    Meja putar penepat adalah alat bantu yang dirancang untuk mempermudah proses pengelasan khususnya pada pipa. Alat bantu ini dapat membantu pengelasan dalam penempatkan benda kerja dan memutar benda kerja selama proses pengelasan sehingga diharapkan hasil lasan konsisten dan stabil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu; menentukan rancangan desain alat bantu, menghitung bagian-bagian elemen mesin dan menghitung estimasi waktu produksi. Dalam proses perancangan menggunakan pendekatan metode VDI 2222. Motor penggerak yang digunakan yaitu motor DC jenis power window. Pengatur kecepatan putar motor digunakan metode Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM). Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh desain alat menggunakan engsel dan pengatur sudut untuk mengatur sudut kerja dari meja putar. Hasil perhitungan elemen mesin didapat daya untuk memutar meja adalah 0,055 watt. Diameter roda gigi yang digunakan adalah 60 mm dan 48 mm. Diameter poros yang digunakan adalah 28,58 mm. Umur bantalan 2,5 tahun. Kapasitas beban maksimal yaitu 15 kg. Waktu proses produksi alat bantu las ini yaitu 2,5 hari

    Nowdays, Alumunium is widely used and utilized in industrial activities because of light properties and having well mechanical strengths. The use of alumunium does not only limit on the use of new alumunium, but also the used one. The main purpose of this research, i.e., (1) testing of physical and mechanical properties of Al-Zn7 from the fussion of Crucible furnace; (2) analyzing crucible furnace of the Al-Zn7 fussion by comparing to the result of the first and second fussion. The method of this research was experimental research with the average value of each the first casting was 49,2 HRB and the second one was 50,3 HRB. Based on the test result showed that the quality of crucible furnace was good because it did not experience the significant changes

    Pellet ikan merupakan makanan ikan buatan sebagai pengganti makanan alami ikan dihabitat aslinya. Makanan buatan ini harus memenuhi persyaratan sesuai dengan SNI diantaranya adalah kadar air yang terkandung dalam pellet. Usaha pengeringan pellet ikan ini adalah menggunakan mesin pengering pellet. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat melalui Iptek bagi Masyarakat (IbM) ini adalah menrancang bangun mesin pengering pellet ikan tipe rotary dryer dan kegiatan usaha diseminasi sebagai wadah promosi dalam meningkatkan pemasaran pellet ikan dari kelompok Usaha Petani (UPPET). Hasil rancangan mesin pengering pellet ikan ini mampu menurunkan kadar air sebesar 0,05 % pada kondisi putaran rotary 3 rpm, putaran blower 1400 rpm, temperatur (T1) = 48 oC, dan temperatur (T2) = 34 oC, waktu pemanasan 60 menit. Hasil uji mesin pengering yang kedua dengan cara mengurangi sistem ulir di dalam rotary dan menambahkan penutup di ujung rotary serta meninggikan tungku pemanasan dihasilkan temperatur (T1) = 60 oC, dan temperatur (T2) = 48 oC serta mampu mengeringkan pellet ikan 0,4 % pada kondisi yang sama yaitu putaran rotary 3 rpm, putaran blower 1400 rpm.Kata Kunci: pengering pellet, rotary dryer, kadar air pele

    Tritih Lor is a village at Cilacap that consists of swaps that are formed by ocean tides. Our partner as a fish farmer group at Tritih Lor has utilized the swamp for milkfish cultivation to use a traditional system. There are some troubles on their business like the production is too low because they use a traditional system that relies on natural food from a relic carried away by the tides. Another problem that the fish are gone along the tide when the fish pond breaks. To solve that problem, we use a method of repairing the fish pond, install and arrangement of water intake and aeration systems, installation fence around the fish pond, installation of solar panels, pond fertilization, stocking the pond, and harvesting. The result of this activity is an increase in productivity and a decrease in fish mortality. This semi-intensive tidal swamp aquaculture pond can answer the previous problems of traditional cultivation. This activity also can create more technological-based cultivators, make a better income, and increase the usability of the unused land

    Electric bike is environmentally friendly vehicle because it doesn’t cause air pollution and it can uses electric from renewable energy sources to charge battery. Here is a lot of studies about electric bike in Indonesa, but only a few topic about electric bike for uphill climbing. In this study, electric bike will be designed for a load of 80 kgs to overcomes the uphill road at 21° of elevation. The design process contains activity such as calculation and selection of electric motor, drafting and manfacturing the frame, and riding test on flat road and uphill road at 21° of elevation. The results of design, electric bike uses 2000 watt BLDC motor, 48V 20Ah of battery, 13 teeth at front sprocket and 48 teeth of rear sprocket. From the riding test results, the bike’s maximum speed is 35 km/h reached on 5 seconds on flat road. While on uphill road with elevation of 21°, the bike’s maximum speed is 10 km/h reached on 10 seconds. The conclusion from this study that the electric bike are able to meet the needs to overcome uphill road

    The heat treatment process using the fuel system is very numerous and the heating time is quite long. The use of induction heaters, heat treatment can be done with a shorter time and less energy. The purpose of this research are; (1) Make a plan design, (2) Measure the part of machine element, (3) Measure the estimation of time and design budget, (4) Test the result of induction heater machine. The method in this study uses experimental. The result of concept design evaluation, i.e., the use of trapezoid screw on the lifter system was 0,2 kilowatt of motor power, 12 mm of shaft diameter, and ball bearing 6201 with the age of 0,31 years which determined from the calculation of machine element on the induction heater system. The total of time for making this machine was 3.182,06 minutes and it spent Rp 5.360.700,-. The result of test shows that the hardness rate of raw material mild steel that given heat of hardening temperature of 850 0C, that endured for 45 minutes increasing being 84,3 HRB. However, after being tempered temperature of 400 0C having a decrease being 69 HRB

    The vehicle's suspension system have function to reduce vibrations from the shock between the wheels and the road. Previous research discussed the simulation of spring loading with material variations. This research focuses on the design and analysis of springs that will be used in Electric Motorbikes (SEMOLI). Spring analysis between cast stainless steels and carbon stainless steels is done by calculating displacement transmissibility. The analytical method used is the SDOF harmonic method to determine the system response. The results of the analysis are considered for the selection of springs by determining the displacement transmissibility and the response of the suspension system. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of cast stainless steels and carbon stainless steels for active springs 6, 7, and 8 at speeds of 10 km/hour, 20 km/hour, 40 km/hour, 80 km/hour showed a decrease in displacement transmissibility. Characteristics for stainless steel material at steady state condition with active spring 6 is 0.3 second, while 7 and 8 are 0.25 second. The characteristics of overshoot for cast stainless steel material with active spring 6 are 55.3%, 7 are 52.7% and 8 are 50.3%. Stainless steel material has the characteristics of overshoot on active spring 6 is 55.8%, active spring 7 is 53.3%, and active spring 8 is 51 From the characteristic analysis, the best material obtained is cast stainless steel with a smaller displacement value dan good respon

    Dusun Bondan is a district located in a tidal area. Various problems arise in Dusun Bondan because of the use of water that doesn’t meet the quality of sanitation water causing several diseases. The water crisis experienced by the residents of Dusun Bondan becomes the worst disaster especially in summer because the water at Dusun Bondan is salty with high total dissolved solids. A water desalination system has been made to produce sanitation water that meets the standard based on Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. The methods used to overcome these problems are water source identification, design of desalination system, purchasing, fabrication and testing of desalinated water. The result of the activities is a desalination system which consists of pre-treatment using 4 filtration stages ended with reverse osmosis desalination using a special membrane. The result of desalinated water test shows that the water is odourless, tasteless, and other parameters meet the requirement of the standard

    Optimasi Parameter Pemesinan Menggunakan Metode Taguchi Untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Kebulatan Pada Pembubutan Internal Material S45C

    The proper use of machining parameters in order to improve general quality is expected to optimize the results of the machining process including the use of the Taguchi experimental design. Several controlled parameters are carried out that are the cutting and feed speed, and cutting depth with three levels in the internal turning process of S45C steel material. Experiments were carried out using the Taguchi experimental matrix L9(34). The turning results are rounded and the variance and signal to noise ratio analysis are carried out in accordance with the proposed Taguchi design. The results obtained, the cutting speed and the identified cutting depth factors affect the roundness of the internal turning results. The results of the analysis of variance on the S/N ratio with smaller and better quality characters and based on hypothesis testing, is that the cutting speed and significant cutting depth parameters with a 90% confidence level affect roundness. The conditions of the cutting speed of 200 [m/min], the feed speed of 0.05 [mm/rev], and the cutting depth of 0.25 [mm] are the optimum parameters obtained

    Analisis Performa PLTS Off Grid Untuk Sistem Desalinasi Metode Osmosis Terbalik

    Bondan Hamlet is a hamlet in Kampung Laut District, Cilacap. One of the community's problems is the lack of clean water and the PLN electricity network. In 2020, a desalination facility named Sidesi Mas will be built in Bondan Hamlet with a capacity of 240 liters/hour and using the reverse osmosis principle. The energy source for desalination uses a solar power plant (PLTS). Desalination management requires economic analysis, especially in determining the selling price of desalinated water. The cost of producing desalinated water can be calculated using the Cost of energy (CoE) value of the PLTS or the costs incurred to produce electrical energy per 1 kWh. To get the PLTS CoE, this article discusses a simulation to analyze the performance of PLTS desalination systems with Homer software. Homer performs analytical calculations based on a location input, solar energy potential, capacity, and costs of PLTS components as well as electrical load data. The simulation results show that PLTS energy production is 535 kWh/year, the CoE value is IDR 21,975/kWh and the production cost for producing clean water is IDR 183.13/liter.Dusun Bondan merupakan sebuah dusun di Kecamatan Kampung Laut, Cilacap. Salah satu permasalahan masyarakatnya adalah kurangnya air bersih.  Pada tahun 2020 di Dusun Bondan dibangun fasilitas desalinasi yang diberi nama Sidesi Mas dengan kapasitas 240 liter/jam dan menggunakan prinsip osmosa terbalik. Sumber energi untuk  desalinasi menggunakan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Pengelolaan desalinasi memerlukan analisis ekonomi, terutama dalam menentukan harga jual air bersih hasil desalinasi. Nilai Cost of energy (CoE) dari PLTS atau biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk menghasilkan energi listrik per 1 kWh digunakan untuk menghitung biaya produksi air bersih. Untuk mendapatkan CoE PLTS, artikel ini membahas suatu  simulasi untuk menganalisis performa PLTS sistem desalinasi dengan perangkat lunak Homer. Perhitungan analitik dilakukan Homer berdasarkan input lokasi, potensi energi matahari, kapasitas dan biaya-biaya komponen PLTS serta data beban listrik. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan produksi energi PLTS  535 kWh/tahun, nilai CoE  Rp 21.975,-/kWh dan biaya produksi  untuk memproduksi air bersih Rp 183,13,-/liter
