Handling Social Stigma Around Covid-19 Case Study in Lut Tawar District

The aim is to analyze the handling of the social stigma of Covid-19 in terms of social aspects and aspects of government policy, the case study of Lut Tawar District, Central Aceh Regency. The research design used qualitative research with a descriptive approach. There were 7 informants in this study, consisting of 1 head of the covid task force, 1 head of the puskesmas, 1 village head, 3 community leaders who were exposed to covid 19 and 1 community member who was not exposed to covid 19 in Lut Tawar District, Central Aceh. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the informants knew the covid 19 virus and its prevention, fear and worry appeared stigma on people who had cough, flu and fever were considered symptoms of covid 19, people stayed away and did not want to be in contact with the informant even though they had recovered. lack of village officials paying attention to communities exposed to covid 19. The government, heads of health centers and village heads have carried out their duties in dealing with stigma in the community by establishing command posts, coordinating patients exposed to health workers, driving vaccination programs, prohibiting people from gathering and making protocol regulations health. The conclusion obtained from the results of this study is that efforts to involve influencers to strengthen messages that can reduce stigma, change patterns of friendship behavior and prevention efforts have been carried out starting from lower levels of government to upper levels

A Conceptual Model Of Foreign Student Profiling

The proliferation of the foreign student’s enrolment is projected at 7.2 million in the year 2025 from 1.8 million in 2000. Malaysian institutions are driven by foreign student’s recruitment in line with Ministry of Higher Education vision of recruiting 200,000 foreign students by the year 2020. Although Malaysia emerging as one of top ten foreign students’ recruiter, the knowledge of the extent of foreign students’ intention to study in Malaysia is still modest. Yet, there is no precise profiling system that could infer whether these foreign students are genuinely coming into Malaysia for education purpose. To fill this study gap, we utilize the immense of information which available through the various types of social media, we adopt the user profiling method using social network analysis for the detection purpose of foreign students in Malaysian public universities

Recovering Residual Xenon Propellant for an Ion Propulsion System

Future nuclear-powered Ion-Propulsion- System-propelled spacecraft such as Jupiter Icy Moon Orbiter (JIMO) will carry more than 10,000 kg of xenon propellant. Typically, a small percentage of this propellant cannot be used towards the end of the mission because of the pressure drop requirements for maintaining flow. For large missions such as JIMO, this could easily translate to over 250 kg of unusable xenon. A proposed system, the Xenon Recovery System (XRS), for recovering almost all of the xenon remaining in the tank, would include a cryopump in the form of a condenser/evaporator that would be alternatively cooled by a radiator, then heated electrically. When the pressure of the xenon in the tank falls below 0.7 MPa (100 psia), the previously isolated XRS will be brought online and the gas from the tank would enter the cryopump that is initially cooled to a temperature below saturation temperature of xenon. This causes xenon liquefaction and further cryopumping from the tank till the cryopump is full of liquid xenon. At this point, the cryopump is heated electrically by small heaters (70 to 80 W) to evaporate the liquid that is collected as high-pressure gas (<7 MPa; 1,000 psia) in an intermediate accumulator. Check valves between the tank and the XRS prevent the reverse flow of xenon during the heating cycle. The accumulator serves as the high-pressure source of xenon gas to the Xenon Feed System (XFS) downstream of the XRS. This cycle is repeated till almost all the xenon is recovered. Currently, this system is being baselined for JIMO

Penggunaan Model Problem Based Learning dalam Menumbuhkan Sikap Kebangsaan pada Pembelajaran Pkn

This classroom action research aims to ascertain the nationality growth of the attitude in Citizenship Education by using a model of problem-based learning in civics. This type of research is a classroom action research which is done to increase the student’s nationality, the strengths and weaknesses of teachers and students in the learning process. The results that obtained show that Problem based learning can foster student’s nationality attitudes and Problem based learning can foster the creativity of the teachers. In the first cycle, 20 students have the nationality attitude with an average value of 62 % . The second cycle shows the enhancement of the 24 students with an average value 74 % and the nationality attitude of the third cycle keep growing up, 28 students with an average value of  86 % from 32 students overall.Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan sikap Kebangsaan siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan kelas yang dilakukan untuk menumbuhkan  sikap kebangsaan siswa, kekurangan dan kelebihan guru, serta siswa  dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian yang di peroleh menunjukkan bahwa model problem based learning dapat menumbuhkan  sikap kebangsaan siswa dan model problem based learning dapat menumbuhkan kreativitas guru. Pada siklus I, 20 siswa memiliki sikap kebangsaan dengan rata-rata nilai 62%, siklus II menunjukan pertumbuhan yaitu 24 siswa  atau rata-rata nilai 74%, dan pertumbuhan sikap kebangsaan siswa  semakin meningkat pada sisklus III, yaitu 28 siswa dengan rata rata nilai 86 % dari jumlah peserta didik secara keseluruhan yaitu 32 siswa.
