    El objetivo de este trabajo fue dar a conocer el diseño e implementación de un sistema seguro de comunicación CAN por medio del protocolo de encriptación AES 128 en dos tarjetas de evaluación, con comportamiento similar a las unidades de control electrónico automotriz. Se utilizaron cables de calibre reducido, dos tarjetas de evaluación de Atmel y una pantalla de cristal líquido de tamaño 16x2. Se concluyó que la información transmitida permanecía integra tanto en la transmisión y recepción con el algoritmo de encriptación, lo que sugiere que en otras áreas como la domótica podrían usar redes basadas en CAN con una capa de seguridad como AES.ITESO, A.     RFID Presenter: A New Way to Feel a Talk

    RFID is a key which enables technology for the Internet of Things paradigm, allowing the virtualization of the physical objects into the Internet. There are uncountable applications whereby these connected objects can be a breakthrough for new business models, and this work shows a good example of that. We present the RFID Presenter as the evolution of a classical consumer electronic product to a novel connected Internet product with the addition of the RFID technology. It supposes a new way to manage the conference talks in a personalization way, improving the end-user interaction and providing services that were impossible before. The design, implementation, and validation of a real gadget are well explained in order to give a real example of how the Internet of Things can be integrated into daily objects and enhance the end-user experiences

    En el caso de esta tesis, el problema a investigar surgió a partir de la observación del comportamiento de la sociedad frente a las TIC y de la experiencia de la tarea docente que desarrolla la tesista en el ámbito de la educación superior. Actualmente, las TIC ocupan un espacio importante dentro de las comunicaciones tanto en el campo laboral y de la investigación como en el del divertimiento, pero en el ámbito educativo sólo se han incorporado notoriamente en la "enseñanza a distancia". Existe una tendencia a incorporar las nuevas tecnologías al aula de igual manera en que éstas se han incorporado a la vida cotidiana y profesional: de forma paulatina, sin aprovechar todo el potencial que brindan estas herramientas como mediadoras de la enseñanza

    Caustic Ingestion in Children

    Caustic ingestion (CI) is an unfortunate event that occurs in families with a poor prevention culture. Its prevalence is unknown in developing countries; it occurs mainly in children < 5 years and is more common in boys. The chemical caustic agents are alkaline (85%) or acid products stored in food or beverage containers without warning labels and safety caps. The immediate symptoms include salivation, oropharyngeal burns, vomiting and oropharyngeal/retrosternal pain. Upper endoscopy is the first‐line tool to identify the type and extension of oesophageal and gastric damage. A barium swallow performed 2–3 weeks after the CI may identify oesophageal stricture. Dysphagia occurs in about one‐third of cases. Regarding the nutritional status, children with dysphagia and/or oesophageal strictures may have lower fat reserves or muscle mass than the cases without these complications, meaning impaired nutritional status. All patients should be hospitalized for evaluation and treatment. Hemodynamic stabilization and adequacy of the patient’s airway are priorities; vomiting induction and gastric lavage are contraindicated. Methylprednisolone in II-b oesophageal burns for 3 days diminishes the risk of stricture. Selected cases will require oesophageal dilatations, gastrostomy or oesophageal replacement by colon or stomach. There are other promising agents in the management of caustic oesophageal strictures

    Dynamic Characterization of Crystalline Supramolecular Rotors Assembled through Halogen Bonding

    A modular molecular kit for the preparation of crystalline molecular rotors was devised from a set of stators and rotators to gain simple access to a large number of structures with different dynamic performance and physical properties. In this work, we have accomplished this with crystalline molecular rotors self-assembled by halogen bonding of diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, acting as a rotator, and a set of five fluorine-substituted iodobenzenes that take the role of the stator. Using variableerature 1H T1 spin-lattice relaxation measurements, we have shown that all structures display ultrafast Brownian rotation with activation energies of 2.4-4.9 kcal/mol and pre-exponential factors of the order of (1-9) × 1012 s-1. Line shape analysis of quadrupolar echo 2H NMR measurements in selected examples indicated rotational trajectories consistent with the 3-fold or 6-fold symmetric potential of the rotator
