ПОДЪЕМ КОНФУЦИАНСТВА В СИНГАПУРЕ В НАЧАЛЕ ХХ В.

In the context of the successful development of Russian-Chinese and Russian-Singapore relations, it is very important to pay attention to the historical and cultural institutions that exist in the region. Confucianism - is philosophical and religious teaching, which had a huge impact on China and its immediate neighbors, including South-East Asia. Moreover, in Singapore, as well as in other countries in the region, lives a multi-million Chinese diaspora, in whose hands are concentrated significant financial and economic resources. China is not only an economic leader in the Asia-Pacific region, but also the reference point for all Chinese living in these countries, which causes a corresponding rise of ethnic consciousness. The article concerns to the rise of the national movement in Singapore at the beginning of the 20 century and one of its major figures - Lim Boon Kang. The author also makes an attempt to give a general description of the socio-economic situation of Chinese, Malay and Indian communities. A special attention is directed to Confucianism as an incentive to rise of national consciousness among the Chinese ethnic group living outside of China.В условиях успешного развития российско-китайских и российско-сингапурских отношений очень важно обратить внимание на историко-культурные институты, которые существуют в данном регионе. Конфуцианство - это философско-религиозное учение, которое оказало огромное влияние на Китай и его ближайших соседей, включая страны Юго-Восточной Азии. Кроме того, в Сингапуре, как и в других странах данного региона, проживает многомиллионная китайская диаспора, в руках которой сосредоточены значительные финансово-экономические ресурсы. Китай является не только экономическим лидером в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе, но и ориентиром для всех китайцев, проживающих в этих странах, что вызывает соответствующий рост этнического самосознания. Статья посвящена подъему национального движения в Сингапуре в начале XX в. и одному из его главных деятелей Лим Бун Кенгу. Произведена попытка дать общую характеристику социально-экономического положения китайской, малайской и индийской общин. Development of multiple-wavelength oscillation in plasma of a pulse-periodic He+Ne+Sr laser

Mechanisms of multiple-wavelength oscillation at the lines of He I, Ne I, Sr I, and Sr II ions in the active medium of a high-voltage pulse-periodic laser based on a He + Ne + Sr mixture at a total pressure of ∼200 Torr and duration of the current pulse of about 150–300 ns are analyzed. An important role played by collisional thermal mixing of the laser levels of Ne I and Sr I in multiplets, as well as by collisions of the second kind between metastable and unexcited atoms, in populating and depopulating atomic levels is demonstrated. Absolute populations of the upper and lower levels of the laser transitions in Ne I are found. It is discovered that the degree of ionization nonequilibrium of plasma, both during and after the pulse of current, determines the mechanism of population inversion in laser transitions

The stability of metal complexes with 8-mercaptoquinoline and alkyl-substituted 8-mercaptoquinolines in dimethylformamide

The stoichiometry and stability constants of 8-mercaptoquinoline and alkyl-8-mercaptoquinoline complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Ni(II), Bi(III) and Ag(I) were determined potentiometrically in dimethylformamide. The stability of the 8-mercaptoquinolinates decreases in the order Ag(I) ≫ Bi(III) ≫ Ni(II) ≫ Pb(II) ≫ Cd(II) ≫ Zn(II). Metal 7-methyl-8-mercaptoquinolinates are the most stable. The presence of the alkyl group in the 2-position (which has a steric effect) lowers the strength of metal-ligand bonding. © 1984
