In the midst of a health emergency due to the declaration of the pandemic to the staggered return to the school classroom and total return of students. In the season of health isolation, students acquired particular characteristics that contributed to the increase in averages and accreditation; these characteristics could have practical and pedagogical implications to improve teaching and learning in similar situations in the future. Among the results, an accreditation percentage of 40% is observed in 2019, increasing to almost double by 2020 (exactly with 86%), which is the year when a health emergency is declared in relation to COVID 19, for the In 2021, the accreditation percentage decreases to 81%, and by 2022, it decreases a little more to reach 73%. This behavior can be visualized with graphic support, which, with the support of the Origin 2019b program, makes an adjustment polynomial, which represents a cubic polynomial, given by: y=4.73x3-49.28x2+158.89x-78.1

At the Tecnológico Nacional de México/Instituto Tecnológico de San Luis Potosí (TecNM/ITSLP), as part of the admission process and with the objective of strengthening prior knowledge in upper secondary education in the science of mathematics, two courses are offered; One of them is called a leveling course and the other is called a propaedeutic course. Although both address the same topics, they differ in the time in which the course takes place. These courses, traditionally face-to-face, were adapted to the online modality in 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, using the Moodle platform for assignments and evaluations. The objective of this work is to analyze the academic performance of students in both courses. A mixed methodology (qualitative-quantitative) was used with a descriptive approach, non-experimental design and transversal scope. The main result indicates that the propaedeutic course, with a duration of three months, is more effective compared to the leveling course, which has a duration of four weeks, this finding suggests that the duration of the course is a crucial factor. Common themes of difficulty for students were identified, and better performance was observed in the propaedeutic course, where students obtained a general average of 22.8 on the diagnostic exam and a general average of 76.11 on the final exam

In this work, the bolometric parameters of Sierpinski fractal antenna-coupled SWCNT semi-metallic films are obtained by thermoelectric characterization, this in order to find out the performance as bolometer. The method was based on an experimental setup considering a line-of-sight wireless link between two identical planar fractal antennas, infrared thermography, and electrical resistance measurements. The experimental setup considered the antennas resonant frequencies. Both the transmitting and receiving antenna were third-iteration Sierpinski fractal dipoles designed to work at UHF frequencies. Films made either of cracked or uncracked SWCNT films were each separately coupled to the receiving fractal antenna. Measurements showed that the receiving antenna that was impinged with radiation at UHF frequencies coming from the transmitting antenna, experienced as it was expected an induction of electric current, the induced current flowed through the film producing a temperature change, which in turn caused changes in the radiated heat of the film, as well as changes in the electrical resistance known as Temperature Coefficient of Resistance TCR. The maximum value of TCR for uncracked SWCNT films was −3.6%K−1, higher than the one observed for cracked SWCNT films which exhibited a maximum value of −1.46%K−1. Measurements for conversion of incident radiation to electrical signals known as the Voltage Responsivity ℜv, exhibited values of 9.4 mV/W and 1.4 mV/W for uncracked SWCNT films and cracked SWCNT films, respectively

Bolometric Properties of Semiconducting and Metallic Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Composite Films

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have shown interesting bolometric properties, making them good candidates for the detection of infrared and terahertz radiation. However, little has been reported on the bolometric characteristics of SWNT as a function of their chirality or the possible influence of composite morphology on these properties. The separation of SWNTs based on chirality allows for almost purely semiconductive or metallic SWNTs to be studied. The current study focuses on the bolometric performance of self-assembled composite films of SWNTs. The dependence of these properties on the chirality of the SWNTs was evaluated. To this end, metallic, semiconducting, and a 1:1 mixture of metallic and semiconductive were studied. Also, a theoretical model based on the Wiedemann–Franz law is used to explain the resistance of the SWNT composite films as a function of temperature. Results show that the composite morphology has a significant impact on bolometer performance, with cracked composite films containing highly aligned SWNT arrays suspended over a silicon substrate showing superior responsivity values due to higher thermal isolation. Uncracked composite films showed superior thermal coefficient of resistance values (α = −6.5%/K), however, the responsivity was lower due to lower thermal isolation
