Does the Ministerial Exception Protect a Minister\u27s Humiliating Comments?
The Seventh Circuit case of Demkovich v. St. Andrew the Apostle Parish applied the ministerial exception to bar a fired minister’s claim of a hostile work environment. In this article, Yiting Feng lists the reason why she disagrees with the majority opinion and leans towards the dissenting opinion.https://scholarship.law.slu.edu/lawjournalonline/1072/thumbnail.jp
THE CURRENT SITUATION OF FAMILY EDUCATION AND SCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN ADMISSION OF MIGRANT CHILDREN IN ZHEJIANG PROVINCE, CHINA: A SURVEY OF HANGZHOU, NINGBO AND JIAXING
Based on a survey of 322 parents of migrant children aged 3 to 10 in Hangzhou, Ningbo and Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China, the study found that nearly 70% of parents have been working in Zhejiang for 5-10 years, and 28% of them have worked for more than 10 years; 94% of them hold agricultural household registration and 6% of them hold non-agricultural household registration. Nearly 70% of these families have 2 to 3 children and 16% of them have 4 children. Those children who can get into the local public kindergartens and primary schools are all study in the local institutions and most school-aged children and the majority of pre-school children who do not meet the admission requirements for local public kindergartens and primary schools return to their hometown due to the pressure of tuition fees. At the same time, family education is not efficient, more than half of the children’s spare time is occupied by television and video games, the proportion of reading and sports activities is only a little more than 10%. Most parents have little time to read, do homework and physical exercise with their children, because of their heavy work or low level of education. This paper puts forward some relevant countermeasures and suggestions, hoping to change this situation. Article visualizations
Unraveling the Prognostic Significance of Rgs Gene Family in Gastric Cancer and the Potential Implication of Rgs4 in Regulating Tumor-infiltrating Fibroblast
Regulator of G-protein signaling (RGS) proteins are regulators of signal transduction mediated by G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Current studies have shown that some molecules in the RGS gene family are related to the occurrence, development and poor prognosis of malignant tumors. However, the RGS gene family has been rarely studied in gastric cancer. In this study, we explored the mutation and expression profile of RGS gene family in gastric cancer, and evaluated the prognostic value of RGS expression. Then we established a prognostic model based on RGS gene family and performed functional analysis. Further studies showed that RGS4, as an independent prognostic predictor, may play an important role in regulating fibroblasts in the immune microenvironment. In conclusion, this study explores the value of RGS gene family in gastric cancer, which is of great significance for predicting the prognosis and guiding the treatment of gastric cancer
Learning to Check Contract Inconsistencies
Contract consistency is important in ensuring the legal validity of the
contract. In many scenarios, a contract is written by filling the blanks in a
precompiled form. Due to carelessness, two blanks that should be filled with
the same (or different)content may be incorrectly filled with different (or
same) content. This will result in the issue of contract inconsistencies, which
may severely impair the legal validity of the contract. Traditional methods to
address this issue mainly rely on manual contract review, which is
labor-intensive and costly. In this work, we formulate a novel Contract
Inconsistency Checking (CIC) problem, and design an end-to-end framework,
called Pair-wise Blank Resolution (PBR), to solve the CIC problem with high
accuracy. Our PBR model contains a novel BlankCoder to address the challenge of
modeling meaningless blanks. BlankCoder adopts a two-stage attention mechanism
that adequately associates a meaningless blank with its relevant descriptions
while avoiding the incorporation of irrelevant context words. Experiments
conducted on real-world datasets show the promising performance of our method
with a balanced accuracy of 94.05% and an F1 score of 90.90% in the CIC
problem.Comment: Accepted by AAAI 202
The analysis of barriers to bim implementation for industrialized building construction: a China study
The emerging Building Information Modeling (BIM) can better promote the development of building industrialization, with data integration between information-rich building models and business processes. However, the practical implementation of BIM still faces barriers. Existing studies have discussed these barriers extensively, but the research on the barriers to the implementation of BIM amid building industrialization in China is inadequate. In this study, 23 barriers were identified through literature review. A questionnaire survey approach was used to collect data from various parties. Factor analysis methods were used to process and rank barrier factors for BIM applications in the context of industrialized building. Based on the analysis of each factor, analytic hierarchy process was adopted to identify the key barriers to the implementation of BIM for industrialized building construction. The study concluded that the main barriers for BIM implementation for industrialized building were capital-related factors and the lack of support from owners. This study proposes that in addition to governmental policy support for BIM and multi-stakeholder engagement, companies should also organize experts to effectively evaluate the risks of applying BIM. Overall, this study provides suggestions on construction organizational transformations in the roadmap of moving towards digital-driven building industrialization

An airflow-controlled solvent evaporation route to hollow microspheres and colloidosomes
National Natural Science Foundation of China [51173153, U1205113, 51103122]; Scientific and Technical Project of Fujian Province of China [2009J1009]A facile and large-scale method combining airflow-controlled solvent evaporation and amphiphilic copolymer self-assembly has been developed for the generation of hollow polymer microspheres, colloidosomes or even organic-inorganic hybrid colloidosomes. By replacing traditional agitation with the controllable airflow, this surfactant free route showed promising prospect in the fabrication of microcapsules with closed pore morphology. While the hollow polymer microspheres had an adjustable pore structure, the polymer colloidosomes and the hybrid colloidosomes possessed seamless surfaces, making them suitable for the stable encapsulation of small molecules. The hybrid colloidosomes constructed from polymer and Fe3O4 nanoparticles, and the ternary hybrid colloidosomes derived from polymer, polymer nanospheres and Fe3O4 nanoparticles displayed superparamagnetic properties and were excellent contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging. More importantly, both hybrid colloidosomes and ternary hybrid colloidosomes exhibited a significant evolution of pore morphology from a closed pore structure to an open pore structure in response to the temperature variation, which induced a controllable release of guest molecules

Correction: Symptom improvement in children with autism spectrum disorder following bumetanide administration is associated with decreased GABA/glutamate ratios.
An important detail was omitted in the Method of the original Article, I.E, The CARS and other evaluations were conducted 'blind' to condition (Bumetanide or no treatment) by experienced clinicians. This has now been updated in the HTML and PDF versions of this Article
