Social identity is closely linked to the subject’s ability to achieve plans. We will develop this capacity system, which refers simultaneously to events and context on the one hand, and to cognitive and affective regulations that set the identity dynamics (Costalat-Founeau 2005-2008) on the other hand. As an illustration, we shall use the example of a female nurse in a situation of professional change (Guillen 2004). The ego-ecological exploration with the help of IMIS (Zavalloni & Louis-GuĂ©rin, 2005) is a way of revealing different identity stages of acuteness (helpful in sketching the plan), but it also shows how the subject’s representations come to be blurred under the effect of situational and emotional factors

Two warm Neptunes transiting HIP 9618 revealed by TESS and Cheops

peer reviewedHIP 9618 (HD 12572, TOI-1471, TIC 306263608) is a bright (G = 9.0 mag) solar analogue. TESS photometry revealed the star to have two candidate planets with radii of 3.9 ± 0.044 R (HIP 9618 b) and 3.343 ± 0.039 R (HIP 9618 c). While the 20.77291 d period of HIP 9618 b was measured unambiguously, HIP 9618 c showed only two transits separated by a 680-d gap in the time series, leaving many possibilities for the period. To solve this issue, CHEOPS performed targeted photometry of period aliases to attempt to recover the true period of planet c, and successfully determined the true period to be 52.56349 d. High-resolution spectroscopy with HARPS-N, SOPHIE, and CAFE revealed a mass of 10.0 ± 3.1M for HIP 9618 b, which, according to our interior structure models, corresponds to a 6.8 ± 1.4 per cent gas fraction. HIP 9618 c appears to have a lower mass than HIP 9618 b, with a 3-sigma upper limit of 50 d, opening the door for the atmospheric characterization of warm (Teq < 750 K) sub-Neptunes

The purpose of this work is to study the construction of the psychosocial identity of nurses as related to the feeling of professional ability. For that purpose, we have simultaneously led two studies so as to identify the nurses abilities and the identity representations of professional groups (first study), and to analyse the identity and ability structures that build up the identity of each subject (second study). Our results have allowed us to highlight three different forms of nurses abilities (transactional, technical and adaptive) which act as determining factors in the building up of their identity. They confirm the major role of abilities in the identity dynamics and reveal the prevalence of a transactional ability which comes as a response to the lack of professional acknowledgement and to the identity crisis which affects this professional group.MONTPELLIER-BU Lettres (341722103) / SudocSudocFranceF

International audiencePhosphoramidite ligands, based on a chiral amine and atropoisomerically flexible biphenols, induce high enantioselectivities (ee's up to 98%) in the copper-catalyzed conjugate addition of dialkyl zinc reagents to a variety of Michael acceptors

Applications of intensive HIFU simulation based on surrogate models using the CIVA HealthCare platform

International audienceHigh Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) uses the energy of an ultrasonic beam to cause localized heating to alter or destroy the targeted tissues. Due to its limited collateral effects, this minimally invasive therapy is, in its field of application, an alternative to surgical treatments and is rapidly expanding in terms of both clinical research and industrial development. In this context, the use of simulation is a crucial element to reduce both the development time and prototype costs, as well as the number of preclinical and clinical experiments. To this aim, CEA-LIST has been developing the simulation platform, CIVA HealthCare in partnership with INSERM for several years, which uses optimized and validated modules for the simulation of a whole HIFU therapy protocol. However, multi-parametric studies for treatment optimisation (probe design, protocol definition, etc.), sensitivity analysis, and tissue characterisation are very time-consuming, since they involve many simulations. We propose an alternative solution of replacing the computationally expensive direct solver with a surrogate model built from a database of simulation results. The procedure breaks down into two stages First, the database is adaptively constructed to maximise the fidelity of the associated interpolator computed from the pairs (Input/Output) of the database. Then in the second step, the interpolator, also called surrogate model or metamodel, enables the generation of results in near real time for configurations covered by the range of the database. This procedure and its related tools have been implemented in CIVA-HealthCare. To highlight the potential offered by such intensive HIFU simulation based on surrogate models strategy, two applications are presented: The first concerns real-time pressure field computation, and the second is based on thermal simulations and deals with sensitivity analyses according to uncertainties in tissues parameters

Use of mid-infrared spectroscopy to monitor shelf-life of ready-made meals

International audienceThe objective of this work was to use mid-infrared spectroscopy as a rapid analytical method to monitor the change in stored ready-made meals over time. Six ready-made meals were packaged in two plastic bags, Alu and Alox, and stored at 23 °C at a partial oxygen pressure of 96 kPa. After thawing, samples were directly measured in attenuated total reflectance mid-infrared spectroscopy between 4000 and 650 cm−1. Multivariate analyses applied on spectral data highlighted some changes in the global profile, particularly in Bolognese soup and in mashed potatoes with cheese. Indeed, the Bolognese sauce samples were clearly discriminated according to the storage time and according to the packaging type presenting a greater oxidation in the Alox packaging. The eigenvectors allowed for the identification of clear absorption bands at 2918, 2850, 1741 and 1164 cm−1 which increased over storage. These absorption bands could be attributed to fats, which thus appeared to have a major effect in sample discrimination. Mid-infrared spectroscopy was shown to be a relevant tool for discriminating the oxidation state of canned ready-made meals and might be used to determine their shelf-life
