The purpose of this study was to investigate which of the kinematics parameters most contribute to vertical flight heights. Eight subjects were filmed using Sony digital camera with 25 images from the sagittal plane during execution of the following vertical jump conditions: free two-foot take-off, free one-foot take-off, fixed arm two-foot take-off, and fixed arm one-foot take-off. Arm swing contribution, leg swing contribution, height of centre of gravity at take-off (HCGTO), vertical velocity at take-off, arm’s angular momentum, work, and power were analyzed in each condition using stick figures according to Clauser, McConville, and Young (1969). Correlation and regression analysis indicated that HCGTO contributed the most to the flight heights in all conditions

Angiogenesis is very important in cancer growth and metastasis. Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) as one of the most important angiogenesis factors is an attractive target for cancer vaccine. Due to low immunogenicity, it cannot stimulate an effective immune response. Theoretically, pseudomonas exotoxin (PE) as a potent immunogenic carrier protein when fused to low immunogenic antigens such as bFGF significantly increased immunogenicity of it. In this study, we tried to molecular cloning and expression of bFGF conjugated with immunodominant domains of pseudomonas exotoxin. The coding sequence of fusion protein composed of bFGF linked to PE domains 1b and 2 using EAAAK poly linker. The KDEL sequence was also used in C-terminal coding sequence. It was synthesized and expressed using recombinant DNA technology in the bacterial expression system. Expression of recombinant protein verified using SDS-PAGE and western blot analyses. Finally, it purified using Ni-affinity chromatography. The band close to 37 kDa in SDS-PAGE and western blot analyses was aligned completely to designed sequence. Purified recombinant protein also showed as a clear single band near to 37 kDa

Background: Due to the chronic and recurrent nature of addiction, many people who quit drug addiction may slip back into the pattern of using drugs shortly after the detoxification period. Emotion-regulation strategies and resilience play an important role in preventing the recurrences of substance abuse. Objectives: This study aimed to compare the effects of methadone-maintenance therapy (MMT) and interactive therapy (a combination of MMT and cognitive-behavioral therapy) on improving emotion-regulation strategies and resilience among opiate-dependent clients. Patients and Methods: This pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study was performed on 60 patients with substance abuse admitted to Methadone Addiction Treatment Centers and Detox Centers in Sari within three months of therapy for their addiction (from October to December 2013). Then, the participants were randomly assigned to two different groups (n = 30) were examined in two groups of 30 people targeted to be available in the selected population. Participants in all three groups, before and after the intervention, filled out the questionnaires of Schutte emotional intelligence scale and Connor-Davidson resiliency questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the analysis of covariance method. Results: The results showed that an interactive therapy would be significantly more effective than the MMT on improving emotion-regulation strategies and promoting the resilience level among opiate-dependent clients. Moreover, the results showed that cognitive- behavior therapy combined with MMT may improve emotion-regulation strategies, and promote the amount of resiliency and recovery. Conclusions: The cognitive-behavior therapy combined with MMT can improve emotion-regulation strategies and resiliency and thus prevent the substance-abuse relapse. © 2015, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences

Disordered rocksalt Li-excess (DRX) compounds are attractive new cathode materials for Li-ion batteries as they contain resource-abundant metals and do not require the use of cobalt or nickel. Understanding the delithiation process and cation short-range ordering (SRO) in DRX compounds is essential to improving these promising cathode materials. Herein, we use first-principles calculations along with the cluster-expansion approach to model the disorder in DRX Li2-xVO3, 0 < x < 1. We discuss the SRO of Li in tetrahedral and octahedral sites, and the order in which Li delithiates and V oxidizes with respect to local environments. We reveal that the number of nearest-neighbor V dictates the order of delithiation from octahedral sites and that V are oxidized in a manner that minimizes the electrostatic interactions among V. Our results provide valuable insight for tailoring the performance of V-based DRX cathode materials in general by controlling the SRO features that reduce energy density

Urban and population growth results in increasing pressure on the public utilities like transport, energy, healthcare services, crime management and emergency services in the realm of smart city management. Smart management of these services increases the necessity of dealing with big data which is come from different sources with various types and formats like 3D city information, GPS, traffic, mobile, Building Information Model (BIM), environmental, social activities and IoT stream data. Therefore, an approach to mine/analysis/interpret these data and extract useful knowledge from this diverse big data sources emerges in order to extract the hidden pattern of data using computational algorithms from statistics, machine learning and information theory. However, inconsistency, duplication and repetition and misconducting with the different type of discrete and continuous data can cause erroneous decision-making. This paper focuses on providing a rules extraction and supervised-decision making methods for facilitating the fusion of BIM and 2D and 3D GIS-based information coupling with IoT stream data residing in a spatial database and 3D BIM data. The proposed methods can be used in those applications like Emergency Response, Evacuation Planning, Occupancy Mapping, and Urban Monitoring to Smart Multi-Buildings so that their input data mostly come from 2D and 3D GIS, BIM and IoT stream. This research focus on proposing the unified rules extraction and decision engine to help smart citizens and managers using BIM and GIS data to make smart decision rather than focus on applications in certain field of BIM and GIS

33-40Dry eye syndrome is one of the most common types of eye diseases. Due to the significant prevalence of the disease, there is an important need for treatment of dry eye in a simple but efficient way. Artificial tears are the most common agents used for treating dry eye but are not very useful. In recent years, the use of herbal remedies has attracted much attention, because the process of producing most herbal remedies is simple, inexpensive and has fewer side effects. In many clinical studies, the potential interactions between medicines and herbs have been demonstrated. According to reports, some herbal products have the potential to be used for the treatment of dry eye while the use of certain products can lead to this syndrome. In this review, we have listed some of the herbal drugs and components which can prevent or treat the dry eye or cause it

Background and Objectives: One of the forms of knowledge acquisition in the current era is the distance education system, which has changed the traditional teaching methods, made it possible for everyone to learn everywhere and at any time, and has established social justice in the distribution of resources and facilities. It has created the necessary conditions for standardized education and in accordance with the needs of individuals and society, as well as the significant help that this system can easily and timely modernize education, save time, money and energy consumption, create opportunities for continuing education for employed people, strengthen specializations and creates calmness and reduces anxiety. And given that in addition to classroom teaching at the university, distance learning is now a valid method worldwide and UNESCO and other educational organizations around the world emphasize the expansion of distance learning, it is necessary to seriously develop it and the foundations of epistemology; and make it known to policymakers, planners and learners. The present study was conducted with the aim of identification and assessing the epistemological characteristics of MOOC (massive and courses). Methods: For this purpose, two methods of exploratory search (qualitative) and a questionnaire (quantitative) method were used. In the qualitative part of the research environment, the relevant electronic sources related to the subject matter of the research including 20 related articles were selected. In the quantitative section from the statistical population of 60 specialists in planning distance education in 2018 in the country a sample of 36 people was selected through voluntary sampling. To analyze the qualitative data, content analysis method and content validity index were used for analyzing quantitative data from mean weight and Friedman test. Findings: The results of content analysis indicated that four episodes of the learner, the content, teaching organization and educational environment can be investigated in MOOC epistemology (massive and courses). A total of 35 criteria were identified and confirmed. Quantitative results show that improving the level of information and digital literacy of professors, and knowledge with previous cognitive structures are the most important criterions of the epistemological characteristics of the courses of MOOC; and the criteria of ease of usedigital content, the recruitment of information technology professionals, for knowledge courses and the provision of Internet-based learning group environment, are the most important criterion for epistemology of massive MOOC. Conclusion: The results showed that in the epistemology of massive courses the dim   ===================================================================================== COPYRIGHTS  ©2020 The author(s).
