Consistency and Consensus Driven for Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Decision Making with Pairwise Comparisons
Hesitant fuzzy linguistic preference relation (HFLPR) is of interest because
it provides an efficient way for opinion expression under uncertainty. For
enhancing the theory of decision making with HFLPR, the paper introduces an
algorithm for group decision making with HFLPRs based on the acceptable
consistency and consensus measurements, which involves (1) defining a hesitant
fuzzy linguistic geometric consistency index (HFLGCI) and proposing a procedure
for consistency checking and inconsistency improving for HFLPR; (2) measuring
the group consensus based on the similarity between the original individual
HFLPRs and the overall perfect HFLPR, then establishing a procedure for
consensus ensuring including the determination of decision-makers weights. The
convergence and monotonicity of the proposed two procedures have been proved.
Some experiments are furtherly performed to investigate the critical values of
the defined HFLGCI, and comparative analyses are conducted to show the
effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. A case concerning the performance
evaluation of venture capital guiding funds is given to illustrate the
availability of the proposed algorithm. As an application of our work, an
online decision-making portal is finally provided for decision-makers to
utilize the proposed algorithms to solve decision-making problems.Comment: Pulished by Expert Systems with Applications (ISSN: 0957-4174
Analysis of risk factors and prognostic factors of synchronous breast and thyroid cancer
Objective To analyze the risk and prognostic factors for synchronous breast cancer(BC)and thyroid cancer(TC). Methods The Surveillance,Epidemiology, and End Results Program(SEER)2020 database was utilized to collect the information of patients with synchronous BC and TC(BC and TC group)and those with BC alone(BC group). Clinical data and survival were compared between two groups. Clinical data of patients with synchronous BC and TC(BC and TC group A)and those with BC alone(BC group B)admitted to a certain hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Clinical data and survival were also compared between two groups. Results ①Analysis of SEER database ,482 patients in BC and TC group and 500 patients in BC group. Univariate analysis revealed that age at first diagnosis and progesterone receptor(PR)were the risk factors for synchronous BC and TC(both P < 0.05). Multivariate analysis found that age at first diagnosis(OR=1.800,95% CI:1.387-2.337,P < 0.001)and PR(OR=1.364,95% CI:1.023-1.818,P = 0.034)were the independent risk factors for synchronous BC and TC. Excluding those with incomplete follow-up data, univariate analysis indicated that tumor diameter and PR were the prognostic factors for synchronous BC and TC(both P < 0.05);multivariate analysis revealed that tumor diameter was an independent prognostic factor for synchronous BC and TC(OR=4.328,95% CI:1.410-13.288,P = 0.010). Univariate analysis found that age at first diagnosis and tumor diameter were the prognostic factors for BC alone(both P < 0.05);multivariate analysis identified that age at first diagnosis(OR = 2.443,95% CI :1.014-5.889,P = 0.047)and tumor diameter(OR = 2.030,95% CI:1.039-3.969,P = 0.038)were the independent prognostic factors for BC alone. ②Analysis of inpatients, there were 40 patients each in BC and TC group A and BC group A. Univariate analysis indicated that menstrual status,PR,proliferation index Ki-67,and TT3 were the risk factors for synchronous BC and TC(all P < 0.05),multivariate analysis found that menstrual status(synchronous BC and TC versus BC alone,OR=0.175,95% CI:0.052-0.591,P = 0.005),PR(OR=5.686,95% CI:1.677-19.282,P = 0.005),Ki-67(OR=3.966,95% CI:1.133-13.875,P = 0.031)were the independent risk factors for synchronous BC and TC. Eighty patients were subject to follow-up,6 patients died,27 survived, and 7 were lost to follow-up in BC and TC group A;2 patients died,29 survived, and 9 were lost to follow-up in BC group A. Cox regression analysis revealed no statistical significance in both groups. Conclusions Age at first diagnosis, menstrual status,PR,and Ki-67 are the risk factors for synchronous BC and TC. Tumor diameter is an independent prognostic factor for synchronous BC and TC. Age at first diagnosis and tumor diameter are the independent prognostic factors for BC alone
Assessing the Quality of Reports about Randomized Controlled Trials of Acupuncture Treatment on Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
BACKGROUND: To evaluate the reports' qualities which are about randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of acupuncture treatment on Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN). METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: Eight databases including The Cochrane Library(1993-Sept.,2011), PubMed (1980-Sept., 2011), EMbase (1980-Sept.,2011), SCI Expanded (1998-Sept.,2011), China Biomedicine Database Disc (CBMdisc, 1978-Sept., 2011), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI, 1979-Sept., 2011 ), VIP (a full text issues database of China, 1989-Sept., 2011), Wan Fang (another full text issues database of China 1998-Sept., 2011) were searched systematically. Hand search for further references was conducted. Language was limited to Chinese and English. We identified 75 RCTs that used acupuncture as an intervention and assessed the quality of these reports with the Consolidated Standards for Reporting of Trials statement 2010 (CONSORT2010) and Standards for Reporting Interventions Controlled Trials of Acupuncture 2010(STRICTA2010). 24 articles (32%) applied the method of random allocation of sequences. No article gave the description of the mechanism of allocation concealment, no experiment applied the method of blinding. Only one article (1.47%) could be identified directly from its title as about the Randomized Controlled Trials, and only 4 articles gave description of the experimental design. No article mentioned the number of cases lost or eliminated. During one experiment, acupuncture syncope led to temporal interruption of the therapy. Two articles (2.94%) recorded the number of needles, and 8 articles (11.76%) mentioned the depth of needle insertion. None of articles reported the base of calculation of sample size, or has any analysis about the metaphase of an experiment or an explanation of its interruption. One (1.47%) mentioned intentional analysis (ITT). CONCLUSIONS/SIGNIFICANCE: The quality of the reports on RCTs of acupuncture for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy is moderate to low. The CONSORT2010 and STRICTA2010 should be used to standardize the reporting of RCTs of acupuncture in future
Validating Behavioral Testing Paradigm for Selective and Sustained Attention
Attention is a multi-faceted construct with numerous and varied definitions. One important aspect of attention is selective attention, which entails preferentially enhancing the processing of relevant information, while inhibiting the processing of irrelevant information. In addition, selective attention often requires sustained attention, which involves maintaining sensitivity to incoming stimuli for a period of time. Recent findings implicated that the prefrontal cortex and thalamus are involved in selective sustained attention. Orexin neurons have widespread projections throughout the brain, including the prefrontal cortex and the paraventricular nucleus of the thalamus. The paraventricular nucleus of the thalamus receives dense innervations from the lateral hypothalamus orexin neurons and projects to the medial prefrontal cortex. The exact role of this LH orexin neurons-PVT-mPFC circuit in attention processing has not been fully addressed. This study aims to develop a new behavioral task that measures both selective and sustained attention, then utilize such a task to investigate the potential effects of circuit disruption on attentional processing
Consistency and consensus driven for hesitant fuzzy linguistic decision making with pairwise comparisons
Hesitant fuzzy linguistic preference relation (HFLPR) is of interest because it provides an efficient way for opinion expression under uncertainty. For enhancing the theory of group decision making (GDM) with HFLPR, the paper introduces a method for addressing the GDM based on consistency and consensus measurements, which involves (1) defining a hesitant fuzzy linguistic geometric consistency index (HFLGCI) and proposing an algorithm for consistency checking and inconsistency improving for HFLPR; (2) proposing a worst consensus index based on the minimum similarity measure between each individual HFLPR and the overall perfect HFLPR in order to build a consensus reaching algorithm based on the acceptable HLFPRs. The convergence and monotonicity of the proposed two procedures is proved. Experiments are performed to investigate the critical values of the defined HFLGCI, and comparative analyses are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. A case concerning the performance evaluation of venture capital guiding funds is given to illustrate the applicability of the proposed method. As an application of our work, an online decision-making portal is finally provided for decision makers to utilize the proposed method to solve GDM with HFLPRs
Interactions between gut microbes and NLRP3 inflammasome in the gut-brain axis
The role of the gut-brain axis in maintaining the brain's and gut's homeostasis has been gradually recognized in recent years. The connection between the gut and the brain takes center stage. In this scenario, the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain leucine-rich repeat and pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome promotes inflammatory cell recruitment. It plays a crucial role in coordinating host physiology and immunity. Recent evidence shows how vital the gut-brain axis is for maintaining brain and gut homeostasis. However, more research is needed to determine the precise causal link between changed gut microbiota structure and NLRP3 activation in pathogenic circumstances. This review examines the connection between gut microbiota and the NLRP3 inflammasome. We describe how both dynamically vary in clinical cases and the external factors affecting both. Finally, we suggest that the crosstalk between the gut microbiota and NLRP3 is involved in signaling in the gut-brain axis, which may be a potential pathological mechanism for CNS diseases and intestinal disorders

Phenazine Radical Cations as Efficient Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysts for the Cross-Dehydrogenative Aza-Henry Reaction
The redox activity of molecular phenazine catalysts has been previously exploited for aerobic oxidative amine homo- and cross-coupling reactions. In this contribution, we have extended the reaction scope of this novel type of organocatalyst and used them in the cross-dehydrogenative aza-Henry coupling of isoquinolines with nitromethane under aerobic conditions. Additionally, we have designed and prepared a novel porous organic polymer by cross-linking of tetrakis(4-bromophenyl)silane and dihydrophenazine through Pd-catalyzed Buchwald-Hartwig cross-coupling. This new type of heterogeneous catalyst, apart from being robust and easily reusable, also showed outstanding catalytic activities and improved selectivity compared to its molecular counterpart. A plausible reaction mechanism was proposed based on spectroscopic and kinetic measurements. © 2020 The Authors. Helvetica Chimica Acta published by Wiley-VHCA AG, Zurich, Switzerlan
Royal Jelly Protected against Dextran-Sulfate-Sodium-Induced Colitis by Improving the Colonic Mucosal Barrier and Gut Microbiota
Royal jelly (RJ) is a natural bee product that contains a variety of biologically active ingredients and has antitumor, antiallergic, antibacterial and immune-regulating effects. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestine that can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. With this study, we aimed to explore the protective effect of RJ on DSS-induced colitis in mice. The physiochemical parameters (water, protein, 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid, total sugar, starch, ash and acidity) of the RJ samples used in this study met the requirements of the international and Chinese national standards. Treatment with RJ improved symptoms and colonic cell apoptosis and decreased intestinal permeability by increasing the expression of tight-junction protein, goblet cells and their secretion mucin, MUC2, in DSS-induced ulcerative colitis mice. RJ also reduced the expression of proinflammatory cytokine IL-6 and increased the expression of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 and sIgA. DSS resulted in an increase in the relative abundance of Parabacteroides, Erysipelotrichaceae, Proteobacteria (Gammaproteobacteria, Enterobacteriales and Enterobacteriaceae) and Escherichia Shigella in the colon and a decrease in the relative abundance of Muribaculum. In the RJ treatment group, the relative abundance of the above intestinal flora was improved by treatment with 2.0 g/kg RJ. These results suggested that RJ alleviated DSS-induced colitis by improving the colonic mucosal barrier
