This study aims to: (1) analyze how the validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning tools developed through problem based learning models in algebra in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutng; 2) analyze how to increase mathematical connection skills after using learning tools developed through algebraic material models in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung. This research is categorized into Development Research using the Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel learning device development model, namely the 4-D model (Four D Model). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung which is one of the junior high schools in Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. The subjects in this study were grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung, namely grades VII-A and VII-B in the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of the study show that: (1) learning devices with Problem Based Learning are included in the valid, practical and effective categories; (2) The improvement of students' mathematical connection abilities after using the problem based learning model on algebraic material based on the average achievement of students' mathematical connection abilities based on the posttest results of the first trial was 77.75, increasing to 82.25 in the second trial. Thus, there was an increase in the average score of students' connection abilities of 4.5. The study is on the development of inventories to assess the personal and professional growth of the administrators and teachers of O.P.-Siena schools as provided for in the personnel development cycles. It aims to develop an evaluation instrument specifically termed as Administrator Inventory Test and Teacher Inventory Test. The researcher made use of modified Criterion-Referenced Test Development by Roid and Haladyna (1982) to develop a preliminary form of Administrator and Teacher Inventories. The use of this model facilitated the construction, refinement and validation of the said instrument. The first group of subjects who participated in this study were the administrators which included school heads, College Deans, Principals, Assistant Principals, Subject Area Coordinators or Chairmen, and Coordinators of Student Activities. The other group is composed of faculty members from the grade school, high school and college departments. There were 57 respondents from the first group and 134 respondents from the second group. The development of inventories to assess the personal and professional growth of administrators and teachers went through the following process: 1. Identifying the different domains in measuring the personal and professional growth of the administrators and teachers based on the O.P.-Siena Schools Foundations Manual, Administrative Development Manual and the Faculty Handbook. 2. Determining the content validity of the inventories through logical review. 3. Determining the expected performance standard of the administrators and teachers after having undergone the different development cycles. 4. Finding the reliability coefficient of the nine sections of the administrator inventory and ten sections of teacher inventory. 5. Determining the percentage of the items acceptable for the final form of the inventories after having gone through logical and empirical review. The nine domains for the administrator inventory and ten domains for the teacher inventory were reflective of the expected behavior of the administrators and teachers of the schools under the CS-SD program because these domains were drawn from appropriate manuals and handbooks of the O.P.-Siena schools and were cooperatively prepared by the researcher and some administrators and teachers of O.P.-Siena schools under the CS-SD program. The inventories possessed the content validity as determined through logical review by experts/consultants on instrumentations and CS-SD program. There was no significant difference between the schools in cycle 1 and schools in cycle 2 which was most probably brought about by the design of the program. The number of remaining discriminating items for both administrator and teacher inventories were adequate enough in terms of content coverage and length for testing purposes. The inventories have high reliability coefficients. There was the internal consistency of the items and consistency of measurement

This descriptive evaluative study documents the experiences of the Dominican-St. Catherine of Siena Tertiary Level Schools that are involved specifically in the management of extension services programs for indigenous people. The study is focused on the Aeta Integrated Program of Siena College, Quezon City and Health Resource Development Program of Holy Trinity College, Puerto Princesa City. The ultimate aim of this study is to come up with a college-based management model that is deemed to be more effective in future policy making, planning and implementation of extension service programs. The study employed several evaluation methods like interview, documentary analysis, questionnaire and direct observation to obtain information. The principal tools for gathering data are two sets of questionnaire developed by the researcher. The Questionnaire used for college-based respondents revealed information about the Profile of the Respondents, Vision-Mission and Objectives of ESPs, Personnel Involved and their functions, Planning and Programming Schemes, Resources (fiscal, human and material), Problems encountered and solutions adopted, Roles played by Program Implementors, Their level of effectiveness, Strategies in the delivery of services, Monitoring and Evaluation Schemes and Status of Management Functions. The Questionnaire for the respondent beneficiaries revealed the following information: Spiritual Development, Intellectual (Knowledge and Skills), Economic (Livelihood), Physical (Health), Social and Housing. The researcher developed an eclectic model of survey based on the process of summative evaluation according to Herman, Morris and Fitz-Gibbon (1990) and the three models of evaluation by UNESCO (1993) which are Monitoring and Evaluation (Income Generating Programs, IGP), Post Literacy Programmes Evaluation and Feedback, and Equivalency Programmes Evaluation. The findings were used as background data to bring about the transition from the old model to the development of a Proposed Management Model of Extension Service Program in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of Dominican-St. Catherine of Siena Schools
