Mixing and Demixing Processes in Multiphase Flows With Application to Propulsion Systems
A workshop on transport processes in multiphase flow was held at the Marshall Space Flight Center on February 25 and 26, 1988. The program, abstracts and text of the presentations at this workshop are presented. The objective of the workshop was to enhance our understanding of mass, momentum, and energy transport processes in laminar and turbulent multiphase shear flows in combustion and propulsion environments
Stability and performance characteristics of a fixed arrow wing supersonic transport configuration (SCAT 15F-9898) at Mach numbers from 0.60 to 1.20
Tests on a 0.015 scale model of a supersonic transport were conducted at Mach numbers from 0.60 to 1.20. Tests of the complete model with three wing planforms, two different leading-edge radii, and various combinations of component parts, including both leading- and trailing-edge flaps, were made over an angle-of-attack range from about -6 deg to 13 deg and at sideslip angles of 0 deg and 2 deg

Strategic or Status quo-Preserving Business Exit: (How) Do CEO Turnover and Succession Matter?
Business exit has implications for a firm’s corporate strategy. Two types of exit events are distinguished: those that involve strategic change and those that are status quo-preserving. This study investigates the impact of CEO turnover and succession on strategic versus status quo-preserving business exits. Based on a sample of CEO turnover and succession events and subsequent business exits of German corporations from different industries, our results suggest that neither voluntary nor involuntary CEO turnover is relevant to business exit. In contrast, outsider succession significantly affects the likelihood of strategic business exit, while a corporation’s performance does not moderate this relationship
The Rare Top Decays and
The large value of the top quark mass implies that the rare top decays and , and and
, are kinematically allowed decays so long as or , respectively. The partial decay widths for these decay modes
are calculated in the standard model. The partial widths depend sensitively on
the precise value of the top quark mass. The branching ratio for is as much as for , and could be
observable at LHC. The rare decay modes and are highly GIM-suppressed, and thus provide a means for testing the GIM
