In this paper it will be described the design and manufacturing of microdevice to be used as platform for Carbon monoxide (CO) gas sensor based on indium tin oxide (ITO). The device has been designed on silicon substrate with an active area of 3x3 mm2 , and consisted of bonding pad, heater, electrode, and temperature sensor components. The minimum feature size used is 50 microns, as allowed by the capability of photolithographic process. The formation of microdevice structure has been done mainly using lift-off technique on platinum (Pt) layer, which was deposited by DC sputtering with aluminium (Al) as sacrificial layer. The overall chip dimension is not more than 5x5 mm2. The measurement conducted to study the resistance versus temperature characteristics has shown that the heater and temperature sensor elements have functioned as expected, in which their resistances change linearly with an increase in substrate temperature between 20 – 200 oC. The range of increase in resistance values for the heater is 500 – 1000 ohm, whereas for the temperature sensor is 100 – 300 ohm

Nasatech is a company that produces kitchen cabinets from granite materials. Nasatech has been almost ten years in the city of Malang, Indonesia. So far, Nasatech only serve consumers who live in Malang and surrounding areas. However, Nasatech has a commitment to be able to market its products abroad if there is a chance. The excellence of Nasatech is its unique product and Nasatech has already used to use internet marketing to market its products and conduct online transactions. Some research data show that furniture and kitchen countertops from granite materials are becoming a trend in the US so Nasatech is very suitable to market its products in the US. Nasatech needs to make some patent designs for its products with knock-down system so it is more easily shipped and marketed to the US through furniture importers in the US who can become a distributor. Internet marketing can be a good marketing strategy to enter the US market as online furniture purchase transactions increase significantly in the US. This is expected to be a good opportunity for Nasatech to enter the US market

Modeling of SOI-based MRR by Coupled Mode Theory using Lateral Coupling Configuration

    Get PDF
We present the modeling of a first order waveguide-coupled microring resonator (MRR) by coupled mode theory (CMT) using transfer matrix model. The design topology is based on the lateral coupling configuration and single mode propagation which is integrated on a Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) platform. Performance parameters including Free Spectral Range (FSR) and Quality Factor (Q-factor) are investigated. For verification, we compare these results with the results obtained from the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) commercially available software. We found that both results agree well with each other

PENGARUH KANDUNGAN Co TERHADAP SIFAT OPTIK FILM TIPIS TiO2-Co YANG DITUMBUHKAN DENGAN METODE MOCVD.

Design and optimization of coupled microring resonators (MRRs) in silicon-on-insulator

    Get PDF
The design of microring resonators (MRRs) for serial configuration, integrated in the lateral scheme was presented and simulated using 3D electromagnetic simulator based on finite integration technique. The device model is embedded on the high index contrast (HIC) structure of silicon-on-insulator with monomodal cavity for TE-mode polarizations. From the proposed model, we varied the MRRs order, waveguides separation distance and ring radius, in order to evaluate the influence of those parameters on the device performance in terms of loss, free spectral range (FSR) and quality factor (Q-factor). Upon varying the gap distances, it was found that the highest Q-factor value of the proposed design was 1275 obtained at gap separation of 150 nm for ring radius of 6 μm, while the largest FSR was 24 nm. The trade-offs between device compactness, optical bandwidth and Q-factor are also presented

Introduction: Digital 3-dimensional models are widely used for orthodontic diagnosis. The aim of this study was to assess the validity, reliability, and reproducibility of digital models obtained from the Lava Chairside Oral scanner (3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) and cone-beam computed tomography scans of alginate impressions for tooth-width measurements and the Bolton analysis. Methods: A digital model, an intraoral scan, and a plaster model were made for each of 22 subjects. Tooth-width measurements on the digital model and the intraoral scan were compared with those on the corresponding plaster models (gold standard). Intraclass correlation coefficients were calculated to determine the interexaminer reliability of the measurements of each method. The anterior and overall Bolton ratios were calculated for each participant and for each method. The paired t test was used to determine the validity. The scanning time for the intraoral scanner was registered and analyzed. Results: Tooth-width measurements of each tooth on the digital models and the intraoral scans did not differ significantly from those on the plaster models (P >0.05). The overall and anterior Bolton ratios from the 2 types of digital models differed significantly from the gold standard (P
