It can take various forms. The impact of a scientific paper on the scientific community does not depend exclusively of its own value but also of the journal in which it is published. Choosing the right journal is a critical step in planning an original scientific paper. The choice must be made before typing the manuscript to be in accordance with the âInstructions for Authorsâ published regularly by each journal. Several criteria must be examined carefully, step by step. The processes of submission, peer-reviewing, editing and printing are explained
A power and time efficient radio architecture for LDACS1 air-to-ground communication
L-band Digital Aeronautical Communication System (LDACS) is an emerging standard that aims at enhancing air traffic management by transitioning the traditional analog aeronautical communication systems to the superior and highly efficient digital domain. The standard places stringent requirements on the communication channels to allow them to coexist with critical L-band systems, requiring complex processing and filters in baseband. Approaches based on cognitive radio are also proposed since this allows tremendous increase in communication capacity and spectral efficiency. This requires high computational capability in airborne vehicles that can perform the complex filtering and masking, along with tasks associated with cognitive radio systems like spectrum sensing and baseband adaptation, while consuming very less power. This paper proposes a radio architecture based on new generation FPGAs that offers advanced capabilities like partial reconfiguration. The proposed architecture allows non-concurrent baseband modules to be dynamically loaded only when they are required, resulting in improved energy efficiency, without sacrificing performance. We evaluate the case of non-concurrent spectrum sensing logic and transmission filters on our cognitive radio platform based on Xilinx Zynq, and show that our approach results in 28.3% reduction in DSP utilisation leading to lower energy consumption at run-time
Stock Pricing Analysis of PT. LEN as Alternative Sources of Fund Through the Initial Public Offering (IPO)
PT. LEN is one of state owned companies (BUMN) in Indonesia which is engaged in technology industries. As one of state owned companies (BUMN) which enroll in strategic industries, PT. LEN has a very important role in supporting the growth of Indonesia\u27s development, PT. LEN\u27s business performance has successfully led PT. LEN as a trillion company. In 2011, the life cycle of this company has been projected from phase stability to phase growth. Nevertheless, one issue has arisen when the growth of the company is hampered by funding issue, especially the lack of capital to run the projects. The growth of revenues become unbalanced with working capital, especially liquid working capital (cash). The objective of the company is to Go Public with huge amount of capital which can support the business activities and also to strengthen the capital structure and the liquidity of assets. The sales revenue from some of its stocks is used as an alternative source of fund apart from bank loans. The fund is used to expand the company\u27s activities, to build the facility of developing system, and also to build fabrication workshop. The total amount of fund needed is 590 billion. During the IPO process, there are several things to be concerned, internally and externally. From the company\u27s internal perspective, several things to be be concerned are company\u27s feasibility studies in doing IPO. From the external perspective will affect investors\u27 interest to the company. This thesis uses discounted cash flow as a method to calculate the valuation of the company. This method is used to value stock\u27s price and the amount of stocks issued by PT. LEN for IP process so the price will be interesting to the investors. Other than to fulfill the needs of source funding, IPO process is also one of the program to privatize the state owned companies in Indonesia which is included in BUMN\u27s Masterplan 2010-2014
Increased TCR Avidity after T Cell Activation A Mechanism for Sensing Low-Density Antigen
AbstractWhile activated T cells are known to have enhanced biological responses to antigen stimulation, the biophysical basis of this increased sensitivity remains unknown. Here, we show that, on activated T cells, the TCR avidity for peptide-MHC complexes is 20- to 50-fold higher than the TCR avidity of naive T cells. This increased avidity for peptide-MHC depends on TCR reorganization and is sensitive to the cholesterol content of the T cell membrane. Analysis of the binding data indicates the enhanced avidity is due to increases in cross-linking of TCR on activated T cells. Activation-induced membrane (AIM) changes in TCR avidity represent a previously unrecognized means of increasing the sensitivity of activated T cells to small amounts of antigen in the periphery
Progressive Magnetic Resonance Image Reconstruction Based on Iterative Solution of a Sparse Linear System
Image reconstruction from nonuniformly sampled spatial frequency
domain data is an important problem that arises in computed
imaging. Current reconstruction techniques suffer from limitations
in their model and implementation. In this paper, we present a new
reconstruction method that is based on solving a system of linear
equations using an efficient iterative approach. Image pixel
intensities are related to the measured frequency domain data
through a set of linear equations. Although the system matrix is
too dense and large to solve by direct inversion in practice, a
simple orthogonal transformation to the rows of this matrix is
applied to convert the matrix into a sparse one up to a certain
chosen level of energy preservation. The transformed system is
subsequently solved using the conjugate gradient method. This
method is applied to reconstruct images of a numerical phantom as
well as magnetic resonance images from experimental spiral imaging
data. The results support the theory and demonstrate that the
computational load of this method is similar to that of standard
gridding, illustrating its practical utility
The Use of the S-Quattro Dynamic External Fixator for the Treatment of Intra-Articular Phalangeal Fractures: A Review of the Literature
Intra-articular phalangeal fractures are a common injury. If left untreated, these injuries can lead to poor functional outcome with severe dehabilitating consequences, especially in younger patients
