    The analysis and environmental protection measures in the municipality of LaktaŔi as a basis for sustainable development

    The Municipality of LaktaŔi belongs to a group of developed municipalities of the Republic of Srpska. Its development, in addition to the favorable traffic-geographic position and large natural resources, is also determined by noticeable anthropogenic activities that often lead to pollution of the environment. The analysis and assessment of the existing state of environment in the LaktaŔi municipality represents the basis for its protection and improvement of quality as well as for planning the development of future activities in accordance with sustainable development. Different sources of pollution of the environment are recognized in this area, some of which have significant impacts on the immediate and wider environment. The state of the environment in the work is presented by individual elements (air, water, soil), and the problem of noise and waste is also presented. The article also lists protected natural resources, protection measures are proposed and environmental quality classification was carried out in order to determine the priorities in stopping further degradation of the studied area

    Geospatial evaluation of belgrade for the purposes of determination of suitable locations for the construction of PV plants

    The aim of this paper is to identify the most suitable locations for the construction of Solar Photovoltaic Plants (PVP) on the territory of the City of Belgrade (Republic of Serbia). The city is rich in natural resources and abundant in energy potential. The climatic and spatial characteristics favor the use of solar energy: the average annual solar radiation in Belgrade is 1446.8 kWh/m(2)/year, and the sunshine duration is around 2200 h/year. The analysis covered the area of 3240.7 km(2) (administrative area of Belgrade). Geospatial evaluation was based on three basic criteria: aspect, slope and land use. The Method of elimination in combination with modern methods in geospatial research (GIS) was applied. Based on the mentioned geospatial factors, thematic maps were made and later, their overlapping resulted in obtaining a synthesis Map of the suitability of the terrain for the construction of the PV plants. Of the total considered area, 13.68% were evaluated as suitable for the given purpose

    The impact of infrastructure planning in spatial plans on carrying capacity assessment in mountain tourist areas

    This paper analyses the impact of infrastructure planning on carrying capacity assessment in mountain tourist areas, aiming to define the procedure, as well as to present an algorithm that could enable the application of carrying capacity methods in the process of developing planning documents. This would, in addition to the common practice of the hitherto used research methods, pay appropriate attention to the impact of infrastructure systems. In this regard, the paper first presents the basic theoretical and methodological problems of carrying capacity assessment, and then it considers the basic characteristics of evaluating carrying capacity in mountain tourist areas. Following this is a review of the basic principles of infrastructure planning, which gives practical recommendations for the infrastructure planning process in mountain tourist areas, with a particular emphasis on the impact of infrastructure on carrying capacity assessment. The example of Tara National Park, a mountainous area in Serbia which served as a place for verification of this procedure, shows the need to review the current planning solutions defined for this protected area

    All the activities and development processes existing on the territory of the municipality of Subotica result in certain effects on the environment. Based on the analysis of the present environmental state, the authors identified certain influences on the quality of the surface and ground water.     In compatibility with actual recommendations and policy, which leads to improvement and preservation of integral environment and especially its natural values, it is necessary to implementation active and integral approach to all variety of planning documents. For the needs of the preparation of the Preliminary Design of the traffic artery the inner ring road (IRR) in Belgrade the issue of the protection of the environment has been analyzed within the framework of the special study. In order to visualize the impact of "the IRR" to its surroundings, the solutions of the traffic artery were analyzed from the aspect of the protection of the environment in the sense of definition of harmful impacts and proposals of measures for their prevention or removal. The basic starting point was to get an answer whether Belgrade, from ecological aspect, can withstand the new traffic artery. In this paper will show specified in work in the environmental impact study for City ring road.U skladu sa aktuelnim smernicama i politikom koja vodi ka unapređenju i očuvanju životne sredine u celini, i posebno njenim prirodnim vrednostima neophodan je aktivan i integralan pristup implementirati u sva planska dokumenta. Za potrebe izrade Generalnog projekta saobraćajnice unutraÅ”nji magistralni poluprsten (UMP) u Beogradu problematika zaÅ”tite životne sredine analizirana je u sklopu posebne studije. U cilju sagledavanja uticaja UMP-a na okolinu, reÅ”enja saobraćajnice analizirana su sa aspekta zaÅ”tite životne sredine u smislu definisanja Å”tetnih posledica i predlaganja mera za sprečavanje i otklanjanje istih. Osnovno pitanje je da se dobije odgovor da li Beograd, posmatrajući sa ekoloÅ”kog aspekta, može da "podnese" novu saobraćajnicu.     Increase of population and activities in towns, among other things, leads to traffic and transport problems. Discrepancy between citizen's needs and existing economy and functionality of public traffic systems leads to traffic jam, but also to negative effects to environment. In that situation private vehicle is not the best solution, because it emits great number of pollutants in the environment. As a product of the technological improvement in rail industry there have been created light railway systems, as one of the most flexible form of public transport. This paper represents importance of light railway systems for urban development, its positive effects on environment, as plans and projects related with light railway systems introduction in Belgrade.Porast broja stanovnika i aktivnosti u gradovima, između ostalog, nosi sa sobom i niz problema u vezi sa prevozom putnika. Neusklađenost između potreba građana i postojeće operativnosti, ekonomičnosti i funkcionalnosti sistema gradskog prevoza dovodi do stvaranja gužvi u saobraćaju, ali i do negativnog dejstva na životnu sredinu. U takvoj situaciji privatno vozilo (automobil) nije najbolje reÅ”enje, s obzirom na to da emituje veliki broj zagađivača u spoljaÅ”nju sredinu. Kao plod tehnoloÅ”kog napretka železničke industrije, razvili su se laki Å”inski sistemi (laki metro), kao jedan od najfleksibilnijih oblika javnog prevoza. U radu će biti prikazan značaj uvođenja lakog metroa za urbani razvoj gradova, njegova pozitivna dejstva na životnu sredinu, kao i planska i projektantska dokumentacija koja se odnosi na uvođenje ove vrste transporta u gradsko tkivo Beograda

    An evaluation of summer discomfort in Nis (Serbia) using humidex

    The bioclimatic analysis of the central area of the city of Nis conducted in this paper is based on the use of the bioclimatic index Humidex, which represents subjective outdoor temperature that one feels in warm and humid environment. The purpose of this research is to observe the index change on a daily basis during the hottest part of the year (June, July, and August) over the period from 1998 to 2017. For the purposes of this analysis, hourly (7:00, 14:00), maximum and mean daily values of meteorological parameters (air temperature and relative humidity) were used, for the period of 20 years (1998-2017), which were measured at Nis weather station (43 degrees 19'N, 21 degrees 53'E, at an altitude of 202 meters). The findings indicate a gradual change in the bioclimatic characteristics of this area during this period, especially over the last decade. After 2007 there has been a decrease in the total number of the days described as "comfortable". However, there has been an increase in the index values in all the other heat stress categories characterized by a higher or lower degree of thermal discomfort. The years 1998, 2000, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2016, 2015, and 2017 stand out as adverse years

    Researches of existing environmental state represent the basis of the researches for the needs of planning new activities or increasing existing activities in space, but also the basis for populationā€™s health research and protection and maintains of areas with important natural and cultural-historic values. Investigations of air pollution and air quality fall into group of basic activities during describing and evaluating the total environmental state in certain area. This paper identifies the main sources of air pollution in the municipality of Loznica and, according to results of measured values of air pollutants (emission and imission values), concludes about air quality. It also proposes in the end mitigation measures for improvement of the air quality, and therefore of entire environment.Proučavanje postojećeg stanja životne sredine predstavlja osnov za proučavanje opterećenosti prostora za potrebe planiranja novih ili intenziviranje postojećih delatnosti, ali i osnov za proučavanje zdravlja stanovniÅ”tva, kao i zaÅ”titu i očuvanje područja sa značajnim prirodnim i kulturnoĀ­istorijskim vrednostima. Istraživanja problematike zagađivanja i kvaliteta vazduha spadaju u grupu osnovnih aktivnosti prilikom opisivanja i ocenjivanja stanja celokupne životne sredine na određenom području. U radu su identifikovani glavni izvori zagađenja vazduha na području opÅ”tine Loznica i na osnovu praćenja vrednosti emisije i imisije zagađujućih materija izvedeni zaključci i kvalitetu vazduha. Na kraju su predložene mere zaÅ”tite za poboljÅ”anje kvaliteta vazduha, a samim tim i kvaliteta celokupne životne sredine

    Sistem upravljanja otpadom kao najznačajniji ekoloŔki problem na prostoru grada Trebinja

    Upravljanje otpadom predstavlja jedan od najprisutnijih problema gotovo svih jedinica lokalne samouprave. Prema kategorizaciji životne sredine Prostornog plana Republike Srpske do 2025. godine, Grad Trebinje pripada područjima kvalitetne životne sredine, sa veoma malim uticajem na životnu sredinu gde je neophodno odgovarajućim merama umanjiti postojeći (lokalizovan). Upravo neuređena deponija Obodina, na koju se trenutno otpad odlaže bez kontrole, predstavlja najveći ekoloÅ”ki rizik ovog prostora. Pored deponije, nedovoljna infrastruktura za odvojeno sakupljanje reciklabila, kao i tretman i odlaganje specifičnih tipova otpada (industrijskog, građevinskog, posebnih tokova otpada) predstavljaju dodatne probleme za uspostavljanje uređenog i ekoloÅ”ki bezbednog tretmana otpada. Trenutno su u postupku usvajanja dva važna dokumenta za Grad Trebinje ā€“ Prostorni plan Grada Trebinja i Lokalni plan upravljanja otpadom 2022-2027. godine, koji donose predloge reÅ”enja ove problematike. U radu su prikazani rezultati analiza urađenih za potrebe izrade Prostornog plana Grada Trebinja od strane autora, kao i predložene mere koje bi u predstojem periodu reÅ”ile ovu problematiku
