SGSDesigner, the ODESGS Environment User Interface
In this demo, we will show SGSDesigner, the ODESGS
Environment user interface. ODESGS Environment (the realization of the ODESGS Framework [1]) is an environment for
supporting both a) the annotation of pre-existing Grid Services(GSs) and b) the design of new complex Semantic Grid Services(SGSs) in a (semi) automatic way. In the demo we will focus in the annotation of a WSRF GS, using the annotation process proposed by the ODESGS Framework
Oyster – Sharing and Re-using Ontologies in a Peer-to-Peer Community
In this paper, we present Oyster, a Peer-to-Peer system for
exchanging ontology metadata among communities in the
Semantic Web. Oyster exploits semantic web techniques in data
representation, query formulation and query result presentation to provide an online solution for sharing ontologies, thus assisting researchers in re-using existing ontologies
Towards an Ontology Metadata Standard
In this poster, we present (i) a proposal for a metadata standard, known as Ontology Metadata Vocabulary (OMV) which is based on discussions in the EU IST thematic network of excellence Knowledge Web1 and (ii) two complementary reference
implementations which show the benefit of such a standard in
decentralized and centralized scenarios, i.e. the Oyster P2P
system and the Onthology metadata portal
SWSDesigner: The Graphical Interface of ODESWS
ODESWS is a development environment to design Semantic Web
Services (SWS) at the knowledge level. ODESWS describe the service following a problem-solving approach in which the SWS are modelled using tasks, to represent the SWS functional features, and methods, to describe the SWS internal structure. In this paper, we describe the ODESWS graphical interface (called SWSDesinger). This interface enables users to design SWS independently of the semantic markup language in which the service will be implemented, and once the design has been export the service to an SWS implementation languag
ODESWS, A Semantic Web Service Development
ODE SWS is a development environment to design Semantic
Web Services (SWS) at the knowledge level. ODE SWS describe
the service following a problem-solving approach in which the
SWS are modeled using tasks, to represent the SWS functional
features, and methods, to describe the SWS internal structure. In this paper, we describe the ODE SWS architecture and the capabilities of its graphical interface, which enables users to design SWS independently of the semantic markup language used to represent them
A Framework for Design and Composition of Semantic Web Services
Semantic Web Services (SWS) are Web Services (WS)
whose description is semantically enhanced with markup
languages (e.g., OWL-S). This semantic description will enable external agents and programs to discover, compose and
invoke SWSs. However, as a previous step to the specification of SWSs in a language, it must be designed at a conceptual level to guarantee its correctness and avoid
inconsistencies among its internal components. In this
paper, we present a framework for design and (semi)
automatic composition of SWSs at a language-independent
and knowledge level. This framework is based on a stack of
ontologies that (1) describe the different parts of a SWS;
and (2) contain a set of axioms that are really design rules to be verified by the ontology instances. Based on these ontologies, design and composition of SWSs can be viewed as the correct instantiation of the ontologies themselves. Once these instances have been created they will be exported to SWS languages such as OWL-S
Knowledge web: realising the semantic web... all the way to knowledge-enhanced multimedia documents
The semantic web and semantic web services are major efforts in order to spread and to integrate knowledge technology to the whole web. The Knowledge Web network of excellence aims at supporting their developments at the best and largest European level and supporting industry in adopting them. It especially investigates the solution of scalability, heterogeneity and dynamics obstacles to the full development of the semantic web. We explain how Knowledge Web results should benefit knowledge-enhanced multimedia applications
Ética polĂtica iusnaturalista
lhe Natural Law political ethic has at times been considered as something
vague and ill-defined; in this article the author outlines a way of analyzing the
presentday political and ideological reality from the view-point of Natural Law.
lo this end he studies the relations that can arise between permissiveness in
general and permissiveness in the juridical context, and then considers the implications
of these relations in the Law-Morality binomial, together with the different
solutions put forward in the course of history by Relativism, Pragmatism, Liberalism,
Marxism and by the Natural Law; finally he makes a special analysis of the criticisms
that have been made of the principIes of the Natural Law
Las contradicciones de la libertad de enseñanza
This article begins with a brief terminological clarification regarding the meaning
ofthe term freedom of education and then proceeds to analyze the context of politica1
philosophy, that isthe re1ations that exist between Authority and the common
citizen. It follows from this anaIysis that freedomof education is a specia1 guarantee
that ensures the survival of freedom in general.
Mterwards the author proceeds to study the different approathes which severa!
Marxist groups have followed with regard to the question of. education jn Spain,
and to carry out a particular anaIysis of the document An . Alternative lor Education.
The author's critique of this document is accompanied by that critique which comes
from the radical Marxist wing.
The main Marxist attitudes with regard. to this topic can be placed within the framework
of a global strategy of Gramscian origin which constitutes an attempt to
conquer politica1 power by mesns of a war of positions within the boundaries of the
mstitutions which make up the civil society. Inthis sense, the school is a particularly
favorable meeting-ground.
The critique of this strategy gives rise to a new meaning of social freedom and
of the defense of a Society which is at least as strong as the State. The author hap~
tobe in favor of the multiplication of social institutions and of the benefits that derive
from diversity, and sees this as asure guarantee of freedom for all citizens within
society
