy

An algebra isomorphism between algebras of matrices and difference operators is used to investigate the discrete integrable hierarchy. We find local and non-local families of R-matrix solutions to the modified Yang-Baxter equation. The three R-theoretic Poisson structures and the Suris quadratic bracket are derived. The resulting family of bi-Poisson structures include a seminal discrete bi-Poisson structure of Kupershmidt at a special value.Comment: 22 pages, LaTeX, v3: Minor change

Isospin Symmetry Breaking and the ρω\rho-\omega-System

Simple quark models for the low lying vector mesons suggest a mixing between the u- and d-flavors and a violation of the isospin symmetry for the ρω\rho-\omega- system much stronger than observed. It is shown that the chiral dynamics, especially the QCD anomaly, is responsible for a restoration of the isospin symmetry in the ρω\rho-\omega-system.Comment: 4 pages, espcrc2.st

Magnetic and electric properties in the distorted tetrahedral spin chain system Cu3Mo2O9

We study the multiferroic properties in the distorted tetrahedral quasi-one dimensional spin system Cu3_3Mo2_2O9_9, in which the effects of the low dimensionality and the magnetic frustration are expected to appear simultaneously. We clarify that the antiferromagnetic order is formed together with ferroelectric properties at TN=7.9T_{\rm N}=7.9 K under zero magnetic field and obtain the magnetic-field-temperature phase diagram by measuring dielectric constant and spontaneous electric polarization. It is found that the antiferromagnetic phase possesses a spontaneous electric polarization parallel to the c axis when the magnetic field HH is applied parallel to the a axis. On the other hand, there are three different ferroelectric phases in the antiferromagnetic phase for HH parallel to the c axis.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, LT26 proceedings, accepted for publication in J. Universal properties of highly frustrated quantum magnets in strong magnetic fields

The purpose of the present paper is two-fold. On the one hand, we review some recent studies on the low-temperature strong-field thermodynamic properties of frustrated quantum spin antiferromagnets which admit the so-called localized-magnon eigenstates. One the other hand, we provide some complementary new results. We focus on the linear independence of the localized-magnon states, the estimation of their degeneracy with the help of auxiliary classical lattice-gas models and the analysis of the contribution of these states to thermodynamics.Comment: Paper based on the invited talk given by J. The Ideal Mixing Departure in Vector Meson Physics

In this work we study the departure for the ideal ϕω\phi-\omega mixing angle in the frame of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. We have shown that in that context, the flavour symmetry breaking is unable to produce the shifting in the mixing angle. We introduce a nonet symmetry breaking in the neutral vector sector to regulate the non-strange content of the ϕ\phi meson. The phenomenon is well reproduced by our proposal.Comment: 12 pages incl. 1 figur
