The article I am going to propose is a reflection on the theme of recognition in working and social contexts, and focuses on problems and troubles people cope with in this historical moment. This is a period during which reciprocity and recognition relationships involving our education and work career seem to have no more value, because the world of work now focuses on involving people in production and does not care about involved subjects' life plans. I also wish to point out risks and sufferance affecting subjects who perceive with always greater precision that they are more and more often oppressed by labor and mind exploitation, rather than considered human resources with a working competence who can participate in a wider project

Misunderstanding Situations in Culture and Cultural Care

This article focuses on cultural misunderstanding in care relations, starting from the analysis of the effects misunderstanding causes in the relation between doctor and migrant patient. The Western medical model tends to be based on objective data, which can be diagnosed through more and more precise and detailed techniques, but it excludes human and cultural aspects of subjectivity and relation from care. This exclusion creates distance, which increases when doctor and patient do not share a cultural homogeneity but differ for their language and the way they conceive their body, health, and disease. By showing some clinical examples, this contribution points out how specialized competence can cause dark areas of obscurity, disagreement, and misunderstanding, although being successful in many distressing situations. The interpretation of misunderstanding in the field of healthcare delimits our observation to disease, treatment, and the relation between doctor and patient, but the identification and comprehension of misunderstanding are possible also, focusing our attention on the organizational and institutional environment where misunderstanding takes place

Dove è finito il gruppo?

Gli autori affrontano la questione della “sparizione” nella contemporaneità dei gruppi e della gruppalità in differenti contesti dove tradizionalmente il “fare gruppi” era diventato una consuetudine: ambito clinico, terapeutico, istituzionale. Ci si interroga se la difficoltà riscontrata dai professionisti della salute mentale e del benessere psicosociale, esperti in gruppi, di avviare e mantenere setting collettivi, sia una delle numerose manifestazioni della deriva neoliberista che investe le vite di tutti, le relazioni, la concezione del mondo e della vita.The authors deal with the question of the "disappearance" of groups and of groupality in the contemporary world in different contexts where traditionally "making groups" had become a habit: clinical, therapeutic, institutional sphere. The question arises whether the difficulty encountered by professionals in mental health and psychosocial well-being, experts in groups, to initiate and maintain collective settings, is one of the numerous manifestations of the neoliberal drift that affects everyone's lives, relationships, the conception of the world and life

La trasmissione tra le generazioni

La trasmissione psichica e culturale tra generazioni è un processo essenziale che presenta sfide specifiche nel tempo attuale. Mentre la trasmissione tradizionale avveniva attraverso la parola e la presenza fisica, in spazi e tempi definiti, oggi essa si realizza attraverso sistemi digitali che annullano lo spazio pubblico e offrono un'infinita fonte virtuale di informazioni, ma priva di connessione generazionale. La memoria e il calcolo vengono sostituiti dall'informazione immediatamente disponibile, facendo sì che la formazione si riduca a un accumulo di notizie e tecniche, privo di approfondimento e personalizzazione. Questo processo sembra interrompere la trasmissione autentica, sostituendola con un enorme manuale d'uso virtuale. Le istituzioni accademiche tendono a privilegiare saperi oggettivi e impersonali, escludendo l'aspetto relazionale delle esperienze. La razionalità attuale si concentra sull'efficienza immediata a scapito dell'autonomia e dell'identità dell'operatore. La trasmissione richiede cura e fiducia, e, per essere efficace e autentica, richiede tempo, fiducia e relazioni profonde.The psychic and cultural transmission between generations is an essential process that faces specific challenges in the present time. While traditional transmission occurred through spoken word and physical presence, in defined spaces and times, today it takes place through digital systems that eliminate public space and offer an infinite virtual source of information, but lack generational connection. Memory and calculation are replaced by immediately available information, reducing education to a mere accumulation of facts and techniques, devoid of depth and personalization. This process seems to interrupt authentic transmission, replacing it with a massive virtual user manual. Academic institutions tend to prioritize objective and impersonal knowledge, excluding the relational aspect of experiences. Current rationality focuses on immediate efficiency at the expense of the autonomy and identity of the operator. Transmission requires care and trust, and to be effective and authentic, it necessitates time, trust, and deep relationships

Considerazioni sul caso clinico di G. D'Onofrio: Campo gruppale virtuale, la storia di una migrazione riconnessa nel tessuto onirico.

Viene discusso un caso clinico relativo a pazienti migrante in cui la funzione riparatrice del sogno serve anche come luogo di elaborazione e di riconnessione con il mondo culturale originario. La prospettiva di annientamento relativa alla perdita dei riferimenti culturali che non comporta la possibilità di un nuovo orizzonte rischia la psicotizzazione del paziente. Solo il ricollegarsi simbolico ai referenti originari culturali rende il paziente operatore e ricostruttore della propria identità

Malinteso e conflitto: il sottile confine tra negoziare e agire

"Misunderstanding" originates from the comunicative difficulties that arise between two people or groups due to linguistic or cultural issues, and stems from the difficulties produced by the difference between the subjects involved in a relationship. A peculiarity of misunderstanding is the anticipation of a possible resolution. This allows us to keep the relationship in a suspended state, preserving its progression while waiting for clarification or separation. By contrast, in a conflictual situation, both partners are engaged in a long-lasting relationship, which transforms the contenders' nature itself. Indeed, both the parties involved in a conflict shape themselves in a reciprocal relationship, sometimes as strong and resolute as it is unbearable. Such a situation is well illustrated by the so-called "feuds". This paper analyzes misunderstanding as a way to negotiate shared meanings while keeping our own vision and freedom: The two parties involved in a conflict find themselves in a relationship of mutual dependence that is hard to solve without a third party's mediation or authoritative decision. A section of this paper expounds the subject of "acknowledgement", seen as possible key to resolving a conflict and also to reducing both the extent and the probability of further misunderstandings

Malinteso

Abstract Il malinteso, nella sua impalpabilità, si propone come vero protagonista del mondo contemporaneo. Esso si mostra nei suoi effetti e si nasconde nelle sue origini. Il malinteso appartiene al momento presente ma si rivela sempre in un secondo momento, quando degenera nel conflitto e nell’interruzione delle interazioni. L’ipotesi del mio lavoro è che la diffusione del malinteso, nella realtà quotidiana delle relazioni umane e sociali, debba ricercarsi nell’assenza di un quadro certo e definito, in una realtà sociale che è priva di riferimenti stabili. Il dispositivo clinico, che nel lavoro di cura è la base di ogni intervento, nell’incertezza del quadro generale, nella trasmutazione dei valori di nietzeschiana memoria, abbisogna di costanti ridefinizioni e in assenza di ciò moltiplica i malintesi soprattutto quando si confrontano, nella relazione clinica, persone che riportano mondi culturali diversi
