The interaction of the Sulfonic Acid Resin, Nalcite HCR, with CuII halide solutions was studied in hope of obtaining dissociation constants for the complex ions CuX+. The fact that CuX+ is absorbed by the resin to an appreciable extent prevented the attainmnet of this goal. It was found in the case of CuF+ that the complex ion is absorbed even more strongly than Cu++. The presence of a Cu++-F- complex was indicated by spectrophotometric observations. The action of the carboxylic acid resin, IRC - 50 was studied in a column. It was found that the volume of the resin in the Cu++ salt form depended on the salt with which the resin was treated. In the case of solutions of Cu(OAc)2 it was found that Cu(OAc)+ was taken into the resin as well as Cu++. A titration curve for IRC - 50 with NaOH in solutions of ionic strength one is given.</p

    Project Management Maturity at CorpX

This paper is the application of a project management maturity model to CorpX, a local manufacturing company. The Project Management Maturity Model, by Kerzner, was chosen following a literature search. Research on CorpX was conducted by the use of a project maturity survey instrument from Kerzner’s text1 and interviews with key personnel. An analysis was made of the current level of maturity at CorpX, including examination of the efforts underway to increase PM maturity. Finally, recommendations are made outlining a path forward to a higher project management maturity level at CorpX
