In this activity, the team develop new technology for refrigerator without the use of freon base on absorbent and absorbat. This technology is expected to generate new breakthrough in electronic technology in Indonesia. This activity is expected to generate refrigerator without Freon that it has similar cooler quality, yet is more environmentally friendly and low electrical consumption. The team are able to produce a non-freon refrigerator prototype and it runs well

Impact of COVID-19 on cardiovascular testing in the United States versus the rest of the world

Objectives: This study sought to quantify and compare the decline in volumes of cardiovascular procedures between the United States and non-US institutions during the early phase of the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the care of many non-COVID-19 illnesses. Reductions in diagnostic cardiovascular testing around the world have led to concerns over the implications of reduced testing for cardiovascular disease (CVD) morbidity and mortality. Methods: Data were submitted to the INCAPS-COVID (International Atomic Energy Agency Non-Invasive Cardiology Protocols Study of COVID-19), a multinational registry comprising 909 institutions in 108 countries (including 155 facilities in 40 U.S. states), assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on volumes of diagnostic cardiovascular procedures. Data were obtained for April 2020 and compared with volumes of baseline procedures from March 2019. We compared laboratory characteristics, practices, and procedure volumes between U.S. and non-U.S. facilities and between U.S. geographic regions and identified factors associated with volume reduction in the United States. Results: Reductions in the volumes of procedures in the United States were similar to those in non-U.S. facilities (68% vs. 63%, respectively; p = 0.237), although U.S. facilities reported greater reductions in invasive coronary angiography (69% vs. 53%, respectively; p < 0.001). Significantly more U.S. facilities reported increased use of telehealth and patient screening measures than non-U.S. facilities, such as temperature checks, symptom screenings, and COVID-19 testing. Reductions in volumes of procedures differed between U.S. regions, with larger declines observed in the Northeast (76%) and Midwest (74%) than in the South (62%) and West (44%). Prevalence of COVID-19, staff redeployments, outpatient centers, and urban centers were associated with greater reductions in volume in U.S. facilities in a multivariable analysis. Conclusions: We observed marked reductions in U.S. cardiovascular testing in the early phase of the pandemic and significant variability between U.S. regions. The association between reductions of volumes and COVID-19 prevalence in the United States highlighted the need for proactive efforts to maintain access to cardiovascular testing in areas most affected by outbreaks of COVID-19 infection

The government issued a policy of BOS (School Operational Assistance) aims to maximize the performance of schools to meet all school needs that can support student learning achievement which ultimately results in good and quality educational goals. The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the implementation of the School Operational Assistance (BOS) policy at SMK Negeri 5 Pangkep in Pangkejene and Kepulauan Regency, 2) to determine the level of student achievement in SMK 5 Pangkep in Pangkejene and Kepulauan Regency, 3) to determine the effect of the policy School Operational Assistance (BOS) on the level of student achievement in SMK 5 Pangkep in Pangkejene and Kepulauan Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach, with a population of 305 people and a sample of 62 respondents. Data collection techniques through observation, angekt, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that 1) The implementation of BOS policy of the four indicators ranging from communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure as a whole was considered to be going well which reached a percentage of 77.33 percent, 2) Student achievement in SMK Negeri 5 Pangkep from cognitive, psychomotor, and affective indicators which overall of the three indicators reached report card which is 4 or 82.17 percent considered good. 3) The implementation of BOS policy has a moderate and positive influence on student achievement with an R square (r2) score of 42.10 percent. The influence of the management of BOS funds on student achievement in SMK 5 Pangkep has a positive impact because of the availability of facilities needed by students even though it is not adequate or complete as a whole, but its management has been maximally used in improving student achievement. In addition, with the BOS funds the costs incurred by parents of students are also aided so that there is encouragement so that their children can increase education at school and develop the talents and interests of the students

HighlightsThe Paku Uban (Nephrolepis biserrata) was identified and analyzedThe ability of paku uban to stimulated molting process of Scylla sp was analyzedThe paku uban (Nephrolepis biserrata) could increase the presentation of molting and accelerate molting processAbstractMud crab (Scylla spp.) is a fishery commodity with high economic value. For this reason, efforts to increase production are required with a more effective applicative technology. This study aims to determine the molting response and survival rate of mud crabs injected with paku uban leaf extract (N. biserrata) at different doses. The study was conducted for 30 days, located in Tibi Island, Tanah Lia District, Tanah Tidung. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and eight replicates. Mud crabs weighing 80 - 150 g were tested in K1 (without injection), K2 (controlled injection), P1 (100 ppm extract), P2 (125 ppm extract) and P3 (150 ppm extract). The effectivity of paku uban (N. biserrata) extract with the highest percentage of molting of 50% took place at P3, 37.5% at P2, and 25% at P1. The lowest levels of molting percentage were at K1 and K2 by 0%. The Fastest molting period was ten days at P2, and the longest was 29 days at P1. The highest weight growth reached 33.75 g at P3, followed by P2 and P1 with 31 and 18.75 g, respectively. The survival rate of mud crabs for all treatments reached 100%. The results of the analysis of variance indicated a significant bet effect (P < 0.05) on the molting and weight growth percentage. The BNT test suggested that a dose of 150 ppm was the optimum treatment

The purpose of this research is to identify, analyze, explain the essence and orientation of regional-based tourism development as a leading sustainable sector. The approach used is qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that as one of the leading sectors in the Sinjai area is tourism, considering that the tourism potential in Sinjai is quite potential seen from three aspects, namely: 1) natural tourism potential consisting of 35 natural attractions scattered from each district, 2) historical potential and regional culture consisting of 71 tourist destinations, 3) man-made tourism potential and special interest. Tourism in Sinjai has taken a toll on the Co-19 pandemic so that the impact is quite concerning for the local government and local communities. Is there still the government's support and interest in developing the tourism sector, which is a challenge in its sustainability. It takes creativity, innovation and breakthroughs by the government in absorbing various changes and technological advances for future life
