The essay traces the salient historical steps of the Jesuat congregation, highlighting its genesis and development up to the year of its suppression (1668). The focus is on the dynamics triggered by the born of the Jesuat congregation, who grew on the border between the “church of the religious” and the “church of the laity”, and on the use of intellectual energies of the Jesuat friars, because they were directed towards defining and safeguarding their own religious identity. The latter had two focal points: the example of Giovanni Colombini, its first “father”, and, at the same time, the defence of the autonomy necessary to move interstitially between institutions, groups and movements. The historical parable of the Jesuats, in fact, clearly shows the importance assumed by the network of social relations for the constitution of the movement and for its progressive normalisation

Automatic Identification of Domain Terms: An Approach for Italian

    Get PDF
The problem of creating a fully automated specific-domain thesaurus is very topical. The paper presents a novel method to address this problem in the Italian language. The main feature of this approach is the integration of different methods: machine learning classification methods working on the semantic representation of candidate terms, word embeddings models, able to capture the semantics of words, and a computation of the degree of specialization of a term. The work is in progress and results obtained so far are promising

To evaluate the results of displaced radial neck fractures in children trated surgically with flexible titanium intramedullary nails. Method: This is a retrospective study of five cases of radial neck fractures with displacement greater than 30 degrees fixed with flexible intramedullary nails. Patients were evaluated regarding functional outcome through range of motion and the Mayo Elbow Performance Score (MEPS), as well as radiographic exams. Results: Five patients, with a mean age of 8.4 years were assessed, during a mean post-operative follow up of 12.2 months. Open reduction was necessary in three cases with major displacement. At the end of the follow up, 80% of the patients had excellent results, 20% good results, and all fractures healed. As complications we observed: heterotopic ossification, superficial infection and radial head necrosis. Conclusions: In spite of the small sample, our results with flexible titanium intramedullary nails were similar to the current literature, with good functional outcomes.242818
