Twist Removal Of Healed Vs. Nonhealed Implants-a Mechanical And Histological Study In Mini Pigs

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of removal torque (reverse torque) of titanium implants in peri-implant bone. Methods: The P1-M1 teeth were extracted bilaterally of 6 mini pigs (BR-1). Each animal received 6 titanium implants, three for each side of mandible. On the right side of mandible, 3 implants reminded 9 months (9M) under masticatory activity and on the left side, other 3 implants were placed and immediately removed (IR). All 36 implants were removed by removal torque, and the recorded values were statistically analyzed. Animals were euthanized right after the removal torque and recording. Each third (cervical, medium, and apical) of peri-implant bone was extracted and analyzed histological and immunohistochemically. Student's t test was used to determine statistical differences in the values between the 9M and IR samples. Data were presented as means with standard deviations. The level of significance was set at 5% (P < 0.05). Results: Removal torque was higher in 9M experimental situation than in IR. Histological characteristics of mature bone were presented in the 9M experimental condition, and immature bone characteristics were presented in the IR experimental condition. Removal torque caused small fractures and rounding in the bone grooving. Immunohistochemical analysis reinforced the histological results; Student's t test provided statistically significant differences to osteocalcin expression in 9M samples and no statistically significant differences expression to collagen I in both experimental conditions (P < 0.05). Reflexões sobre ensino da aquicultura no arquipélago do Marajó, Amazônia Oriental A aquicultura é uma atividade agropecuária em crescimento no arquipélago do Marajó, Estado do Pará, Brasil. Assim, é importante discuti à criação de organismos aquáticos em cursos técnicos da área de ciências agrárias. Diante disso, o presente estudo teve como objetivo entender os estudantes em agropecuária quanto a área da aquicultura, por meio da aplicação da análise diagnóstica. A metodologia consistiu em uma pesquisa de campo, qualitativa e explicativa. O estudo foi desenvolvido com 50 alunos do primeiro ano do ensino médio do curso técnico em Agropecuária do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Pará (IFPA), Campus Breves. Em conclusão, os estudantes declaram achar importante o assunto da aquicultura como disciplina dentro do curso técnico, apesar de, também demonstrarem pouca afinidade com a área; os que demonstraram afinidade apresentam o interesse pela criação de peixes. APLICAÇÃO DE ÂNGULOS CONTIDA EM LIVROS DIDÁTICOS E A PRÁTICA EM SALA DE AULA COM ALUNOS DE 7ª SÉRIE

Procura-se neste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso abordar sobre a aplicação de ângulos, contida em livros didáticos e a prática em sala de aula com alunos de 7ª série. Num primeiro momento faz-se um breve comentário sobre propostas que defendem a utilização de materiais manipuláveis para se ensinar Geometria. Em seguida apresenta-se um pequeno estudo sobre como os livros didáticos tratam o tema ensino de ângulos. Em seguida, apresenta-se o estudo realizado com alunos de uma 7ª série de uma escola do município de Igarapava (SP). Durante um semestre, a pesquisadora colheu dados mediante depoimentos, observação em sala de aula e observação em reuniões de Conselho de Classe. Foram também consultados planejamento de professores, cadernos de geometria de alunos de 7ª série e trabalhos envolvendo ângulos. As conclusões básicas a que se chegou gravitam em torno de dois pólos complementares: os professores informantes, em sua ampla maioria, demonstraram um conhecimento escasso de como melhorar o conhecimento do aluno com relação ao conceito de ângulo, a fim de que estes compreendam as propriedades das figuras e das relações geométricas; ou seja, a prática desses professores, também majoritariamente, afasta-se das orientações que devem ser fornecidas aos alunos de 7ª série, na aplicação de ângulos. Foi possível constatar que o ensino de conceito de ângulo merecia uma atenção especial, por ser fundamental para a compreensão da maioria das propriedades das figuras e das relações geométricas que o ensino formal pretende fornecer aos educandos, na escola

Reflections on teaching aquaculture in the Marajó archipelago, Eastern Amazon

Aquaculture is a growing agricultural activity in the Marajó Archipelago, State of Pará, Brazil. Thus, it is important to discuss the creation of aquatic organisms in technical courses in the field of agrarian sciences. Given this, the present study aimed to understand the students’ reflections in agriculture regarding the area of aquaculture, through the application of diagnostic analysis. The methodology consisted of a qualitative and explanatory field research. The study was developed with 50 students of the first year of high school of the technical course in Agriculture of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA), Campus Breves. In conclusion, the students declared that they found the subject of aquaculture important as a discipline within the technical course, although they interested in fish farming.
