    The results of implementing Family Group Conferences as a method within the Norwegian Child Welfare Services are predominently positive, also compared to traditional methods. A NOVA evaluation found a reduction of the childrenö‚'s problems one year after the Family Group Conference.The evaluation shows a significant, positive development in the Family Group Conference cases. This pertains to a reduction in the social workerö‚'s assessment of how serious the cases were, and their assessment of increased interactional skills on the part of the parents. Also, a reduction of the childrenö‚'s problems was observed.NOVA researcher Sturla Falck has edited the report where athree-year project of implementing the method of Family Group Conferences in 44 municipalitiesin Norway is evaluated. The aim of the evaluation was to cover the effect for the children involved, how the Family Group Conferences (FGCs) were organized and effected, the process connected with the FGCs, follow-ups and results from the conferences
