Alternatvas de preservação do rebordo alveolar - revisão de literatura

Visando a preservação do volume ósseo alveolar, vários pesquisadores recomendam procedimentos regenerativos para a manutenção da crista óssea com a utilização de biomateriais, no momento da extração dentária, tendem a diminuir o impacto da reabsorção óssea na remodelação do alvéolo. A colocação imediata dos implantes após a extração do elemento dental perdido, com deslocamento do retalho mínimo ou até mesmo inexistente, tem sido aprimorada, apresentando benefícios estéticos e funcionais para a futura prótese a ser colocada. O presente estudo visa destacar aspectos importantes para a manutenção do volume ósseo alveolar aopós a extração dentária e posterior sucesso na reabilitação com implantes dentários, através de um levantamento da literatura, utilizando periódicos indexados nas bases de dados MEDLINE-PUBMED e BIREME, além de livros clássicos da literatura e monografias que abordem temas correlacionados com o trabalho de conclusão de curso. Pode-se concluir dentro das literaturas deste estudo que procedimentos que visam a preservação do volume ósseo alveolar são eficazes para limitar as alterações horizontal e vertical da crista óssea pós-exodontia.Bone loss after tooth extraction constitutes a major issue within dentistry. For the preservation of alveolar bone volume, several researchers recommend placing immediate implants in fresh sockets and minimum displacement of the flap or even without their realization. Regenerative procedures for the maintenance of the bone crest with the use of biomaterials, at the time of tooth extraction, procedures tend to reduce the impact on bone resorption on the socket remodeling. Implant placement immediately after extraction of the dental element has been improved, with aesthetic and functional benefits for the future prosthesis to be fitted. This study aims to highlight important for the maintenance of alveolar bone volume and subsequent success in rehabilitation with dental implants, through a survey of literature, using journals indexed in MEDLINE, PUBMED and BIREME data bases, besides, classic books of literature and papers that address issues related to this essay. It may be concluded with the limitations of this study, that procedures aiming at the preservation of alveolar bone volume are effective to limit the horizontal and vertical changes of post-extraction bone crest

Prácticas probadas e implementadas en la ejecución del Compromiso de Mejoramiento de la carrera de Enseñanza del Inglés de la Universidad Nacional en tiempos de pandemia

This article systematizes the achievements and opportunities for improvement implemented in the execution of the Commitment of Improvement of the English Teaching Bachelor’s degree of the National University, Omar Dengo campus, during the years 2019 and 2020, after its second reaccreditation by SINAES in 2019. A selection of proven practices carried out in the components of the Curriculum, Academic Staff, Student Performance, and Alumni is presented in a mixed context of face-to-face and emergency remote participation. Furthermore, due to the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, adjustments and modifications were made to the work plan, and therefore the programmed activities were managed and executed to maintain the major’s quality standards.Este artículo sistematiza los logros y las oportunidades de mejora implementadas en la ejecución del Compromiso de Mejoramiento del Bachillerato en la Enseñanza del Inglés de la Universidad Nacional, campus Omar Dengo, durante los años 2019 y 2020, tras su segunda reacreditación por SINAES en 2019. Se presenta una selección de prácticas probadas en los componentes de plan de estudios, personal académico, desempeño estudiantil y graduados, en un contexto mixto de presencialidad y presencialidad remota. Debido a la emergencia sanitaria ocasionada por la pandemia de la COVID-19, se realizaron ajustes y modificaciones al plan de trabajo, y de esta forma se pudo gestionar y ejecutar las actividades programadas, para mantener las normas de calidad de la carrera

<b>Message Journal, Issue 4</b>: DESIGN POLITICS What are the politics of your design and what is the design of your politics?

In the Message journal issue 4 we wanted to create an arena where our discipline could discuss the nature and context of its role from an overtly political perspective. Whilst we felt in our bones there was an appetite for this, we were far from certain about its nature, scope and size. Consequently, the call for Message 4 was, to say the least, somewhat of a gamble. Thankfully, our hunches and speculations seem to have been close to the mark. We received more submissions for this call than the previous three issues combined. There was also an anticipation (albeit in hindsight a rather naive one) that some submissions might be positioned around conventional left, right and/or sustainable ecological perspectives. This did not really transpire. Nonetheless, we are very happy to say that the creative, eclectic and diverse nature of the responses has resulted in a range of exemplars that reflect the varied nature, concerns and foci of our vibrant discipline. These extend from John Calvelli’s philosophical dialectic on the fundamental nature and origin of images, their use and effects, to Elizabeth Herrmann’s self-initiated craft-based approach, to do good locally and make a social contribution. Both of these papers are also examples of the higher than usual number of submissions from North America, a substantial proportion of which relate to the politics of cultural and/or racial identity, such as Omari Souza’s, ‘Racist Motifs in Everyday Branding’. Message is dedicated to the development of Graphic Communication Design research. Particularly (although not exclusively) through authors’ analysis of and reflection on their own practice-based research. Through peer reviewed submissions and occasional commissioned essays, Message explores, discusses and challenges the boundaries, roles, practices and outputs of Graphic Communication Design. Association of kidney disease measures with risk of renal function worsening in patients with type 1 diabetes

Background: Albuminuria has been classically considered a marker of kidney damage progression in diabetic patients and it is routinely assessed to monitor kidney function. However, the role of a mild GFR reduction on the development of stage 653 CKD has been less explored in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) patients. Aim of the present study was to evaluate the prognostic role of kidney disease measures, namely albuminuria and reduced GFR, on the development of stage 653 CKD in a large cohort of patients affected by T1DM. Methods: A total of 4284 patients affected by T1DM followed-up at 76 diabetes centers participating to the Italian Association of Clinical Diabetologists (Associazione Medici Diabetologi, AMD) initiative constitutes the study population. Urinary albumin excretion (ACR) and estimated GFR (eGFR) were retrieved and analyzed. The incidence of stage 653 CKD (eGFR &lt; 60 mL/min/1.73 m2) or eGFR reduction &gt; 30% from baseline was evaluated. Results: The mean estimated GFR was 98 \ub1 17 mL/min/1.73m2 and the proportion of patients with albuminuria was 15.3% (n = 654) at baseline. About 8% (n = 337) of patients developed one of the two renal endpoints during the 4-year follow-up period. Age, albuminuria (micro or macro) and baseline eGFR &lt; 90 ml/min/m2 were independent risk factors for stage 653 CKD and renal function worsening. When compared to patients with eGFR &gt; 90 ml/min/1.73m2 and normoalbuminuria, those with albuminuria at baseline had a 1.69 greater risk of reaching stage 3 CKD, while patients with mild eGFR reduction (i.e. eGFR between 90 and 60 mL/min/1.73 m2) show a 3.81 greater risk that rose to 8.24 for those patients with albuminuria and mild eGFR reduction at baseline. Conclusions: Albuminuria and eGFR reduction represent independent risk factors for incident stage 653 CKD in T1DM patients. Analisi di residui solidi industriali pre e post trattamento idrometallurgico per la valutazione del potenziale recupero di materie prime critiche

Si è calcolata la percentuale di metalli rimossi (R%) da fly ash e scarti industriali ceramici sottoposti a vari tipi di leaching con acqua deionizzata, acido solforico (pH1), attacco alcalino (pH14) e trattamento combinato acido-alcalino. Il parametro R è molto importante perché è in grado di fornire un’indicazione riguardo l’effettiva efficacia di un tipo di leaching rispetto ad un altro. Così facendo è possibile valutare la reale fattibilità del recupero di materie prime critiche (secondo la Commissione Europea) da questi rifiuti. Per quanto riguarda il recupero da fly ash, il trattamento con leaching acido si dimostra il più valido per numero di elementi e percentuale di recupero. Tuttavia, anche se il leaching combinato per certi aspetti può sembrare migliore, bisogna anche considerare i costi di lavorazione, che in questo caso aumenterebbero sensibilmente. Per quanto riguarda gli scarti ceramici, è il leaching combinato a mostrare il miglior potenziale di rimozione dei metalli critici, sia in termini di percentuali che per il numero di elementi rimossi

L'esame delle tradizioni sulla battaglia condotto al fine di chiarirne natura, valore ed origini, rivela in primo luogo che esse si ripartiscano in tre f iloni : a) una tradizione relativa al soccorso prestato in battaglia ai Locresi dai Dioscuri; b) la storia del ferimento e della guarigione del duce crotoniate Formione; c) la storia parallela delle vicende di Leonimo. La successiva discussione mostra la conformità a livelli di pensiero arcaici di detti filoni, ne recupera i nuclei più antichi ed individua le linee di sviluppo dell'intera tradizione e la sua collocazione cronologica. In conclusione si enuclea un livello più antico, rappresentato da tradizioni locali locresi incentrate intorno all'epifania dei Dioscuri, nate in stretto rapporto cronologico con i fatti ed aventi natura ufficiale e propagandi- stica. Posteriormente a questa tradizione, ma presupponendola, nasce la storia di Formione, anch'essa di ispirazione locrese, ma forse a sfondo folklorico-rituale. Allo stesso livello culturale ed in relazione di simmetria tematica con questa si pone la storia di Leonimo, nata in ambiente crotoniate forse sullo scorcio del VI secolo.Giangiulio Maurizio. Analisi e Re-design dei flussi per lo sviluppo di nuovi prodotti: il caso Euro Company S.p.A. SB

I cambiamenti di mercato generano nelle aziende la necessità di modificare il proprio portafoglio prodotti per far sì che rimangano competitive. Euro Company è un’azienda che si occupa di commercializzare frutta secca e suoi derivati. Per mantenere il suo posizionamento, a seguito di queste variazioni, avvenute soprattutto negli ultimi anni, si è trovata ad inserire nuove referenze. Questo ha portato ad un aumento del carico di lavoro dovuto alla costante ricerca e sviluppo. Per questo motivo si è deciso di introdurre un nuovo reparto e di sviluppare i flussi ad esso collegati. L’obiettivo è stato quello di scrivere delle procedure che potessero essere seguite dai dipendenti coinvolti nel flusso. Per ogni singola attività, sono stati pensati degli strumenti o dei metodi che potessero essere implementati e che quindi sono stati messi in pratica. Un esempio riguarda il monitoraggio di ogni singola attività. Si è pensato che lo strumento più facile ed immediato potesse essere un Gantt, e, per questo motivo è stato implementato, così come da progetto. Un’altra attività introdotta a seguito d valutazioni interne aziendali è stata la possibilità di fare una analisi di fattibilità interna dei progetti, per verificare la convenienza economica nel ricorrere all’outsourcing o all’insourcing. Tutte le azioni proposte sono state accolte in maniera positiva e sono, ad oggi, utilizzate in azienda. Occorre però valutare a distanza di tempo se le tempistiche di progetto reali rispecchiano realmente quanto dichiarato dai dipendenti nel corso delle interviste. Questo perché, nel caso in cui si abbia un esito negativo, occorre valutare le azioni che hanno comportato un ritardo per valutare se è possibile ottimizzarle. Oltre a ciò, è interesse dell’azienda focalizzarsi solo sui progetti che possono garantire un ritorno in termini economici, quindi, grazie alle soluzioni proposte nell’elaborato, si avranno meno difficoltà nello svolgere ciò
