Dispersion relations and subtractions in hard exclusive processes

We study analytical properties of the hard exclusive processes amplitudes. We found that QCD factorization for deeply virtual Compton scattering and hard exclusive vector meson production results in the subtracted dispersion relation with the subtraction constant determined by the Polyakov-Weiss $D$-term. The relation of this constant to the fixed pole contribution found by Brodsky, Close and Gunion and defined by parton distributions is proved, while its manifestation is spoiled by the small $x$ divergence. The continuation to the real photons limit is considered and the numerical correspondence between lattice simulations of $D$-term and low energy Thomson amplitude is found.Comment: 4 pages, journal versio

QCD radiative and power corrections and Generalized GDH sum rules

We extend the earlier suggested QCD-motivated model for the $Q^2$-dependence of the generalized Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn (GDH) sum rule which assumes the smooth dependence of the structure function $g_T$, while the sharp dependence is due to the $g_2$ contribution and is described by the elastic part of the Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule. The model successfully predicts the low crossing point for the proton GDH integral, but is at variance with the recent very accurate JLAB data. We show that, at this level of accuracy, one should include the previously neglected radiative and power QCD corrections, as boundary values for the model. We stress that the GDH integral, when measured with such a high accuracy achieved by the recent JLAB data, is very sensitive to QCD power corrections. We estimate the value of these power corrections from the JLAB data at $Q^2 \sim 1 {GeV}^2$. The inclusion of all QCD corrections leads to a good description of proton, neutron and deuteron data at all $Q^2$.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures (to be published in Physical Review D

СОЦІАЛЬНІ ТА МАРКЕТИНГОВІ АСПЕКТИ ТРАНСФОРМАЦІЙНИХ ПРОЦЕСІВ В УКРАЇНІ В УМОВАХ ЄВРОІНТЕГРАЦІЇ

The successful transition of transformation processes in Ukraine under the conditions of European integration is possible only with the intensification of the competitive advantages of the country, the main of which is human intellectual capital. Unfortunately, current data on migration processes show an active outflow of intellectual capital from Ukraine. In such conditions, there is a need to find additional tools for influencing migration processes to reduce the outflow of intellectual capital from Ukraine. One of such tools is social marketing. The significance of social marketing for transformational processes is determined by its focus on promoting new ideas in society, effective influence on selected target groups and changing their behavior in order to get benefits not only for individuals but also for the society, taking into account its needs in the conditions of limited resources. The purpose of the research is to substantiate the areas of improvement of the transformation processes in Ukraine in the conditions of European integration, based on the use of social marketing tools. The article analyzes the theoretical approaches to the definition of the essence of transformation, examines the position of Ukraine in world ratings, reflecting the effectiveness of the transformation processes in different countries. The approaches to the definition of the essence of social marketing and its importance for the transformational processes in society are substantiated. The possible outcomes for society as a result of changes in behavior and the choice of Ukrainian youth in favor of study and work in Ukraine instead of emigration abroad are considered. The peculiarities of the 4P model in social marketing are presented in order to preserve intellectual capital in Ukraine. The directions of application of social marketing tools for improvement of transformation processes in Ukraine in the conditions of European integration are substantiated.Проанализированы теоретические подходы к определению сущности трансформации, исследованы позиции Украины в мировых рейтингах, отражающих эффективность протекания трансформационных процессов в разных странах. Обосновано значение социального маркетинга для трансформационных процессов в обществе. Приведены особенности модели 4Р в социальном маркетинге с цельюсохранения интеллектуального капитала в Украине. Обоснованы направления использования инструментов социального маркетинга для усовершенствования трансформационных процессов в Украине в условиях евроинтеграции.Успішне протікання трансформаційних процесів в Україні в умовах європейської інтеграції можливий лише за умови посилення конкурентних переваг країни, основним з яких є людський інтелектуальний капітал. На жаль, поточні дані про процеси міграції свідчать про активний відплив інтелектуального капіталу з України. У таких умовах потрібно знайти додаткові інструменти впливу на міграційні процеси для зменшення відпливу інтелектуального капіталу з України. Одним із таких інструментів є соціальний маркетинг. Значення соціального маркетингу для трансформаційних процесів визначається його спрямованістю на просування нових ідей у суспільстві, ефективним впливом на обрані цільові групи та зміною їхньої поведінки, з тим щоб отримувати вигоди не тільки для окремих людей, а й для суспільства, беручи до уваги його потреби в умовах обмежених ресурсів. Метою дослідження є обґрунтування напрямів удосконалення процесів трансформації в Україні в умовах європейської інтеграції на основі використання інструментів соціального маркетингу. Аналізуються теоретичні підходи до визначення сутності трансформації, розглядається позиція України у світових рейтингах, що відображають ефективність трансформаційних процесів у різних країнах. Обґрунтовано підходи до визначення сутності соціального маркетингу і його значення для трансформаційних процесів у суспільстві. Розглянуто можливі результати для суспільства внаслідок змін поведінки та вибору української молоді на користь навчання і роботи в Україні замість еміграції за кордон. Quantum memory for light via stimulated off-resonant Raman process: beyond the three-level Lambda-scheme approximation

We consider a quantum memory scheme based on the conversion of a signal pulse into a long-lived spin coherence via stimulated off-resonant Raman process. For a storing medium consisting of alkali atoms, we have calculated the Autler-Townes resonance structure created by a strong control field. By taking into account the upper hyperfine states of the D1 optical transition, we show important deviations from the predictions of the usual three-level Lambda-scheme approximation and we demonstrate an enhancement of the process for particular detunings of the control. We estimate the memory efficiency one can obtain using this configuration.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure

Transition function for the Toda chain model

The method of Lambda-operators developed by S. Derkachov, G. Korchemsky, A. Manashov is applied to a derivation of eigenfunctions for the open Toda chain. The Sklyanin measure is reproduced using diagram technique developed for these Lambda-operators. The properties of the Lambda-operators are studied. This approach to the open Toda chain eigenfunctions reproduces Gauss-Givental representation for these eigenfunctions

Spacecraft reflectors thermomechanical analysis

In this article, thermo-mechanical analysis results of the composite reflectors for the use on the geostationary Earth orbit possibility studies are described. The behavior of two different space reflector structures manufactured on composite materials is investigated. The estimates of reflecting surfaces RMS deviations for the two extreme cases orbital inclinations are presented
