Transformative drama as a tool of cultural and social activities In the educational process. Universal structure, cultural content

According to theater anthropologists, the world history of theater dates back more than thousand years before. No less time has art been seen as a tool of education. Hunting pantomime was used by our ancestors for hunting, creating the equivalent of reality and teaching young men the art of hunting. Ancient Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle, stressed the role of art in education. Furthermore, medieval church teachers appealed to the tradition of art education. It was already in the prehistoric times, followed by ancient and medieval period when the effectiveness of cultural activity in working methods in care centers was indicated and argued. There is still a considerable amount of reports, descriptions, case studies, research papers being developed which emphasize educational potential of art. With such a wide variety, there is no need to create new ones. The question that arises is whether this education holds any cultural value. This article is an attempt to answer the question of whether drama therapy successfully used in education is culturally intertwined

The pedagogical transformative drama in working with SEBD pupils : case studies in a Polish school

Education and therapy through art is increasingly often used to work with various groups of marginalized pupils. Henry Giroux defined this form of teaching as pedagogy for difference. Giroux postulates to create a kind of creative education which would make it possible to build a space for those belonging to what Gina Buijs calls the “subdued groups”. The new way of teaching should give the participants of the teaching process an opportunity to express themselves. Pupils with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties (SEBDs) belong to such a group, one from the sphere of “elsewhere”. The first aim of the paper is to present the results of working with SEBD pupils in a Polish school. During the classes, a pedagogical transformative drama was used. The second aim of this paper is to present the pedagogical transformative drama for children and the ways of using it in working with SEBD pupils

Activity and Variety of Soil Microorganisms Depending on the Diversity of the Soil Tillage System

    Get PDF
Soil is an ecosystem capable of producing the resources necessary for the development of the living organisms. Soil microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) are responsible for biomass decomposition, biogenic element circulation, which makes nutrients available to plants, biodegradation of impurities, and maintenance of soil structure. The presence of microorganisms in soil depends on their chemical composition, moisture, pH, and structure. Human activity has an indispensable influence on the formation of ecosystems. Soil tillage has an impact on the chemical and physical parameters of the soil, and thus on its biological properties. The use of inappropriate agro-technology can lead to degradation of the soil environment. Changes in soil properties may cause changes in soil abundance, activity, and diversity. Cultivation can affect microorganisms, causing their mortality and reducing the availability of nourishment in the soil. Therefore, it is extremely important to assess the diversity and microbiological activity of soil in relation to soil-tillage technology
