MOLECULAR DOCKING STUDIES ON THIADIAZOLE DERIVATIVES AS PROTEIN KINASE INHIBITORS
Objective: In the present study, a novel series of 1, 3, 4-thiadiazole derivatives were docked against the mycobacterium tuberculosis protein kinase G. 1, 3, 4–thiadiazole derivatives with a modified primary amine group at 5th position were used for docking studies.
Methods: The three-dimensional structure of the protein was obtained from PDB, and its active sites were predicted. The structures of all the compounds were drawn using chemdraw software version 8.0. The docking studies were done by using schrödinger software against the enzyme protein kinase G. Totally eighteen compounds was synthesized based on glide score
Results: In this Docking study the thiadiazole analogues were showing good binding energy. The amino acids residues GLU588, SER412, GLY410 and GLU 628 in the kinase domain active site form hydrogen bonds with the ligand.
Conclusion: The compounds D34, D16, D7, D25, D15, and D27 showed better interaction with protein kinase G (pknG) more than the other drug molecule
Measurements of atmospheric turbulence with the dual-beamwidth method using the MST radar at Gadanki, India
A brief experiment was conducted during 24-29 April and 9-10 May 2002, using the MST radar at Gadanki, India, to test the dual-beamwidth method of estimating the turbulence kinetic energy (TKE). Because the beamwidth can be modified on only one polarization at a time at Gadanki, an elliptical beam was used with a modified dual-beamwidth analysis. Estimates of the TKE from the dual-beamwidth method and the traditional method are very similar in regions of light winds (&lt;~10ms<sup>-1</sup>). In regions of stronger wind (&gt;~15ms<sup>-1</sup>) the traditional method often gives TKE&lt;0 because the beam-broadening correction is greater than the observed spectral width. It is suggested that some of the problems with the traditional method are due to the uncertainty in the effective width of the radar beam. In all regions the modified dual-beamwidth method gives TKE&gt;0 on the beam parallel to the prevailing wind; on this beam the estimates depend only on the ratio of the beamwidths, which is presumably well-known, and the observed spectral widths. The values of TKE from the dual-beamwidth method are approximately constant with height at 0.2m<sup>2</sup>s<sup>-2</sup> from about 5 to 7.5km during the afternoon during both April and May (all April observations were made between 9:00 and 17:00 local time), and then decrease rapidly to about 0.02m<sup>2</sup>s<sup>-2</sup> by about 9km. The data from May extend over one full diurnal period and the diurnal range of TKE during this period is found to be about 5dB below about 12km and from about 15 to 19km, near the tropopause, with maximum values during local afternoon
Impact of different levels of iron on mitigation of iron chlorosis in varagu CO 3 (Paspalum scrobiculatum. L)
Iron (Fe) deficiency is a major nutritional disorder in crops growing in calcareous soils. Varagu crop are more susceptible to (Fe) deficiency in the early stage of growth and the deficiency is exhibited as chlorosis developing interveinally in the new leaves. The objective of the present study was to see the impact of different levels iron on mitigation of chlorosis in varagu, Paspalum scrobiculatum under calcareous soil and to investigate the influence of soil and foliar application of iron on growth, physiological and improvement of yield potential of varagu under calcareous soil condition. The varagu variety CO3 taken for this study The treatments comprised T1, NPK (44:22:0 kg ha-1) + 12.5 t FYM/ha,T2, NPK (44:22:30 kg ha-1) +12.5 t FYM/ha, T3, T1 + Soil application of FeSO4   (25 kg ha-1), T4, T2 + Soil application of FeSO4 (25 kg ha-1), T5, T1 + Soil application of FeSO4 (50 kg ha-1), T6, T2 + Soil application of FeSO4 (50 kg ha-1), T7, T3 + Foliar spray of 0.5% FeSO4, T8, T4 + Foliar spray of 0.5% FeSO4, T9,T5 + Foliar spray of 0.5% FeSO4, T10, T6 + Foliar spray of 0.5% FeSO4. During experimentation, morphological characteristics, growth attributes, physiological and biochemical components and biomass traits determined the mitigation of iron chlorosis. The iron deficiency in varagu was effectively controlled by T10, soil treatment 50 kg ha-1 FeSO4 and foliar spray of 0.5% FeSO4 applied on the 30th and 50th days after sowing through maintaining highest growth parameter values, maximum catalase and peroxidase activity and maintaining more chlorophyll content
Chiral Solitons in a Current Coupled Schr\"odinger Equation With Self Interaction
Recently non-topological chiral soliton solutions were obtained in a
derivatively coupled non-linear Schr\"odinger model in 1+1 dimensions. We
extend the analysis to include a more general self-coupling potential (which
includes the previous cases) and find chiral soliton solutions. Interestingly
even the magnitude of the velocity is found to be fixed. Energy and U(1) charge

The Central Charge of the Warped AdS^3 Black Hole
The AdS/CFT conjecture offers the possibility of a quantum description for a
black hole in terms of a CFT. This has led to the study of general AdS^3 type
black holes with a view to constructing an explicit toy quantum black hole
model. Such a CFT description would be characterized by its central charge and
the dimensions of its primary fields. Recently the expression for the central
charges (C_L, C_R) of the CFT dual to the warped AdS^3 have been determined
using asymptotic symmetry arguments. The central charges depend, as expected,
on the warping factor. We show that topological arguments, used by Witten to
constrain central charges for the BTZ black hole, can be generalized to deal
with the warped AdS^3 case. Topology constrains the warped factor to be
rational numbers while quasinormal modes are conjectured to give the dimensions
of primary fields. We find that in the limit when warping is large or when it
takes special rational values the system tends to Witten's conjectured unique
CFT's with central charges that are multiples of 24.Comment: 6 pages, Latex fil
Prophylactic combined supplementation of choline and docosahexaenoic acid attenuates vascular cognitive impairment and preserves hippocampal cell viability in rat model of chronic cerebral hypoperfusion ischemic brain injury
Background: Stroke is the second cause of mortality in the world and third leading cause of disability in surviving victims. Cerebral ischemic cascade involves multiple pathways that can result in motor and cognitive deficits. The current treatment strategy focuses mainly on motor recovery, and the management of post-stroke cognitive impairment is largely neglected. Similarly, very few studies have explored the prophylactic combined synergetic treatment strategies that have the potential to target multiple pathways in the ischemic cascade to alleviate vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) in the event of an ischemic stroke. Choline and docosahexaenoic acid (Cho-DHA) are both essential neuronal membrane phospholipid precursors, known to be important in enhancing cognitive functions. The objective of present study was to explore the prophylactic efficacy of combined Cho-DHA supplementation (Cho-DHA suppl.) in attenuating VCI in a rodent model of ischemic brain injury.Methods: An 10-months-old male Wistar rats were subdivided into four groups (n=8/group); normal control (NC), bilateral common carotid artery occlusion (BCCAO) induced ischemic brain injury group, sham BCCAO (S-BCCAO) group, and prophylactic combined Cho-DHA suppl. BCCAO group. Subsequently, all groups of rats were tested for cognition and neuro-morphological changes in the hippocampus.Results: BCCAO rats showed significant learning and memory deficits (p<0.05) and neuronal injury compared to S-BCCAO and NC rats. These cognitive deficits and neuronal injury were significantly (p<0.01) attenuated in Cho-DHA suppl. BCCAO rats.Conclusion: Prophylactic combined Cho-DHA suppl. may be envisaged as an effective preventive strategy to attenuate VCI and neuronal injury in high-risk individuals susceptible for a future event of an ischemic stroke
Interpolating Coherent States for Heisenberg-Weyl and Single-Photon SU(1,1) Algebras
New quantal states which interpolate between the coherent states of the
Heisenberg_Weyl and SU(1,1) algebras are introduced. The interpolating states
are obtained as the coherent states of a closed and symmetric algebra which
interpolates between the two algebras. The overcompleteness of the
interpolating coherent states is established. Differential operator
representations in suitable spaces of entire functions are given for the
generators of the algebra. A nonsymmetric set of operators to realize the
Heisenberg-Weyl algebra is provided and the relevant coherent states are

Geometric Finiteness, Holography and Quasinormal Modes for the Warped AdS_3 Black Hole
We show that there exists a precise kinematical notion of holography for the
Euclidean warped black hole. This follows from the fact that the
Euclidean warped black hole spacetime is a geometrically finite
hyperbolic manifold. For such manifolds a theorem of Sullivan provides a
one-to-one correspondence between the hyperbolic structure in the bulk and the
conformal structure of its boundary. Using this theorem we obtain the

Constraints on the quantum gravity scale from kappa - Minkowski spacetime
We compare two versions of deformed dispersion relations (energy vs momenta
and momenta vs energy) and the corresponding time delay up to the second order
accuracy in the quantum gravity scale (deformation parameter). A general
framework describing modified dispersion relations and time delay with respect
to different noncommutative kappa -Minkowski spacetime realizations is firstly
proposed here and it covers all the cases introduced in the literature. It is
shown that some of the realizations provide certain bounds on quadratic
corrections, i.e. on quantum gravity scale, but it is not excluded in our
framework that quantum gravity scale is the Planck scale. We also show how the
coefficients in the dispersion relations can be obtained through a

Schr\"{o}dinger cat state of trapped ions in harmonic and anharmonic oscillator traps
We examine the time evolution of a two level ion interacting with a light
field in harmonic oscillator trap and in a trap with anharmonicities. The
anharmonicities of the trap are quantified in terms of the deformation
parameter characterizing the q-analog of the harmonic oscillator trap.
Initially the ion is prepared in a Schr\"{o}dinger cat state. The entanglement
of the center of mass motional states and the internal degrees of freedom of
the ion results in characteristic collapse and revival pattern. We calculate
numerically the population inversion I(t), quasi-probabilities and
partial mutual quantum entropy S(P), for the system as a function of time.
Interestingly, small deformations of the trap enhance the contrast between
population inversion collapse and revival peaks as compared to the zero
deformation case. For \beta =3 and determines the average number
of trap quanta linked to center of mass motion) the best collapse and revival
sequence is obtained for \tau =0.0047 and \tau =0.004 respectively. For large
values of \tau decoherence sets in accompanied by loss of amplitude of
population inversion and for \tau \sim 0.1 the collapse and revival phenomenon
disappear. Each collapse or revival of population inversion is characterized by
a peak in S(P) versus t plot. During the transition from collapse to revival
and vice-versa we have minimum mutual entropy value that is S(P)=0. Successive
revival peaks show a lowering of the local maximum point indicating a
dissipative irreversible change in the ionic state. Improved definition of
collapse and revival pattern as the anharminicity of the trapping potential
