Clapeyron equation and phase equilibrium properties in higher dimensional charged topological dilaton AdS black holes with a nonlinear source
Using Maxwell's equal area law, we discuss the phase transition of higher
dimensional charged topological dilaton AdS black holes with a nonlinear
source. The coexisting region of the two phases is found and we depict the
coexistence region in diagrams. The two-phase equilibrium curves in
diagrams are plotted, and we take the first order approximation of volume
in the calculation. To better compare with a general thermodynamic system, the
Clapeyron equation is derived for higher dimensional charged topological black
hole with a nonlinear source. The latent heat of isothermal phase transition is
investigated. We also study the effect of the parameters of the black hole on
the region of two-phases coexistence. The results show that the black hole may
go through a small-large phase transition similar to those of usual non-gravity

Bigeye tuna fishing ground in relation to thermocline in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean using Argo data
444-451The relationship beween thermocline and bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) fishing grounds in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean was evaluated by Argo data and monthly CPUE (catch per unit effort). The generalized additive model indicated evidence of nonlinear relationships between CPUE and six thermocline characteristics. The results suggested that the fishing grounds distributed where the upper boundary temperature was about 26 ÂșC and the upper boundary depth values between 70 and 100 m. The fishing grounds located between the two high value shapes of the lower boundary depth of thermocline, if the depth was >300 or <150 m, the CPUE tended to be low. The lower boundary temperature of the thermocline in the fishing grounds was lower than 13 ÂșC. Conversely, if the temperature was higher than 17 ÂșC, the hooking rates were very low. The strongest relationship between CPUE with thermocline thickness and thermocline strength was approximately at 60 m and 0.1 ÂșC/m. The optimum ranges for the upper boundary thermocline temperature and depth and the lower boundary thermocline temperature and depth, thermocline thickness and thermocline strength were between 26-29 ÂșC, 70-110 m, 11-13 ÂșC, 200-280 m, and 0.01-0.15 ÂșC/m, 60-80 m, respectively
Effect of mesenchymal stem cell transplantation on behavior and structural changes in myelin in experimental rat autoimmune encephalomyelitis
Purpose: To investigate the effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BM-MSC) transplantation on behavior and structural changes in myelin of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in rats.Methods: Wistar rats were randomly assigned to normal control, EAE, placebo injection treatment, and MSCs treatment. EAE, placebo injection treatment and MSCs treatment groups were further divided into six groups, i.e., 1-day, 3-day, 7-day, 14-day, 21-day, and 28-day post-onset. Changes in the diseasestatus of the rats and structural changes in myelin at different time points were assessed with silver staining.Results: Behavioral changes peaked between 13 to 17 days post-immunization (71.90 % incidence), while disease symptoms peaked between 3 and 5 days after onset, were sustained for about 7 days, and then eased gradually thereafter. The highest therapeutic scores and the entire course of the disease in EAE and placebo treatment groups were not significantly different (p > 0.05). However, in MSC treatment group, these parameters were significantly lower than in the above two groups (p < 0.05). In EAE and placebo treatment groups, myelin sheath lesions were obvious from day 3 to 7 but on day 14, the number of myelin sheath fragments decreased significantly. Recovery at different time points was also better than those in EAE and placebo treatment groups.Conclusion: MSC transplantation shortens the course of EAE, and also reduces its severity. A Case-Based Reasoning Method for Remanufacturing Process Planning
Remanufacturing is a practice of growing importance due to its increasing environmental and economic benefits. Process planning plays a critical role in realizing a successful remanufacturing strategy. This paper presents a case-based reasoning method for remanufacturing process planning, which allows a process planner to rapidly retrieve, reuse, revise, and retain the solutions to past process problems. In the proposed method, influence factors including essential characteristics, failure characteristics, and remanufacturing processing characteristics are identified, and the local similarity of influence factors between the new case and the past cases is determined by nearest neighbor matching method, and then the vector of correction factor for local similarity is utilized in the nearest neighbor algorithm to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of case searching. To assess the usefulness and practicality of the proposed method, an illustrative example is given and the results are discussed
Quantum tunneling time of a Bose-Einstein condensate traversing through a laser-induced potential barrier
We theoretically study the effect of atomic nonlinearity on the tunneling
time in the case of an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) traversing the
laser-induced potential barrier. The atomic nonlinearity is controlled to
appear only in the region of the barrier by employing the Feshbach resonance
technique to tune interatomic interaction in the tunneling process. Numerical
simulation shows that the atomic nonlinear effect dramatically changes the
tunneling behavior of the BEC matter wave packet, and results in the violation
of Hartman effect and the occurrence of negative tunneling time.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Why a local moment induces an antiferromagnetic ordering: An RVB picture
Based on a Gutzwiller projected BCS wavefunction, it is shown that a local
S=1/2 moment is present around a vacancy site (zinc impurity) in a form of
staggered magnetic moments, which is a direct consequence of the short-ranged

Qualitative and quantitative analysis of catechin and quercetin in flavonoids extracted from Rosa roxburghii Tratt
Purpose: To perform a qualitative and quantitative analysis of catechin and quercetin in flavonoids extracted from Rosa roxburghii Tratt.Methods: Total flavonoids were determined using ultraviolet spectrophotometry (UV) at 500 nm. The optimal gradient program started with 15 % methanol and was kept within a period of 0 â 20 min, while 25 % methanol was kept within 20 â 33 min. Subsequently, the concentration of methanol was reduced to 15 % and was held for 10 min until the next injection. Mass spectrometry spray voltage was 4,000 V, ionization temperature 350 °C, atomizer pressure 35 psi, nitrogen flow rate 8 L/min, and mass scan range 200 â 800 m/z. The detection wavelength used for catechin and quercetin was 270 and 368 nm, respectively.Results: Based on the UV results, Rosa roxburghii Tratt content was 73.85 %, which is in agreement with the national standard. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) results indicate that Rosa roxburghii Tratt flavonoids contained quercetin, 34.26 %, with relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.88 % and catechin content of 2.97 % with RSD of 1.49 %.Conclusion: The proposed measurement method for determining the content of flavonoids in Rosa roxburghii Tratt has the advantage of simplicity, feasibility, good repeatability, and rapid and accurate analysis.Keywords: Rosa roxburghii Tratt, Flavonoids, Catechin, Querceti
