    PKPU Policy Number 20 of 2018 Concerning the Prohibition of Former Corruptors as Legislative Candidates in the 2019 General Election

    This research was conducted to analyse the prohibition of former corruptors’ ability to become legislative candidates based on PKPU Policy Number 20 of 2018, in terms of synchronizing the policy with higher laws and examining it from the perspective of political ethics and legal politics in eradicating corruption in Indonesia. The research method adopted was normative juridical, and the types and sources of data used were secondary data, applying data sources from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results of data processing are presented in the descriptive analysis. The outcomes of this research indicate that the synchronization of PKPU policy law No. 20 of 2018 regarding the disallowance of ex-corruptors from becoming legislative candidates clash with higher laws and regulations, namely Law Number 7 of 2017 regarding elections in conjunction with Law Number 12 of 2011 about the formation of laws and regulations. Therefore, the conclusion of the KPU regulations has no binding legal force. The actualization of a fair and sovereign election requires all policymakers’ support, especially in the enforcement and application of political ethics and the law to eliminate corruption in Indonesia.     Invigorasi Benih Nangka (Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lamk) Setelah Periode Simpan Dengan Pemberian Zpt

    Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh invigorasi benih nangka dengan pemberian ZPT pada berbagai lama simpan serta konsentrasi ZPT terbaik pada masing-masing lama simpan telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako, Palu dari bulan September sampai Desember 2012. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 2 Faktor yaitu lama simpan dan pemberian ZPT dengan 3 ulangan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh dengan dosis tertentu pada berbagai lama simpan memberikan pengaruh berbeda terhadap invigorasi benih serta pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh 0.05% pada waktu simpan 4 dan 5 minggu menghasilkan invigorasi benih nangka yang terbaik

    Microwave Enhanced Synthesis of Sulfonated Chitosan-Montmorillonite for Effective Removal of Methylene Blue

    In this work, sulfonated chitosan montmorillonite composite (S-CS-MT) beads were synthesized using a microwave irradiation method designed to have a better saving-time procedure. The potency of S-CS-MT as an adsorbent was assessed for the removal of cationic dyes such as methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution. The batch adsorption experiments indicated that MB adsorption onto S-CS-MT follows the Pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum extent obtained from the Langmuir isotherm model for MB adsorption was 188.2 mg g?1 at 303 K. The thermodynamic study indicated that the adsorption reaction is favorable and spontaneous in nature. These findings indicated that montmorillonite chitosan grafted with the sulfonate group has the ability and efficacy as biohybrid adsorbent for the adsorption of cationic dyes.The authors would like to acknowledge the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia, for supporting this project under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) (203/PJJAUH/6711445).
