    Get PDF
A Sn-Sn02/C nanocomposite was synthesized using the electrospinning method. Thermal analysis was used to determine the content range of Sn and Sn02 in the composite. The composite was characterized by X-ray diffraction, and the particle size and shape in the Sn-SnOiC composite were determined by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The results show that the Sn-Sn02/C composite takes on a nanofiber morphology, with the diameters of the nanofibers distributed from 50 to 200 nm. The electrOChemical properties of the Sn-SnOiC composite were also investigated. The Sn-SnOiC composite as an electrode material has both higher reversible capacity (887 mAh· g-I). and good cycling performance in lithium-anode ceUs working at room temperature in a 3.0 V to O.Ot V potential window. The Sn-Sn02/C composite could relain a discharge capacity of 546 mAWg aller 30 cycles. The outstanding electrochemical properties of the Sn-SnOiC composite oblained by this method make it possible for Ihis composite to be used as a promising anode material

Prospects for shale gas production in China: Implications for water demand

AbstractDevelopment of shale gas resources is expected to play an important role in China's projected transition to a low-carbon energy future. The question arises whether the availability of water could limit this development. The paper considers a range of scenarios to define the demand for water needed to accommodate China's projected shale gas production through 2020. Based on data from the gas field at Fuling, the first large-scale shale gas field in China, it is concluded that the water intensity for shale gas development in China (water demand per unit lateral length) is likely to exceed that in the US by about 50%. Fuling field would require a total of 39.9–132.9Mm3 of water to achieve full development of its shale gas, with well spacing assumed to vary between 300 and 1000m. To achieve the 2020 production goal set by Sinopec, the key Chinese developer, water consumption is projected to peak at 7.22Mm3 in 2018. Maximum water consumption would account for 1% and 3%, respectively, of the available water resource and annual water use in the Fuling district. To achieve China's nationwide shale gas production goal set for 2020, water consumption is projected to peak at 15.03Mm3 in 2019 in a high-use scenario. It is concluded that supplies of water are adequate to meet demand in Fuling and most projected shale plays in China, with the exception of localized regions in the Tarim and Jungger Basins

In the title compound, C17H15N3O4, the molecule is in the keto–hydrazone form. Intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds ensure that the molecule is nearly planar (r.m.s. deviation of non-H atoms is 0.098 Å), with the two benzene rings forming a dihedral angle of 10.04 (2)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers are formed via pairs of O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the –CO2H groups

Identification of a venetoclax-resistance prognostic signature base on 6-senescence genes and its clinical significance for acute myeloid leukemia

BackgroundSatisfactory responses can be obtained for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) treated by Venetoclax (VEN)-based therapy. However, there are still quite a few AML patients (AMLs) resistant to VEN, and it is critical to understand whether VEN-resistance is regulated by senescence.MethodsHere, we established and validated a signature for predicting AML prognosis based on VEN resistance-related senescence genes (VRSGs). In this study, 51 senescence genes were identified with VEN-resistance in AML. Using LASSO algorithms and multiple AML cohorts, a VEN-resistance senescence prognostic model (VRSP-M) was developed and validated based on 6-senescence genes.ResultsAccording to the median score of the signature, AMLs were classified into two subtypes. A worse prognosis and more adverse features occurred in the high-risk subtype, including older patients, non-de novo AML, poor cytogenetics, adverse risk of European LeukemiaNet (ELN) 2017 recommendation, and TP53 mutation. Patients in the high-risk subtype were mainly involved in monocyte differentiation, senescence, NADPH oxidases, and PD1 signaling pathway. The model’s risk score was significantly associated with VEN-resistance, immune features, and immunotherapy response in AML. In vitro, the IC50 values of ABT-199 (VEN) rose progressively with increasing expression of G6PD and BAG3 in AML cell lines.ConclusionsThe 6-senescence genes prognostic model has significant meaning for the prediction of VEN-resistance, guiding personalized molecularly targeted therapies, and improving AML prognosis

Background and aims We investigated the causal relevance of alcohol intake with measures of carotid artery thickness and atherosclerosis in Chinese adults. Methods The study included 22,384 adults from the China Kadoorie Biobank, with self-reported alcohol use at baseline and resurvey, carotid artery ultrasound measurements, and genotyping data for ALDH2-rs671 and ADH1B-rs1229984. Associations of carotid intima media thickness (cIMT), any carotid plaque, and total plaque burden (derived from plaque number and size) with self-reported (conventional analyses) and genotype-predicted mean alcohol intake (Mendelian randomisation) were assessed using linear and logistic regression models. Results Overall 34.2% men and 2.1% women drank alcohol regularly at baseline. Mean cIMT was 0.70 mm in men and 0.64 mm in women, with 39.1% and 26.5% having carotid plaque, respectively. Among men, cIMT was not associated with self-reported or genotype-predicted mean alcohol intake. The risk of plaque increased significantly with self-reported intake among current drinkers (odds ratio 1.42 [95% CI 1.14–1.76] per 280 g/week), with directionally consistent findings with genotype-predicted mean intake (1.21 [0.99–1.49]). Higher alcohol intake was significantly associated with higher carotid plaque burden in both conventional (0.19 [0.10–0.28] mm higher per 280 g/week) and genetic analyses (0.09 [0.02–0.17]). Genetic findings in women suggested the association of genotype-predicted alcohol with carotid plaque burden in men was likely to due to alcohol itself, rather than pleiotropic genotypic effects. Conclusion Higher alcohol intake was associated with a higher carotid plaque burden, but not with cIMT, providing support for a potential causal association of alcohol intake with carotid atherosclerosis

With the development of IoT in smart cities, the electromagnetic environment (EME) in cities is becoming more and more complex. A full understanding of the characteristics of past spectrum resource utilization is the key to improving the efficiency of spectrum management. In order to explore the characteristics of spectrum utilization more comprehensively, this paper designs an EME portrait model. By checking the statistical information of the spectrum data, including changes in the noise floor and channel utilization in each individual wireless service, the correlation between the spectrum and time or space of different channels and the information is merged into a high-dimensional model through consistency transformation to form the EME portrait. The portrait model is not only convenient for storage and retrieval but also beneficial for transfer and expansion, which will become an important foundation for intelligent electromagnetic spectrum management
