    PROSES PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI PADA MATERI SISTEM PEREDARAN DARAH MANUSIA DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 3 RAMBATAN

    Leaning process can influence students’ achievement. The lack of students’ understanding on the particular materials could decrease students’ achievement. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the leaning process of biology in human circulator system at the eight grade of Junior High School (SMP) 3 Rambatan covering the lesson plan, implementation of learning proces, evaluation, and students’ learning outcome. This researh was descriptive using qualitative approach. It was conducted at SMP 3 Rambatan. Data were collected using IPKG on lesson, interview, document, and field notes. The reseach shows as follows: (1)  the format of lesson plan used by the teachers has fulfilled the IPKG and could be categorized into good; (2) the learning process had not yet referred to the IPKG but could be classified as good and enough category; (3) the evaluation of learning process had not referred to IPKG; (4) students’ learning activities were still low; and (5) students’ learning outcome were unsatisfactory.Kata Kunci: proses pembelajaran biologi, sistem peredaran darah manusia, aktivitas   siswa, hasil belajar

    Pengaruh Penerapan Service Learning Berbasis Flipped Classroom terhadap Kesadaran Metakognitif dan Literasi Sains Siswa

    The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of flipped classroom-based service learning application on metacognitive awareness and science literacy in fungi material class X SMA Negeri 3 Batusangkar. This type of research is quasi experiments with the research design Posttest Only Control Group Design with a sample number of students who participated in this study as many as 66 people. Data collection in this study using metacognitive awareness questionnaire and science literacy essay test after the implementation of service learning model based on flipped classroom. As a result of the study, the average grade of experiments for science literacy tests was 74.11 and 67.86 in the control class, while the average scores for metacognitive awareness of experimental class learners were 73.79 and 66.23 in the control class. In conclusion, flipped classroom-based service learning has an influence on metacognitive awareness and science literacy of learners.     ANALISA KUALITATIF DAN KUANTITATIF KANDUNGAN ALKOHOL PADA TAPAI KETAN DI KOTA BATUSANGKAR

    The black sticky tapai/ Tapai ketan hitam in Batusangkar, made by fermentating black sticky rice and yeast. The fermentation of black sticky tapai take several days to produce a sweet taste. This process may some assumption that the sweetness in black sticky tapai comes from alcohol as a result of sticky rice fermentation reaction with yeast. As the time of fermentation increases alcohol content, this raises doubt the halalness of black sticky tapai, because based on MUI Fatwa Number.4 in 2003 says the drinks containing ethanol (C2H5OH) more than one persen are categorized haram. Because of that, need some research to see the impact of duration fermentation to alcohol concentration on black sticky tapai in Batusangkar city. The reaserch data was obtained by distillation from various duration of fermentation. The result data were analyzed by product moment correlation test (α = 5%). Base on the research conducted, obtained information that in black sticky tapai contain etanol which has increased alcohol concentration along with the increase of fermentation duration. However, it becomes contradictory with the result of analysis where Y = 3,635 - 15,54 X, t arithmetic ≤ t table, that is 0,16 ≤ 3,18. This conclusions that there is no relationship between duration of fermentation with alcohol concentration

    Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat dan kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Pariangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian korelasional (studi hubungan). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 50 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan dokumen berupa nilai mentah ulangan semester terakhir mata pelajaran IPA. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi product moment dan korelasi ganda.Secara umum, hasil data kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa dengan kriteria sedang, terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa dengan dengan kriteria tinggi dan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat dan kemandirian belajar siswa secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa di SMP N 1 Pariangan dengan kriteria sedang

    Technology that is developing at this paper are believed can help teachers to create learning media. For example, is the use of technology in m-learning's virtual learning media which can be applied to android smartphones. Learning that is currently happening is only conventional and the use of instructional media by teachers has not developed according to technological progress and the use of these technologies has not been applied in learning. Therefore, research is carried out which aims to produce an android-based biology learning module about the material of the regulatory system for SMA / MA students who are valid and practice. This research development using three of the four stages of the development model of 4-D Models, which consist of defining phases, design phases, develop phases, distribution phases (disseminate). The data of this study are primary data obtained from the validation sheet and practicality test questionnaire, then analyzed by descriptive analysis. This research produces a product in the form of a valid and practical biology-based learning module. Based on the validator's assessment, the android-based biology learning module is categorized as very valid (82.84). Based on the assessment of android-based biology subject teachers in the very practical category, the average results of 87.92 were obtained and based on the assessment of students the biology learning module was categorized as very practical and obtained an average value of 86.6. The Android-based biology learning module that the researchers developed is feasible to use in the learning process

    The Trends of Biology Education Research from 2000 to 2017: A Content Analysis for the Thesis of Pre-Service Teachers

    This study aims to investigate the trend of biological education research (BER) from 2000 to 2017 in the thesis of pre-service biology teachers. This study conducted a series of content analyses of the thesis from two universities. A total 1347 thesis were analyzed in terms of sample, method, design, elements and topics and subject matter. It was found that junior and senior high school were the most popular research sample trends. This study was also found that quantitive, research and development or/and educational design research became the trend of the method most chosen and conducted by preservice biology teachers. This findings were also indicated that descriptive, experimental, and 4-D were design trends chosen by preservice biology teachers. This study was also found that cognitive and media of learning were the research elements are the most chosen and conducted by preservice biology teachers. The next findings showed that system and cell was the most popular of biology topic. This finding also indicated that Digestive System (DS) and Circulatory System (CS) and Features (KF) as the most chosen subject matter trends conducted by preservice teacher

    Knowledge Enhancement Among Members of the Women Farmers Group (WFG) through Islamic Science-Based Soil Ecology Education

    Farmers' knowledge about soil ecology, which is a key factor in increasing the productivity of agricultural products, needs to be evaluated considering that various counseling efforts to increase agricultural yields have not shown satisfactory results. Farmers still unequally manage farmland, providing excessive chemical fertilizers without regard to soil ecology. The purpose of this education is to evaluate the knowledge of the Women's Farmers Group (WFG) before and after conducting soil ecology education based on Islamic science. The subjects of this education were 15 members of WFG Bunga Padi, Jorong Kawai, Nagari Batu Bulek, Lintau Buo Utara, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The community-based research (CBR) approach is used in this educational activity. The stages of educational activities start from socialization, laying the basis of the research and the research design, providing pretests and materials, gathering information and analyzing data on biological factors, capillarity of groundwater, water holding capacity, soil aeration, soil fertility, and soil pH, and the evaluation (post-test). The results show an increase in knowledge and understanding among WFG Bunga Padi members after Islamic science-based soil ecology education. It is hoped that, over time, their mindset in managing farmland will be balanced, with less reliance on chemical fertilizers and more emphasis on soil ecology. As a result, Islamic science-based soil ecology education could have a role in improving farmland and laying the foundation for organic farming

    This research study about use of prebiotic Ipomea batatas L. and probiotic  Lactobacillus casei at milk fermentation. The usage of simbiotic increase, recentely, especially, for husbandarys products, such as milk fermentation the purpose of this study was to find out the best composition of prebiotic  Ipomoea batatas L and probiotic Lactobacillus casei given in the process of simbiotic milk fermentation. The method used for this experiment was random cluster, factorial 4 x 3 with 3 times of re-treatment, and was analyzed with BNT and BNJ testing. “A” factor was the use of prebiotic Ipomoea batatas L. (0%, 7,5 %, 15 %, 22,5 %), and “B” factor was the use of probiotic Lactobacillus casei (2%, 3%, 4 %) the component measure were BAL , water and TTA the result of this study was shown that the best use of prebiotic Ipomoea batatas L and probiotic Lactobacillus casei in the process of symbiotic milk fermentation were in the composition of highest BAL : 21,40 x 108 cfu/ml. the highest TTA and water were 0,21 % and 71,98 22,5 %  of prebiotic Ipomoea batatas L.  and 4% probiotic Lactobacillus casei consentrate.   Key words: prebiotic, Ipomea batatas L., probiotic,  Lactobacillus casei, milk fermentati
