Deepint.net: A rapid deployment platform for smart territories

This paper presents an efficient cyberphysical platform for the smart management of smart territories. It is efficient because it facilitates the implementation of data acquisition and data management methods, as well as data representation and dashboard configuration. The platform allows for the use of any type of data source, ranging from the measurements of a multi-functional IoT sensing devices to relational and non-relational databases. It is also smart because it incorporates a complete artificial intelligence suit for data analysis; it includes techniques for data classification, clustering, forecasting, optimization, visualization, etc. It is also compatible with the edge computing concept, allowing for the distribution of intelligence and the use of intelligent sensors. The concept of smart cities is evolving and adapting to new applications; the trend to create intelligent neighbourhoods, districts or territories is becoming increasingly popular, as opposed to the previous approach of managing an entire megacity. In this paper, the platform is presented, and its architecture and functionalities are described. Moreover, its operation has been validated in a case study where the bike renting service of Paris—Vélib’ Métropole has been managed. This platform could enable smart territories to develop adapted knowledge management systems, adapt them to new requirements and to use multiple types of data, and execute efficient computational and artificial intelligence algorithms. Modern Integrated Development Environment (IDEs)

[EN] One of the important objectives of smart cities is to provide electronic services to citizens, however, this requires the building of related software which is a time-consuming process. In this regard, smart city infrastructures require development tools that can help accelerate and facilitate software development (mobile, IoT, and web applications). Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) are well-known tools that have brought together the features of various tools within one package. Modern IDEs include the advantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Computing. These technologies can help the developer overcome the complexities associated with multi-platform software products. This paper has explored AI techniques that are applied in IDEs. To this end, the Eclipse Theia (cloud-based IDE) and its AI-based extensions are explored as a case study. Proyecto interdisciplinar para el tratamiento de la educación ambiental en tercero de E.S.O

Resumen basado en la introducciónSe presenta un proyecto interdisciplinar donde se contemplan contenidos transversales, más concretamente la educación ambiental. El tratamiento de este tema conlleva la posibilidad de desarrollar valores como la solidaridad, el respeto, la defensa del medio o una actitud crítica. Y además, sensibiliza al alumno para que sea capaz de participar activamente en la conservación del medioambiente y desarrollar, en este sentido, actitudes críticas y solidarias. Entre la gran diversidad de temas que se pueden tratar dentro de la educación ambiental, este proyecto se centra en el aspecto de el agua, ya que es actualmente uno de los principales problemas medioambientales. Con estas unidades didácticas se persigue que los alumnos sean conscientes de la problemática creada en torno al agua y además adquieran conocimientos, prácticas y actitudes válidas y positivas, todo ello mediante estrategias en el aula que resulten lúdicas y motivadoras.Castilla La ManchaES

Democracia y derechos humanos. Desafíos para la emancipación.

El libro tiene su origen en dos simposios del congreso internacional "Ciencia, tecnologías y culturas. Diálogos entre las disciplinas del conocimiento. Mirando al futuro de América Latina y el Caribe”, organizado por la Universidad de Santiago de Chile y celebrado del 30 de octubre al 2 de noviembre de 2008. En principio, en vista de la calidad de las ponencias del simposio “Democracia: ideas y prácticas”, se pensó en la posibilidad de editar su memoria. Sin embargo, cuando, conversando con Luisa Ripa, se habló de que el simposio, “Derechos humanos: en el cruce con la religión, la ética y la educación”, del cual ella fue la principal coordinadora, se sumara a nuestro esfuerzo, se consideró que se podía hacer algo más ambicioso de lo inicialmente previsto, no sólo en cuanto a la cantidad de los trabajos que esta obra podría incorporar, sino también en cuanto a su calidad, al contemplar la conveniencia, que después se hizo realidad, de que los trabajos presentados en los respectivos simposios fueran revisados por sus autores para poder ser publicados en esta obra. Además, cinco trabajos que no fueron expuestos en el mencionado congreso se incorporaron a la primera parte del libro. De esta manera, la idea de publicar una memoria con las ponencias de un simposio acabó dando lugar al libro que ahora presentamos al público, coeditado por la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (Argentina) y El Colegio Mexiquens
