    PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN KOTORAN UNGGAS YANG BERBEDA PADA MEDIA BUDIDAYA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN CACING SUTRA (Tubifex sp.)

    This study aims to determine the effect of using different poultry manure as a medium for its culture. The method used in this study is an experimental design using a random design with four treatments and three replications. The factors tested were the addition of different poultry manure such as without the addition of poultry manure (P0), the addition of free-range chicken manure (P1), the addition of laying hen manure (P2), and the addition of quail manure (P3). The results of ANOVA analysis using SPSS 20.0 showed that the addition of different poultry manure had a significant effect on the absolute biomass of tubifex worms. Duncan test results showed that the absolute biomass of tubifex worms in the P3 treatment (addition of quail manure) was significantly different from the other treatments. In addition, the media added with quail manure produced the highest absolute biomass (243,33 gram) compared to other treatments

    Tujuan Pengabdian Berbasis Riset Universitas Teuku Umar ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian riset tim pengusul untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kecamatan Beutong, Nagan Raya. Penerapan hasil riset dilakukan pada program kegiatan Teknologi milenial (Minapadi legowo dengan ikan lokal) yang merupakan sistem menanam padi dengan budidaya ikan di dalam satu areal persawahan secara bersamaan. Teknologi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan hasil petani dengan produktifitas hasil padi yang tinggi dan meningkatkan produksi ikan lokal. Kegiatan dilakukan selama 5 bulan bertempat di Kecamatan Beutong Nagan Raya. Hasil yang diamati meliputi produksi padi dan produksi ikan pada sistem minapadi. Produksi padi tanam legowo 2 : 1 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter hasil produksi padi (ton ha‾¹) yaitu (3.04 ton ha‾¹). Sedangkan bobot ikan/petak sebesar (242.25 g) dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan /petak yaitu (65.27 %)

    Tujuan Pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian riset tim pengusul untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan, Aceh Barat. Penerapan hasil riset dilakukan pada program kegiatan pemanfaatan ikan endemik sebagai aneka souvenir visit meulaboh aceh barat. Kegiatan dilakukan selama 1 (satu) bulan bertempat di Rumah Kreatif Desa Seuneubok Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Provinsi Aceh.     Limbah sedimen tambak merupakan sisa pakan dan feses organisme air yang mengendap di dasar tambak selama proses budidaya berlangsung. Sedimen tersebut secara umum menjadi permasalahan besar dalam budidaya karena dapat mengeluarkan zat yang berbahaya bagi organisme air seperti amonia, nitrit/nitrat, dan lain-lain. Zat tersebut seyogyanya merupakan unsur hara yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh tanaman, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk tujuan tersebut. Pengomposan menggunakan limbah sedimen tambak sebagai bahan baku utama disertai limbah ampas tebu dan rumput basah telah dilakukan di Gampong Pasi Pinang, Meulaboh, Aceh Barat. Proses tersebut berlangsung melalui edukasi dan demonstrasi proses pengolahan pupuk kompos. Mayoritas peserta yang mengikuti memahami konsep dan pelaksanaannya dengan baik, sehingga dapat dilanjutkan secara berkesinambungan secara mandiri untuk mengelola limbah di sekitarnya.

    This service aims to provide knowledge to students of SMK Negeri 1 Meureubo, West Aceh about the management of parent selection in betta fish hatchery activities. Betta fish was a type of ornamental fish that was very popular among people from the top and bottom as well as from children to adults. If done seriously, betta fish farming has bright prospects and can increase people's income. Betta fish farming can run with minimal capital but produces promising profits. However, in cultivating betta fish, many cultivators encounter various obstacles, especially for beginners. One of the obstacles encountered in the cultivation of betta fish was the hatchery phase. In this phase, beginners find it difficult to choose hickey sires that were ready to be spawned.To overcome the obstacles of hatching betta fish for novice cultivators, this community service program was carried out. The solution offered by this community service was to provided additional skills to students of SMK Negeri 1 Meureubo Meulaboh, West Aceh to be able to select broodstock for good and correct betta fish breeders in accordance with SNI for ornamental betta fish. The service method was a discussion and direct practice of how to select the correct and correct parent betta fish (Betta sp.). The results obtained from the dedication are that the students of SMK Negeri 1 Meureubo Meulaboh, West Aceh were very enthusiastic about breeding ornamental betta fish (Betta sp.) and hope that this community service program can continue to be implemented to provide assistance to students of SMK Negeri 1 Meureubo Meulaboh, Aceh West

    Penelitian ini melaporkan efektivitas tetraploidisasi nilem kejut dingin 4OC pada waktu (15, 20 atau 20 menit) dan lama kejut (10 atau 20 menit) berbeda pada telur nilem terfertilisasi membuktikan bahwa persentase fertilitas telur, persentase penetasan dan persentase kelangsungan hidup antar perlakuan berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01) sedangkan Hasil pengukuran dimensi sel darah merah benih nilem tetraploid hasil perlakuan membuktikan efektivitas tetraploidisasi kejut dingin yang diperlakukan, yaitu bahwa panjang sel darah merah berbeda nyata (P<0,05) antar perlakuan; lebar sel darah merah berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan semua perlakuan; luas dan volume sel darah merah berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan semua perlakuan lainnya dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan kejut dingin. Dengan demikian dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan bioteknologi rekayasa reproduksi akuakultur untuk diterapkan dalam skala yang lebih besar dalam rangka memenuhi target peningkatan produksi yang ditetapkan KKP

    Minapadi is a fish rearing system in rice fields that is carried out with rice plants. This study aims to increase the income of farmers with high productivity of rice yields and increase the production of giant prawns. The method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were: P1 = stocking density of 100 birds/plot, P2 = stocking density of 200 birds/plot, P3 = stocking density of 300 birds/plot. This research was conducted for 90 days. Parameters observed were rice productivity and growth. The results showed that the best treatment was P2 = stocking density of 200 birds/plot. by producing an average value of rice productivity of 5 kg/50 m2 and an average value of growth of giant prawns of 4.72%. &nbsp; &nbsp

    UJI EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN MINYAK KEMIRI (Aleurites moluccanus) PADA PAKAN KOMERSIAL TERHADAP TINGKAT KONVERSI PAKAN DAN EFISIENSI PAKAN IKAN BILEH (Rasbora sp.)

    The objective of the present study was to evaluate the giving candlenut oil (aleurites moluccanus) in commercial feed on feed conversion ratio and feed efficiency of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.). Thecompletely randomized design method was used in this study with four treatments and three replications. The treatments studied were pellet without the giving candlenut oil (P0), pellet with the giving candlenut oil 5%/kg of feed (P1), pellet with the giving candlenut oil 10%/kg of feed (P2) and pellet with the giving candlenut oil 15%/kg of feed (P3). Bileh fish seed stocking density was 1 individu/l with the length of  3,5-4 cm and weight of 0,61-0,86 g. The culture period of fish farming was 40 days. The ANOVA test showed that the commercial feed with the giving candlenut oil gave significant effect on feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, specific growth rate of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.), but did not give significant effect on survival rate of bileh fish seed. The best dose to increase feed efficiency and low feed conversion ratio of bileh fish seed is pellet with the giving candlenut oil 15%/kg of feed (P3)

    Plastic waste in the sea is a global problem that directly harms the marine environment (damaging marine ecosystems and threatening the lives of marine organisms), and can indirectly interfere with human health and life. This activity aims to provide knowledge to students at State Elementary School 6 Meulaboh West Aceh about the impact of plastic waste on the marine environment and human life indirectly, as well as instilling an awareness of the importance of keeping the sea clean from an early age. This activity was carried out using the lecture method and interactive discussion with the students of State Elementary School 6 Meulaboh West Aceh. The output of this activity is to increase the awareness of elementary school students about the importance of keeping the marine environment clean and not littering. At the end of the activity, the distribution of tumblers and trash cans was carried out to minimize the use of plastic and provide a garbage disposal container at State Elementary School 6 Meulaboh. With this educational activity, students have been provided with knowledge from an early age about the importance of keeping the marine environment clean from plastic waste, so that in students there is a passion not to throw garbage into the sea or that ends up in the sea because of the large environmental impact that will arise if the polluted sea
