Preschool Children and Behaviour Problems: A Prospective Study
Toddler/child behaviour problems have received relatively little previous attention. Prior studies have implicated a wide variety of factors in the aetiology of child behaviour problems but many of these factors are correlated and little is known about their independent contributions. Four broad categories of factors have been associated with child behaviour problems: (1) maternal social and economic characteristics; (2) maternal lifestyle; (3) maternal mental state/child-rearing practices; and (4) maternal and child physical health. The study took a sample of 5296 families from the Mater-University of Queensland Study of Pregnancy (MUSP) for whom 5-year prospective data are available. The major predictors of toddler behaviour problems were the mother's and child's health, and the mother's mental state. The mother's sociostructural characteristics and lifestyle made little or no additional contribution to the prediction models. It is, however, salutary to note that the majority of children who are classified as having high levels of troublesome behaviour do not fall into any of the risk categories. Large slow-roll corrections to the bispectrum of noncanonical inflation
Nongaussian statistics are a powerful discriminant between inflationary
models, particularly those with noncanonical kinetic terms. Focusing on
theories where the Lagrangian is an arbitrary Lorentz-invariant function of a
scalar field and its first derivatives, we review and extend the calculation of
the observable three-point function. We compute the "next-order" slow-roll
corrections to the bispectrum in closed form, and obtain quantitative estimates
of their magnitude in DBI and power-law k-inflation. In the DBI case our
results enable us to estimate corrections from the shape of the potential and
the warp factor: these can be of order several tens of percent. We track the
possible sources of large logarithms which can spoil ordinary perturbation
theory, and use them to obtain a general formula for the scale dependence of
the bispectrum. Our result satisfies the next-order version of Maldacena's
consistency condition and an equivalent consistency condition for the scale
dependence. We identify a new bispectrum shape available at next-order, which
is similar to a shape encountered in Galileon models. If fNL is sufficiently

Primordial fluctuations and non-Gaussianities from multifield DBI Galileon inflation
We study a cosmological scenario in which the DBI action governing the motion
of a D3-brane in a higher-dimensional spacetime is supplemented with an induced
gravity term. The latter reduces to the quartic Galileon Lagrangian when the
motion of the brane is non-relativistic and we show that it tends to violate
the null energy condition and to render cosmological fluctuations ghosts. There
nonetheless exists an interesting parameter space in which a stable phase of
quasi-exponential expansion can be achieved while the induced gravity leaves
non trivial imprints. We derive the exact second-order action governing the
dynamics of linear perturbations and we show that it can be simply understood
through a bimetric perspective. In the relativistic regime, we also calculate
the dominant contribution to the primordial bispectrum and demonstrate that
large non-Gaussianities of orthogonal shape can be generated, for the first
time in a concrete model. More generally, we find that the sign and the shape
of the bispectrum offer powerful diagnostics of the precise strength of the

Planck 2015 results. XXVII. The Second Planck Catalogue of Sunyaev-Zeldovich Sources
We present the all-sky Planck catalogue of Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) sources detected from the 29 month full-mission data. The catalogue (PSZ2) is the largest SZ-selected sample of galaxy clusters yet produced and the deepest all-sky catalogue of galaxy clusters. It contains 1653 detections, of which 1203 are confirmed clusters with identified counterparts in external data-sets, and is the first SZ-selected cluster survey containing > confirmed clusters. We present a detailed analysis of the survey selection function in terms of its completeness and statistical reliability, placing a lower limit of 83% on the purity. Using simulations, we find that the Y5R500 estimates are robust to pressure-profile variation and beam systematics, but accurate conversion to Y500 requires. the use of prior information on the cluster extent. We describe the multi-wavelength search for counterparts in ancillary data, which makes use of radio, microwave, infra-red, optical and X-ray data-sets, and which places emphasis on the robustness of the counterpart match. We discuss the physical properties of the new sample and identify a population of low-redshift X-ray under- luminous clusters revealed by SZ selection. These objects appear in optical and SZ surveys with consistent properties for their mass, but are almost absent from ROSAT X-ray selected samples
Feeding your Inflaton: Non-Gaussian Signatures of Interaction Structure
Primordial non-Gaussianity is generated by interactions of the inflaton
field, either self-interactions or couplings to other sectors. These two
physically different mechanisms can lead to nearly indistinguishable bispectra
of the equilateral type, but generate distinct patterns in the relative scaling
of higher order moments. We illustrate these classes in a simple effective
field theory framework where the flatness of the inflaton potential is
protected by a softly broken shift symmetry. Since the distinctive difference
between the two classes of interactions is the scaling of the moments, we
investigate the implications for observables that depend on the series of
moments. We obtain analytic expressions for the Minkowski functionals and the
halo mass function for an arbitrary structure of moments, and use these to
demonstrate how different classes of interactions might be distinguished
observationally. Our analysis casts light on a number of theoretical issues, in
particular we clarify the difference between the physics that keeps the
distribution of fluctuations nearly Gaussian, and the physics that keeps the

Examining parent and child agreement in the diagnosis of adolescent depression
Background: The diagnosis of depression in adolescents relies on identifying the presence of specific core and additional symptoms. Symptoms can be identified using structured or unstructured interviews and a range of questionnaire measures, which are completed by the young person and by a parent or carer. The aim of this research was to examine the inter- and intra-rater reliability of parent report and adolescent self-report of depression symptoms.
Method: In a sample of parent-child dyads, where young people aged 13-17 were referred to a mental health service for depression, we examined adolescentsâ (n = 46) and parentsâ (n = 46) independent responses to the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia in School-Age Children (Kaufman et al., 1997) and the Mood and Feelings Questionnaire (Costello & Angold, 1988).
Results: In the clinical interview, diagnostic criteria were more often met based on the adolescentâs report, and adolescents endorsed more symptoms of depression than their parents. Tentative results also suggest that parent-child agreement about specific symptoms was low. Comparing different measures of depression revealed that adolescent report on the questionnaire and interview was significantly correlated. However, there was no significant correlation between parent questionnaire and interview report.
Conclusion: These results suggest that relying solely on parents to identify depression in their children may result in young people with depression being missed and therefore untreated. Young people themselves should be encouraged and enabled to recognise the symptoms of depression, and have an established pathway to services that offer assessment and treatment
