    Biomass potency in Indonesia is very abundant both from the animal manure or plant. Agriculture and plantations waste which are abundant can be utilized as the energy source. One of them is the rice husk. This experiment used rice husk gasification method with downdraft gasifier to turn it into a combustible gas that will be burned in the combustion chamber cyclone. The advantage of gasification compared to the method of the direct combustion is cleaner burning and particulates and contaminants can be removed before burning. The cyclone fuels can produce good mixing which is suitable for gas with low calorific value. The composition of syngas produced by gasification of rice husk are H2 13,6%, CO 14,9%, CO2 12,9% dan CH4 2,3% [1]. After leaving the reactor syngas entry cyclone separator to remove moisture and contaminants, and then go to the storage tank and eventually went to cyclone fuel to be burned after mixing with air through a different inlet. After that the different value of AFR will vary to see the changes in temperature of the flame, the fire position in the combustion chamber and the flame shape. From the experimental results in AFR = 1.59 fire in the combustion chamber air beetween 1 and 2, in the AFR = 1.14 The fire in the combustion chamber in the plane 2, in AFR = 0.69 fire in the combustion chamber 3 and in the air beetween AFR = 0.27 fire outside the combustion chamber after mixing withfresh air

    Pengaruh Frekuensi Aplikasi Isolat Jamur Entomopatogen Beauveria Bassiana Terhadap Kutudaun (Aphis Glycines Matsumura) Dan Organisme Non-target Pada Pertanaman Kedelai

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh frekuensi aplikasi jamur Beauveria bassiana terhadap populasi dan mortalitas hama kutudaun (Aphis glycines Matsumura), dan populasi musuh alami dan organisme non-target lainnya pada pertanaman kedelai. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Penelitian ini terdiri atas enam perlakuan yaitu tanpa aplikasi (kontrol), 1 kali, 2 kali, 3 kali, 4 kali, dan 5 kali aplikasi B. bassiana. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi isolat jamur B. bassiana mampu menginfeksi dan menyebabkan kematian hama kutudaun Aphis glycines di pertanaman kedelai pada 3 hari setelah aplikasi di setiap minggu pengamatan, aplikasi B. bassiana dengan berbagai frekuensi menunjukkan bahwa jumlah famili non-target dan total organisme non-target lebih rendah dibandingkan tanpa aplikasi. Jenis organisme nontarget yang diamati sebanyak 13 famili arthropoda, namunterdapat 3 famili dominan yang berupa musuh alami yaitu famili Lycosidae, Formicidae, dan Gryllidae. Selain itu, frekuensi aplikasi B. bassiana tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman (tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah bunga dan jumlah polong) serta hasil tanaman kedelai (berat brangkasan basah, berat brangkasan tanpa polong, jumlah polong isi, jumlah polong tidak isi, berat brangkasan kering, brangkasan kering tanpa polong, berat polong kering, dan berat biji kering tanaman kedelai)

    Sampah merupakan problem yang belum terpecahkan di kota-kota besar termasuk kota Semarang. Penanggulangan untuk mencegah timbunan sampah dan melakukan pengolahan sampah secara tepat perlu dilakukan. Salah satu cara untuk menangani sampah khususnya sampah organik adalah menerapkan teknologi, dengan mengolah sampah menjadi kompos. Dengan bantuan mesin pengolah sampah, pembuatan sampah organik menjadi kompos dapat dilakukan dalam jumlah yang besar yang tidak saja bermanfaat bagi tanaman tetapi juga dapat dijual untuk menambah ekonomi masyarakat. Metode dalam kegiatan Ipteks bagi Masyarakat ini adalah penerapan alat pencacah sampah untuk membantu dalam mencacah sampah organik di pasar Pedurungan dalam kaitannya dengan pengelolaan sampah organik pasar menjadi kompos. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil kegiatan adalah terlaksananya kegiatan pendidikan dan pelatihan kepada pengepul sampah untuk memilah sampah organik dan non organik, juga tentang cara membuat kompos, serta manajemen USAha. Alat pencacah sampah digunakan untuk mencacah sampah dalam skala besar. Hasil lainnya adalah telah diproduksinya kompos dan sudah di packing dalam kemasan yang menarik serta telah dipasarkan di sekitar wilayah pasar termasuk di Perumahan sekitar wilayah Pedurungan. Terbentuk pula tim manajemen USAha yang terdiri dari unsur UPTD Pasar Pedurungan Kota Semarang dan pengepul sampah

    . This research was aimed to increase of students understanding about Islamic culture concept. Problem of research can formulated: (1) how think pairshare models of learning can improve students understanding about Islamic culture concept?, and (2) how‟s the models got positive respon from the students?. This research was classroom action research. Subject of research are the students of program of study history education. The research have two cycles. Every cycle have four phase, i.e: planning, actuating, observation, and reflection. The data collected through interview, observation, and documentation. Data analyses used Milles and Huberman interactive models. From the research, it can be concluded that there are understanding increase of Islamic culture concept. In first cycle, three group of students has opinion of Islamic culture as a culture was characterized by religion (Islam) archeological remains. Meanwhile two groups still seen the concept as a culture who has made by moslem society. In second cycle, five group of students have opinion of Islamic culture as a culture was characterized by Islam archeologicalremains. Secondly, there is more activity of students in teaching learning process which used the models of learning. The students enthusiastic to accompanied every stage of teaching learning process. Based from the findings of research, it can be suggested that: (1) variation of models of learning need to be used in teaching learning process, (2) this research only used in one topic and subject matter, so that it necessary be used in different topic and subject matter for content the similar problem

    Internet of Things (IoT) needs to be developed in education and serves as one of the roles of education to face the industrial revolution 4.0. Vocational High School (SMK) is an appropriate level of education to prepare early for knowledge and application of IoT technology. Vocational High School Jakarta 1 has good technology but the competency of applying IoT expertise is still lacking. To improve the understanding and application of IoT, Physics Engineering Study Program of Binawan University proposes a solution in the form of training with the theme: Implementing Internet of Things (IoT) to improve student competence in Vocational High School Jakarta 1. This training aims to introduce about IoT especially implementation in the scheme monitoring by using light and temperature sensors to increase student motivation and competence in the industrial era 4.0. Based on the analysis of the data, it was concluded that the competency of student expertise could be significantly increased through IoT training to be accepted with significance level of 0.05. The method of implementing training is team work that is able to make the training more effectively and efficiently

    Chronic Diarrhea Caused by Amebic Colitis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease

    The diagnosis of intestinal amebiasis is easily established based on colonoscopy, i.e. there is a specific characteristic of ulcer/lesion “discrete flask-shape ulcer” with normal mucosa among the ulcers. However, most patients with amebic colitis have non-specific clinical manifestations and their colonoscopy findings are hardly distinguished from inflammatory bowel disease. In the present case, the patient had a chief complaint of chronic bleeding diarrhea and abdominal pain. The fecal analysis found trophozoites of Entamoeba histolytica. Serology test (sero-amebic) revealed negative result. The colonoscopy examination reveals hyperemic mucosa, edema, and multiple ulcers with various sizes covered with fragile and easily bleed debris, from the rectum to ascending colon, rigid colon, narrowing lumen and tumor/mass appearance on ascending colon. The differential diagnosis was severe amebic colitis and inflammatory bowel disease. Based on the colonoscopy biopsy, we found an active chronic colitis along with dysplasia. The patient received management and treatment of severe amebic colitis and inflammatory bowel disease

    Multimedia can be used as a supportive element in education. The most significant implementation of multimedia is shown in computer assisted instruction (CAI). It is a self-instructional program which provides an accessible, interactive, and flexible way of presenting curriculum material. Therefore, this research objective is to design and develop a CAI for physics as a supportive learning method at school. Interactive Multimedia System Design & Development Cycle is used as the research method. It explains about a development and design cycle, especially for interactive multimedia system. Any information and data for analyzing user\u27s need are obtained through questionnaire and interview. From the research, it is shown that most of the students face difficulties in learning physics as they imagine the logic or process that happens. Being implemented, most students as well as teachers are interested in this application that makes it easier for them to understand the physics process
