Хипероними и навођење као компоненте дефиниција

Аутор у овом чланку образлаже тезу да се помоћу синонимичних дефиниција не могу објаснити значења свих врста лексичких јединица. На основу претпоставки (а) да свака лексичка јединица која нешто значи представља хипоним бар једне друге јединице и (б) да постоји могућност презентације адекватног начина употребе сваке јединице (путем њеног навођења или одређивања њене денотације), аутор разликује следеће типове дефиниција: (1) парцијалне предметне, (2) метајезичке помоћу постулата, (3) остензивне (иконографске) и (4) предметне уз навођење. Он, даље, указује на потребу увођења предметних дефиниција које садрже како хипероним лексичке јединице која се дефинише, тако и њу саму, а онда утврђује унутрашњу структуру и принципе грађења таквих дефиниција

Parenthesis and Metasentence

In the present article, which is based on his 1983 paper, the author reconsiders the question of whether it is possible to formulate a linguistically and logically plausible definition of the notion of parenthesis. Having brought to evidence the fact that one cannot avoid formulating it circularly, he advances his view on the theoretical and terminological consequences of this circumstance

Jubileusz Profesor Zuzanny Topolińskiej

The paper was written on the occasion of the ninetieth anniversary of Professor Zuzanna Topolińska’s birthday. The author presents the curriculum vitae of the scholar and her outstanding achievements in the Slavonic linguistics.Zuzanna Topolińska (born 1931, in Warsaw) graduated in Philology (with a specialization in linguistics) in 1952 at the University of Łódź. In 1959 she obtained her PhD degree at Warsaw University and in 1964 she was awarded the title of habilitated doctor. In 1974 she became an associate professor and in 1980 a full professor at the Institute of Polish Language at the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the years 1954–1992, she successively worked in the dialectological, grammatical, and semantic centers of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 1983 Professor Topolińska moved to Macedonia and worked as a visiting professor at the Department of Slavic Studies at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. She was one of the organizers of the Research Center for Areal Linguistics (ICAL) at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts. She was in charge of the center since its foundation in 2000 until 2016. In ICAL she was the head of the scientific project “The place of the Macedonian language in the Slavic and Balcan linguistic world”. Professor Topolińska is the author of over 600 publications which include more than 20 books. She is Doctor Honoris Causa of the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University (1997) and the University of Wrocław (2016). In 2016 at the University of Warsaw her doctorate was officially restored after 57 years. She is a member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (1976), the Polish Academy of Sciences and Arts (1991) and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (1997).Artykuł powstał z okazji dziewięćdziesiątej rocznicy urodzin Profesor Zuzanny Topolińskiej. Autor przedstawia curriculum vitae uczonej i jej wybitne osiągnięcia w językoznawstwie słowiańskim.Zuzanna Topolińska (ur. 1931, w Warszawie) ukończyła studia filologiczne (ze specjalnością językoznawczą) w 1952 roku na Uniwersytecie Łódzkim. Uzyskała stopień doktora w 1959 roku na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim, a w 1964 roku stopień doktora habilitowanego. W 1974 roku została profesorem nadzwyczajnym, a w 1980 roku profesorem zwyczajnym w Instytucie Języka Polskiego PAN. W latach 1954– 1992 pracowała kolejno w pracowniach dialektologicznej, gramatycznej i semantycznej PAN. W 1983 roku wyjechała do Macedonii, gdzie pracowała jako profesor gościnny w Katedrze Języków Słowiańskich na Uniwersytecie św. Cyryla i Metodego w Skopju. Była jednym z organizatorów Centrum Badawczego Lingwistyki Arealnej przy MANU i kierowała nim od jego założenia w 2000 roku do 2016 roku. Była kierownikiem projektu badawczego „Miejsce języka macedońskiego w językoznawstwie słowiańskim i bałkańskim na świecie”. Prof. Topolińska jest autorką ponad 600 publikacji, w tym ponad 20 książek. Jest doktorem honoris causa Uniwersytetu św. Cyryla i Metodego w Skopju (1997) i Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego (2016). W 2016 roku odbyło się na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim oficjalne odnowienie jej doktoratu po 57 latach. Prof. Topolińska jest członkiem Macedońskiej Akademii Nauk i Sztuk (1976), Polskiej Akademii Umiejętności (1991) oraz Serbskiej Akademii Nauk i Sztuk (1997)
