Enumerables : a pragmatic study of unspecific plural nouns in written text

Num primeiro momento, esses substantivos são analisados de acordo com o momento de Categorias de Predição de Trados e, a partir daí o conceito original é ampliado. Num segundo momento são oferecidas uma análise e uma taxonomia dos dois tipos de Enumerables: System e Technical. Num terceiro momento os Enumerables são analisados de acordo com o modelo de organização do discurso de Wintter e Hoey, onde esses substantivos plurais se apresentam como organizadores de discurso. Finalmente, conclusões e sugestões para pesquisas futuras são apresentadas

Application of bioactive coatings based on chitosan and propolis for Pinus spp. protection against Fusarium circinatum

Pine pitch canker (PPC) is a major threat to pine forests worldwide because of the extensive tree deaths, reduced growth, and degradation of timber quality caused by it. Furthermore, the aggressive fungus responsible for this disease (Fusarium circinatum) can also infect pine seeds, causing damping-off in young seedlings. This study proposes an approach based on coating treatments consisting of natural products to ensure seed protection. Seeds from two pine species (the most sensitive to this disease, Pinus radiata D. Don, and a more resistant one, Pinus sylvestris L.) were coated with single and binary mixtures of low and medium molecular weight chitosan and/or ethanolic-propolis extract. The germination rate, pre- and post-emergence mortality, total phenolic content, and radical scavenging activity were assessed. All treatments, and especially the one based on chitosan oligomers, had a beneficial impact on P. sylvestris seedlings, significantly enhancing survival rates and displaying a positive influence on the total phenolic content and on the seedlings’ radical scavenging activity. Conversely, non-significant negative effects on germination percentages were observed in the case of P. radiata seeds. Towards sustainability: Allowance rights for using water resources in Amazonas State of Brazil

The water use permit is one of the instruments of the National and State Policy of Water Resources in Brazil through which the government authorizes the user to withdraw water or to make hydraulic interferences in water bodies necessary for their activities, guaranteeing the right of access to these resources. In the state of Amazonas, the Water Resources Policy (PERH) was reformulated by Law 3,167 of 2007, which latter was regulated by decree 28,678 of 2009, and use permit started to being issued in 2017. The objective of this paper is to contextualize the current situation of this instrument, based on bibliographical review and on the observed practical consequences. The State Water Resources Policy (PERH) exists since 2001, but the implementation of the water use permits issuance in the state has not progressed significantly over the last 15 years. Important advances occurred only in 2016 and 2017, with the establishment of technical parameters for water use. Permits slowly started to be issued in 2017, but still disconnected from the other instruments of the Brazilian Water Resources Policy. © 2018 by author(s) and VsI Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Center
