    Vibration analysis of layered composite beam with variable section in terms of delamination and orientation angle in analytical and numerical methods

    In this study, vibration analysis of layered composite beams with variable cross sections and delaminations was investigated analytically and numerically. In the analytical part, Bernoulli beam theory was used and the effect of shear force on the beam was neglected. The layered composite beam consists of eight layers and contains delaminations with various sizes. In the numerical part of the study, ansys program package was used for finite element analysis. Layered composite beams with the same geometry were created in the finite element model. In the numerical part, the contact element was also defined between the delaminated parts. Furthermore, it has been shown numerically and analytically that the slope angle of the beam influences the vibration of the layered composite beam. Moreover, as the delamination between the beams increases, the vibration of the beam is observed to decrease. The layered composite beam is shown in graphical form in which the vibration can be changed without changing the geometry of the beam, showing that the vibration can be changed by changing the fiber orientation angle. © 2018 Polish Academy of Sciences Institute of Physics.     Modeling two-dimensional erosion process over infiltrating surfaces

    The physics-based modeling of the rainfall-runoff induced erosion process is accomplished. The existing one-dimensional erosion process equations are extended to two dimensions and kinematic wave approximation is used. The model assumes that suspended sediment does not affect flow dynamics. The model considers the effect of flow depth plus loose soil depth on soil detachment. Sensitivity analysis results indicate that the effects of the soil erodibility coefficient (η) and exponent (k1) on sediment discharges are quite pronounced. On steep slopes, the effect of flow depth plus loose soil depth on sediment discharge is insignificant

    Investigation of the endoplasmic reticulum stress markers in placentas and fetus of diabetic pregnant mice

    Tez çalışmamda, diyabet durumunun fetal karaciğer ve plasentalarda ER stres belirteçleri açısından bir fark oluşturup oluşturmadığının tespit edilmesi amaçlandı. Bu amaç ile, dört gruptan oluşan bir deney dizaynı oluşturuldu. Bu gruplar; sıfır kontrol grubu, gebe kontrol grubu, diyabetik gebe grubu ve gebe sitrat grubudur. Belirteçlerin araştırılması için immünohisto kimyasal tekniklerin yanı sıra western blot tekniği de kullanılmıştır. Yapılan deneylerin sonuçlarına göre, diyabetik grubun fetal karaciğer dokularında, diğer gruplara kıyasla incelemiş olduğumuz Nrf2, GADD 153, BIP, Xbp1 ve Herpud antikorları açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmamıştır (p˃0.05). Plasenta dokularında; BIP, Xbp1 ve Herpud antikorları ile yapılan western blot sonuçlarına göre ise, diyabet grubundaki plasentaların bu belirteçler açısından diğer gruplara kıyasla azalma gösterdiğini saptadık.Gruplar arasında fetus ve plasenta ağırlıklarını kıyasladığımız zaman ise, diyabet grubundaki fetus ve plasentalarda diğer gruplara kıyasla istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir düşüş saptanmıştır (p˂0.05).In my thesis study, it was aimed to find out if diabetes cause differences in fetal liver and placenta about ER stress markers. For this purpose, experimental design is created which consist of four groups. These groups are; zero control group, pregnant control group, diabetic pregnant group and pregnant citrate group. As investigate the markers, both immunohistochemical techniques and western blot technique were used. According to the results of experimental studies, no statistically significant difference was found (p˃0.05) fort he markes that we use; Nrf2, GADD 153, BIP, Xbp1 and Herpud, in fetal liver tissue of the diabetic group compared to the other groups. As a result of western blot done with BIP, Xbp1 and Herpud antibodies in placenta, decreased expression of theese markers was seen in diabetic group compared to the other groups. When we compared the weight of the fetus and placenta between groups, we have found statistically significant decreased weight in diabetic group compared to the other groups (p˂0.05)

    Bu çalışmada, 211 numaralı Manisa şer‛iyye sicilinin 78-171. sayfaları arasında yer alan vakıf muhasebe kayıtları ele alınmıştır. Bu muhasebe kayıtları 1778-1795 yılları arasını kapsamaktadır. Muhasebesi görülen vakıf sayısı yıllara göre 66-88 arasında değişmektedir. Muhasebelerde detaylı gelir ve giderler gösterilmemiştir. Vakıfların sermayesi özet şeklinde verilmiştir. Vakıfların %90’ı para vakfı olarak düzenlenmiştir. Bundan başka muhasebelerde vakfın çeşidi, nerede bulunduğu, muhasebesinin ne zaman görüldüğü ve mütevellisinin kim olduğu belirtilmiştir. Defterde, cami ve mescid gibi ibadethanelere, çeşme, kuyu ve sebilhâne gibi su yapılarına, mektep ve muallimhane gibi eğitim kurumlarına ait vakıflar vardır. Diğer yandan aşure, şerbet, kar, helva, Yasin-i Şerîf okunması için bazı özel vakıflar kurulmuştur

    The Effect of Body Mass Index on Physical Activity Level in Children between 10-11 Years of Age

    The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of body mass index on physical activity (PA) level in children between 10-11 years of age. This research is an experimental study. While the universe of the research is composed of children studying in primary schools in Ankara province in 2017-2018 education and academic year, the sample is composed of students studying and teaching in Gazi Primary School in Yenimahalle district. The study included 271 students between the ages of 10 and 11 who voluntarily participated. The necessary permissions were obtained from school principals and student parents before the investigation. This research were taken weight (kg), height (m), PA level (pedometer) and BMI (kg/height2) measurements. SPSS 23 package program was used in the analysis of the obtained data. The mean age of children was 10,57±0,49, mean height was 1,42±8,45 and body weight was 38,33±10,91. BMI was 17.64±3.07 in 10 age group and 19.43±3.94 in 11 age group. The level of PA was determined as 12288±1687 for 10 years and 11328±1721 for 11 years. There was a significant difference between the two groups (p<0.001). There was found to be negatively correlation with PA (r=-0,269) p<0.001, whereas a significant correlation was found between BMI level (r=0,240) p<0,001. A significant correlation was found between BMI and PA level (r-0.817) p<0.001. As a result, it can be said that the body mass indexes of children between 10-11 years of age are in good level and their PA levels are generally active
