Fourth workshop on Experiments and Detectors for a Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider
We present a description of an experiment which can be used to search for effects of strong electromagnetic fields on the production of e(sup +) e(sup -) pairs in the elastic scattering of two heavy ions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). A very brief discussion of other possible studies of electromagnetic phenomena at RHIC is also presented
A letter of intent for an experiment to study strong electromagnetic fields at RHIC via multiple electromagnetic processes
An experimental program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) which is designed to study nonperturbative aspects of electrodynamics is outlined. Additional possibilities for new studies of electrodynamics via multiple electromagnetic processes are also described
Supercoherent states and physical systems
A method is developed for obtaining coherent states of a system admitting a supersymmetry. These states are called supercoherent states. The presented approach is based on an extension to supergroups of the usual group-theoretic approach. The example of the supersymmetric harmonic oscillator is discussed, thereby illustrating some of the attractive features of the method. Supercoherent states of an electron moving in a constant magnetic field are also described
PROPOZYCJA ZARZĄDZANIA JAKOŚCIĄ NAPIĘCIA Z WYKORZYSTANIEM PODOBCIĄŻENIOWEGO PRZEŁĄCZNIKA ZACZEPÓW TRANSFORMATORA I KOMPENSATORA STATCOM
The paper proposes the use of auxiliary equipment in the low voltage network: an on-load tap changer and a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) to improve the quality of energy supply to end users. As part of the research, a section of medium and low voltage power grid was modelled using Matlab & Simulink software, which was tested in three scenarios. The first scenario presents the operation of the power grid with the on-load tap changer installed in the transformer block. The second scenario uses the STATCOM for local reactive power compensation. Additionally, the third scenario is the combined work of the on-load tap-changer along with the STATCOM. According to the authors, the method discussed does not bring the expected results in the area of voltage quality improvement, indicating that further research is required, including tests with energy storage.W artykule zaproponowano zastosowanie pomocniczych urządzeń w sieci niskiego napięcia: podobciążeniowego przełącznika zaczepów oraz kompensatora mocy biernej (STATCOM) w celu poprawy jakości energii dla odbiorców końcowych. Zamodelowano fragment sieci elektroenergetycznej średniego i niskiego napięcia za pomocą oprogramowania Matlab & Simulink, który został poddany badaniu w ramach trzech scenariuszy. Pierwszy scenariusz prezentuje pracę sieci elektroenergetycznej z podobciążeniowym przełącznikiem zaczepów zainstalowanym w kadzi transformatora. Drugi scenariusz wykorzystuje STATCOM do lokalnej kompensacji mocy biernej.
This paper presents a comparison of the efficiency of two bidirectional DC/DC converters based on dual H-bridge topology. Tested converters were built using Si-based IGBT transistors and SiC-based MOSFETs. The results of the research are efficiency characteristics, taken from tests at the frequency range of 10÷60 kHz. Analysis of the results points to a massive advantage of the SiC-based design over the Si-based one.W artykule zaprezentowano badania porównawcze sprawności dwóch dwukierunkowych przekształtników DC/DC wykonanych w topologii podwójnego mostka H. Badane przekształtniki wykonano w technologii krzemowej z tranzystorami IGBT oraz w technologii węglika krzemu z tranzystorami SiC MOSFET.

Do analizy
został wybrany motyw relacji między naturą i kulturą. Autorka swoje
Supercoherent states
A general approach is presented for constructing coherent states for supersymmetric systems. It uses Rogers's supermanifold formulation of supergroups to extend the group-theoretic method. Supercoherent states are explicitly obtained for the supersymmetric harmonic oscillator. They are shown to be eigenstates of the supersymmetric annihilation operator and to be minimum-uncertainty states. Two more-complex situations with extended physical supersymmetries are also considered: an electron moving in a constant magnetic field, and the electron-monopole system. The supercoherent states for these systems are found using super Baker-Campbell-Hausdorff relations and their interpretation is elucidated
