    Incremental and Modular Context-sensitive Analysis

Context-sensitive global analysis of large code bases can be expensive, which can make its use impractical during software development. However, there are many situations in which modifications are small and isolated within a few components, and it is desirable to reuse as much as possible previous analysis results. This has been achieved to date through incremental global analysis fixpoint algorithms that achieve cost reductions at fine levels of granularity, such as changes in program lines. However, these fine-grained techniques are not directly applicable to modular programs, nor are they designed to take advantage of modular structures. This paper describes, implements, and evaluates an algorithm that performs efficient context-sensitive analysis incrementally on modular partitions of programs. The experimental results show that the proposed modular algorithm shows significant improvements, in both time and memory consumption, when compared to existing non-modular, fine-grain incremental analysis techniques. Furthermore, thanks to the proposed inter-modular propagation of analysis information, our algorithm also outperforms traditional modular analysis even when analyzing from scratch.Comment: 56 pages, 27 figures. Branded apps in Spain as a means of communicating trends in fashion

Apps are of great interest and curiosity for the users of mobile phones, being already highly unloaded and used for the users of smartphones. The fashion mobile applications represent only a fraction of the mobile global applications (almost 0,2 %), nevertheless they are starting to deserve special attention from designers and researchers in this area. Brands want to know about the new trends in the market to be able to continue surprising and impressing their public. In this study, we seek to identify the most relevant aspects of the applications that help to improve the image of the Spanish prêt-à-porter fashion brands such as Zara, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, Shana, Bimba y Lola,... The study considers the position in the ranking of downloads, the category, the opinions, valuations of the users and the criteria described by Jami Lawrence (2010): amusement, saving of time and / or comfort in the use. Findings: In this analysis, we seek to identify the most relevant aspects of the applications that help to improve the image of the brand, in this particular case of the Spanish prêt-à-porter fashion brands. - It is indispensable that the applications entertain the user, save time and / or comfort, we have observed that they are these characteristics those that are valued by the users. - Another factor that is valued in the applications, is that the application should make sense for the user and to have an added value that doesn't necessarily have to be related with the nature of the brand. - But it is important that applications to be developed have to be coherent with the identity of the brand. As in any other area, the appearance of new mass media, like the mobile, is the introduction of new challenges. – Finally, it is important for the brand to adapt constantly to the new technologies, but we must not forget that a precarious incorporation and badly developed app it can be more harmful than beneficial

New design parameters for biparabolic beach profiles (SW Cadiz, Spain)

    Get PDF
165 profiles of seventy-one beaches along the Gulf of Cadiz (SW, Spain) were studied to improve the formulation of the beach profile in tidal seas. Maritime climate, degree of energy exposure and size of the sand grains were taken into account to study the two sections of the biparabolic profile. The objective of the study was the determination of more accurate formulations of the design parameters for the equilibrium profile that involves tidal seas. These formulations were modelled and validated based on existing profiles to quantify the error existing between the real profile and the modelling. This comparative analysis was extended by considering the formulations proposed by other authors. The best results were obtained with the proposal presented herein

In this essay, we consider the ways in which disruptive strategies align with collaborative strategies to produce innovations aimed at ameliorating global challenges in the twenty-first century. Specifically, we consider how they work through our current initiative, Arkansas Global Changemakers, which creates new international partnerships at the local level in order to challenge long-standing obstacles to global social change

«La táctica se invierte debiendo ser de afuera para adentro» Ex forjistas exiled in Montevideo and their early attempt of neoperonism in the Argentinian context of the revolución libertadora (1955-1958)

In September 1955, just after the coup that overthrew Juan Domingo Perón, the president of the Peronist Party, Alejandro Leloir, claimed when greeting the de facto government, that the Peronist movement was beginning a march “without walkers”. The striking statement envisaged an opportunity to revitalize both the movement and the Peronist Party from below and provide them with their own power. Different Peronist political sectors were interested in supporting the initiative in order to reformulate the party structure and assume control in the absence of the charismatic leader. Among them, there was a group of exforjistas who were part of the government of the Buenos Aires province while Domingo Mercante was in office. In view of the new political situation they made an early (neo) peronist attempt to imprint their political-ideological and organizational mark to the movement and the party. So, they tested several options in the changing scenarios that generated the self called Revolución Libertadora. Initially, they tried to capitalize party institutional continuity from the weekly magazine “El 45”, and later, from exile in Uruguay, they encouraged both the coordination with Peronist military who supported the coup and the creation of an Exiles Postal Congress. Finally, they attempted to constitute an electoral front, which, in turn, would leave them significantly disadvantaged.Fil: Contreras, Gustavo Nicolas. Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata.
