Concurrent Geometric Multicasting
We present MCFR, a multicasting concurrent face routing algorithm that uses
geometric routing to deliver a message from source to multiple targets. We
describe the algorithm's operation, prove it correct, estimate its performance
bounds and evaluate its performance using simulation. Our estimate shows that
MCFR is the first geometric multicast routing algorithm whose message delivery
latency is independent of network size and only proportional to the distance
between the source and the targets. Our simulation indicates that MCFR has
significantly better reliability than existing algorithms
Direct Amidation of Amino Acid Derivatives Catalyzed by Arylboronic Acids: Applications in Dipeptide Synthesis
The direct amidation of amino acid derivatives catalyzed by arylboronic acids has been examined. The reaction was generally slow relative to simple amine-carboxylic acid combinations though proceeded at 65–68 °C generally avoiding racemization. 3,4,5-Trifluorophenylboronic and o-nitrophenylboronic acids were found to be the best catalysts, though for slower dipeptide formations, high catalyst loadings were required and an interesting synergistic catalytic effect between two arylboronic acids was discovered
From Structural Assurances to Trusting Beliefs: Validating Persuasion Principles in the Context of Online Shopping
The topic of shopping attitude has received long lasing attention in the context of e-commerce. Previous studies have elucidated the different facets of online shopping attitude and have overemphasized a prevalent assertion on the relationship between web design artifacts and consumers’ psychological responses. However, the imitability of web design in practice makes no differentiation among a glut of shopping websites and probably leads to revenue declination due to the fact that the instability of attitude frequently leads to attitudinal ambivalence. Hence, understanding how to strengthen consumers’ attitudes toward online shopping should be fruitful for remedying attitude inconsistency in e-commerce. The current study extended related research by examining the simultaneous effects of trusting beliefs on consumers’ attitudes toward online shopping. We adopted the concept of structural assurance and the principles of persuasion as the theoretical underpinnings. The proposed model is expected to contribute to relevant literature by offering theoretical contributions and managerial implications that can help both researchers and online retailers to understand more clearly how consumers develop their attitudes toward shopping online
The open-charm radiative and pionic decays of molecular charmonium Y(4274)
In this work, we investigate the decay widths and the line shapes of the
open-charm radiative and pionic decays of Y(4274) with the
molecular charmonium assignment. Our calculation
indicates that the decay widths of and
can reach up to 0.05 keV and 0.75 keV,
respectively. In addition, the result of the line shape of the photon spectrum
of shows that there exists a very sharp
peak near the large end point of photon energy. The line shape of the pion
spectrum of is similar to that of the pion
spectrum of , where we also find a very
sharp peak near the large end point of pion energy. According to our
calculation, we suggest further experiments to carry out the search for the

Continuous wave optical parametric oscillator for quartz-enhanced photoacoustic trace gas sensing
A continuous wave optical parametric oscillator, generating up to 300 mW idler output in the 3–4 μm wavelength region, and pumped by a fiber-amplified DBR diode laser is used for trace gas detection by means of quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS). Mode-hop-free tuning of the OPO output over 5.2 cm-1 and continuous spectral coverage exceeding 16.5 cm-1 were achieved via electronic pump source tuning alone. Online monitoring of the idler wavelength, with feedback to the DBR diode laser, provided an automated closed-loop control allowing arbitrary idler wavelength selection within the pump tuning range and locking of the idler wavelength with a stability of 1.7×10-3 cm-1 over at least 30 min.\ud

Using this approach, we locked the idler wavelength at an ethane absorption peak and obtained QEPAS data to verify the linear response of the QEPAS signal at different ethane concentrations (100 ppbv-20 ppmv) and different power levels. The detection limit for ethane was determined to be 13 ppbv (20 s averaging), corresponding to a normalized noise equivalent absorption coefficient of 4.4×10-7 cm-1 W/Hz1/2
Effects of different surface treatments on the shear bond strength of veneering ceramic materials to zirconia
PURPOSE: To evaluate and compare the effect of different materials and techniques on the shear bond strength of veneering ceramic materials to zirconia. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 136 sintered zirconia cubes were prepared and randomly divided into four study groups according to corresponding methods of surface treatment and materials: GLN (grinding followed by laser scanning using Noritake Cerabien ZR), SLN (sandblasting followed by laser scanning using Noritake Cerabien ZR), GLV (grinding followed by laser scanning using VITA VM 9), and SLV (sandblasting followed by laser scanning using VITA VM 9). Spraying technique was performed to coat the core. Profilometer, SEM, XRD, EDS, universal testing machine, and stereomicroscope were used to record surface roughness Ra, surface morphology, phase transformation, elemental compositions, shear bond strength SBS values, and failure types, respectively. Specimens were investigated in unaged (not immersed in artificial saliva) and aged (stored in artificial saliva for a month) conditions to evaluate SBS values. RESULTS: Grinding and GLN as first and second surface treatments provided satisfactory Ra values in both conditions (1.05 ± 0.24 µm, 1.30 ± 0.21 µm) compared to sandblasting and other groups (P<.05). The group GLN showed the highest SBS values in both conditions (30.97 ± 3.12 MPa, 29.09 ± 4.17 MPa), while group SLV recorded the lowest (23.96 ± 3.60 MPa, 22.95 ± 3.68 Mpa) (P<.05). Sandblasting showed phase transformation from t-m. Mixed failure type was the commonest among all groups. CONCLUSION: GLN showed to be a reliable method which provided satisfactory bond strength between the veneer ceramic and zirconia. This method might preserve the integrity of fixed dental crowns
Tunable variation of optical properties of polymer capped gold nanoparticles
Optical properties of polymer capped gold nanoparticles of various sizes
(diameter 3-6 nm) have been studied. We present a new scheme to extract size
dependent variation of total dielectric function of gold nanoparticles from
measured UV-Vis absorption data. The new scheme can also be used, in principle,
for other related systems as well. We show how quantum effect, surface atomic
co - ordination and polymer - nanoparticle interface morphology leads to a
systematic variation in inter band part of the dielectric function of gold
nanoparticles, obtained from the analysis using our new scheme. Careful
analysis enables identification of the possible changes to the electronic band

Formation of a galaxy with a central black hole in the Lemaitre-Tolman model
We construct two models of the formation a galaxy with a central black hole,
starting from a small initial fluctuation at recombination. This is an
application of previously developed methods to find a Lemaitre-Tolman model
that evolves from a given initial density or velocity profile to a given final
density profile. We show that the black hole itself could be either a collapsed
object, or a non-vacuum generalisation of a full Schwarzschild-Kruskal-Szekeres
wormhole. Particular attention is paid to the black hole's apparent and event

Which blazars are neutrino loud?
Protons accelerated in the cores of active galactic nuclei can effectively
produce neutrinos only if the soft radiation background in the core is
sufficiently high. We find restrictions on the spectral properties and
luminosity of blazars under which they can be strong neutrino sources. We
analyze the possibility that neutrino flux is highly beamed along the rotation
axis of the central black hole. The enhancement of neutrino flux compared to
GeV gamma-ray flux from a given source makes the detection of neutrino point
sources more probable. At the same time the smaller open angle reduces the
number of possible neutrino-loud blazars compared to the number of gamma-ray
loud ones. We present the table of 15 blazars which are the most likely

Anomalous dipion invariant mass distribution of the decays into and
To solve the discrepancy between the experimental data on the partial widths
and lineshapes of the dipion emission of and the theoretical
predictions, we suggest that there is an additional contribution which was not
taken into account in previous calculations. Noticing that the mass of
is above the production threshold of , the contribution
of the sequential process () may be sizable, and its interference with
that from the direct production would be important. The goal of this work is to
investigate if a sum of the two contributions with a relative phase indeed
reproduces the data. Our numerical results on the partial widths and the
lineshapes are satisfactorily consistent
with the measurements, thus the role of this mechanism is confirmed. Moreover,
with the parameters obtained by fitting the data of the Belle and Babar
