Relational Graph Models at Work
We study the relational graph models that constitute a natural subclass of
relational models of lambda-calculus. We prove that among the lambda-theories
induced by such models there exists a minimal one, and that the corresponding
relational graph model is very natural and easy to construct. We then study
relational graph models that are fully abstract, in the sense that they capture
some observational equivalence between lambda-terms. We focus on the two main
observational equivalences in the lambda-calculus, the theory H+ generated by
taking as observables the beta-normal forms, and H* generated by considering as
observables the head normal forms. On the one hand we introduce a notion of
lambda-K\"onig model and prove that a relational graph model is fully abstract
for H+ if and only if it is extensional and lambda-K\"onig. On the other hand
we show that the dual notion of hyperimmune model, together with
extensionality, captures the full abstraction for H*
Semi-blind Bayesian inference of CMB map and power spectrum
We present a new blind formulation of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB)
inference problem. The approach relies on a phenomenological model of the
multi-frequency microwave sky without the need for physical models of the
individual components. For all-sky and high resolution data, it unifies parts
of the analysis that have previously been treated separately, such as component
separation and power spectrum inference. We describe an efficient sampling
scheme that fully explores the component separation uncertainties on the
inferred CMB products such as maps and/or power spectra. External information
about individual components can be incorporated as a prior giving a flexible
way to progressively and continuously introduce physical component separation
from a maximally blind approach. We connect our Bayesian formalism to existing
approaches such as Commander, SMICA and ILC, and discuss possible future
extensions.Comment: 11 pages, 9 figure
On the characterization of models of H*: The semantical aspect
We give a characterization, with respect to a large class of models of
untyped lambda-calculus, of those models that are fully abstract for
head-normalization, i.e., whose equational theory is H* (observations for head
normalization). An extensional K-model is fully abstract if and only if it
is hyperimmune, {\em i.e.}, not well founded chains of elements of D cannot be
captured by any recursive function.
This article, together with its companion paper, form the long version of
[Bre14]. It is a standalone paper that presents a purely semantical proof of
the result as opposed to its companion paper that presents an independent and
purely syntactical proof of the same result
This TFM aims to highlight the work of almost five months as a cost engineer in a company specialized in stone works for historical monuments. During this period, I had the opportunity to work on real projects, attend negotiation meetings and site visits. It was also the occasion to work for the rehabilitation and restoration of historical monuments, both in terms of vocabulary and intervention methods.
It was important to start the report with a state of the art through personal research on historical restoration: present the specific vocabulary to work on these structures attached to our heritage.
The second chapter will present the objective of the TFM with the development of a computer tool who will respond to the problem. First, we will see the resonances that will have allowed us to advance the computer tool chosen to focus on its development. The first objective of the software tool created is to optimize the price studies that are currently carried out within the company. In addition, we will see that this tool will try to respond at the same time to the exposed problem and at the same time with other problems and with real needs of management control in a construction site
Proudly Agripreneurs! Learning from 24 young African business leaders
This booklet highlights key elements of the publication Ils l’ont fait ! published by CTA in collaboration with MediaProd from Burkina Faso, which outlines the achievements of 24 entrepreneurs that have been featured by Agribusiness TV. CTA wants to reveal the impacts these agripreneurs have had, and encourage other young people to take inspiration, so they too can better invest their efforts in agriculture. The booklet introduces the 24 young entrepreneurs and explains how they are addressing the key youth agripreneurship challenges they are facing
