On the possibility to obtain manganese concentrate from manganese-containing tailings

    Get PDF
The paper presents the results of studies intended to separate minerals by density in a heavy liquid. Chemical analysis found that the manganese content amounts to 16,32 % in the studied sludge sample. Manganese sludge was separated by specific gravity in M-45 heavy liquid (the aqueous solution of a complex salt of barium iodides and cadmium with a density of 3 000 kg/m3). The tailings sample was fractioned by specific gravity in the material with a particle size of -2,5 + 1,0 mm; -1,0 + 0,5 mm and -0,5 + 0 mm. The manganese content in the heavy fraction of 3 000 kg/m3 was 32,5 %. The manganese content in the light fraction varied from 1,7 to 2,5 %. Light fractions were represented by aggregates of quartz and calcite with manganese minerals. According to X-ray phase analysis, heavy fractions were mainly represented by minerals braunite, bixbyite, barite and hematite

The relativistic impulse approximation for the exclusive electrodisintegration of the deuteron

    Get PDF
The electrodisintegration of the deuteron in the frame of the Bethe-Salpeter approach with a separable kernel of the nucleon-nucleon interaction is considered. This conception keeps the covariance of a description of the process. A comparison of relativistic and nonrelativistic calculations is presented. The factorization of the cross section of the reaction in the impulse approximation is obtained by analytical calculations. It is shown that the photon-neutron interaction plays an important role.Comment: 31 pages, 14 figures, 1 tabl

Specific features of state regulation of operations with cryptocurrencies in the conditions of digitalization

    Get PDF
Purpose: The article investigates specific features of state regulation of operations with cryptocurrencies in the conditions of the world economy digitalization. Design/Methodology/Approach: In order to form the state regulation of operations with cryptocurrencies, which create additional risks for the national currencies functioning in international financial and credit relations, it is necessary to consider this phenomenon first, from the position of a complete ban on the use of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, second, in combination of a ban on the use of cryptocurrencies as means of payment, third, from the possibility of expanding the range of cryptocurrency users by including legal entities into it and fourth, the full legalization of the cryptocurrency. Findings: The authors developed and proposed a set of measures aimed at the formation of common standards and norms of state regulation of operations with cryptocurrencies in international financial relations. Practical Implications: The results of the study can be applied in the development of legal regulation of virtual currencies not only at the national level, but also at the international level. Originality/Value: The main contribution of the study is to identify possible risks in the sphere of state regulation of cryptocurrencies based on the experience of some countries: from formal permission (including recommendations on possible risks) or the application of general principles of regulation in the field of payments to the complete ban of such activities.peer-reviewe

Improving the efficiency of university management : teacher’s performance monitoring as a tool to promote the quality of education

    Get PDF
This study aims to examine the essence of education monitoring, its place in the higher education management system and the practical implementation of teacher’s performance monitoring as a tool to promote the quality of education. The article considers theoretical aspects of monitoring as a tool to promote the quality of education, assesses the performance of the university departments, research and teaching staff and discusses the results and suggestions on how to improve monitoring activities in higher education. Based on their research and findings, the authors claimed that the monitoring of the performance of the university research and teaching staff on the base of an indicator system in terms of education, methodology, research, organization and counselling services would lead to valid conclusions as to the effective performance of both individual researchers and teachers and university departments, in general.peer-reviewe

A study on the beneficiation ability of manganese-containing technogenic raw materials

    Get PDF
The work presents the results of studies on obtaining ferromanganese concentrate from technogenic manganesecontaining raw materials with grain size less than 10 mm. It is found that the main valuable minerals of the feedstock are psilomelane, pyrolusite, bementite; among the rock-forming minerals, quartz and kaolinite, often saturated with finely dispersed iron compounds, prevail. Sieving and concentration of raw materials of - 10 + 5 mm and - 2 + 0,2 mm in two-chamber jigging machine with separation of two concentrates and tailingпs allowed to obtain a joint manganese concentrate with 35,1 % manganese content, 11,5 % iron content with 78,23 % manganese recovery. The obtained manganese concentrate is suitable for further metallurgical processing
