    Ensemble residual network-based gender and activity recognition method with signals

    Nowadays, deep learning is one of the popular research areas of the computer sciences, and many deep networks have been proposed to solve artificial intelligence and machine learning problems. Residual networks (ResNet) for instance ResNet18, ResNet50 and ResNet101 are widely used deep network in the literature. In this paper, a novel ResNet-based signal recognition method is presented. In this study, ResNet18, ResNet50 and ResNet101 are utilized as feature extractor and each network extracts 1000 features. The extracted features are concatenated, and 3000 features are obtained. In the feature selection phase, 1000 most discriminative features are selected using ReliefF, and these selected features are used as input for the third-degree polynomial (cubic) activation-based support vector machine. The proposed method achieved 99.96% and 99.61% classification accuracy rates for gender and activity recognitions, respectively. These results clearly demonstrate that the proposed pre-trained ensemble ResNet-based method achieved high success rate for sensors signals. © 2020, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature

    Kanunsuz bir girişimin adli bilişim suçu olup olmadığının araştırılabilmesi için bu suç girişiminin öncelikle hukuksal boyuta dayandırılması gerekmektedir. Sanallaştırma yapılan sistemlerde, sanal makinelerin kurulması, yapılandırmasının yapılması ve kontrol edilmesi fiziksel makinelere göre daha kolay olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Fırat Üniversitesi sunucu bilgisayarlarından olan sanal bir makine üzerinde kurulu olup, çalışan ve çalıştığı ağın trafiğini yavaşlatarak istenilmeyen sitelere bağlantı yapan kötücül bir yazılımın tespit edilerek engellenmesi için yapılan bir çalışmanın adli bilişim vakası olmadan önceki durumu incelenecektir. Çalışma adli bilişimin bir alt dalı olarak kabul edilebilecek olan ağ adli bilişimi ile ilgilidir. Çalışma için ağ trafiği izlenerek anormal kabul edilebilecek olan durumların üzerine gidilmiştir. Ağ içerisindeki ve doğrudan sunucu bilgisayar içerisindeki güvenlik duvarı yapılandırmalarının nasıl yapılması gerektiği ve olayın adli bilişim vakası durumuna geldiği zaman elde edilebilecek delillerin nasıl alınacağından bahsedilecektir

    The research aims to determine the history of Islamic heritage in Jepara, namely the Mantingan Mosque and Tomb site and the Auliya Daeng Tomb. Qualitative methods are used with historical approaches including heuristics, source verification, data interpretation and report writing. The Mantingan Mosque is a cross-cultural blend in Jepara society. The shape of the mosque which is tall and has steps in common with the punden terraces, a relic of the pre-literate era, namely the Megalithic era. On the roof of the mosque you can see the shape of a joglo like a traditional Javanese house, but at the end of the roof there is a pointed shape like a Chinese ethnic house. On the walls of the mosque there are also white stone carvings as the influence of Hindu-Buddhist and Chinese culture. This description explains that the Mantingan Mosque is a concrete example of a harmonious blend of cultures by the people of Jepara during the early days of the spread of Islam in Indonesia. Auliya Daeng Tomb is a historical site located not far from the Mantingan Mosque and Tomb. Auliya Daeng's grave site is located in Krapyak Village, Tahunan District, Jepara. The tomb has something in common with the presence of ancient brick construction in the tomb. Other forms of gravestones have Bugis, Aceh and Demak influences. This legacy indicates that Islam in Java developed long before Demak was founded. In addition, the discovery of Auliya Daeng's grave is a form of tolerance for the Indonesian people, who have always been diverse and multicultural

    The efficacy and safety of omalizumab in refractory chronspontaneous urticaria: Real-life experience in Turkey

    Introduction: This study used real-world data to evaluate the effectiveness and reliability of omalizumab in treating recalcitrant chronic spontaneous urticaria in Turkish patients. Methods: Study data were collected retrospectively from eight tertiary-care hospitals in Turkey. This study included 132 patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria that were resistant to H1 antihistamine treatment in a dose up to four times the licensed dose and were treated with 300 mg/month of omalizumab for 6 months. Results: The mean weekly urticarial activity score (UAS7) after omalizumab treatment improved significantly compared to the pretreatment score (p <0.001). Treatment response was detected primarily in the 1st and 2nd months after treatment. No significant association was observed between omalizumab’s treatment effectiveness and disease-related parameters or laboratory data. The mean dermatology life quality index was 23.12 ± 6.15 before treatment and decreased to 3.55 ± 3.60 6 months after treatment (p <0.001). No side effects were reported in 89.4% (118) of the patients. Conclusion: This study showed that UAS7 decreased significantly and quality of life improved in omalizumab-treated patients. Moreover, treatment effectiveness was mainly observed in the first 2 months after treatment. However, no association was observed between omalizumab treatment effectiveness and disease-related parameters or laboratory data

    Urticaria and infections

    Urticaria is a group of diseases that share a distinct skin reaction pattern. Triggering of urticaria by infections has been discussed for many years but the exact role and pathogenesis of mast cell activation by infectious processes is unclear. In spontaneous acute urticaria there is no doubt for a causal relationship to infections and all chronic urticaria must have started as acute. Whereas in physical or distinct urticaria subtypes the evidence for infections is sparse, remission of annoying spontaneous chronic urticaria has been reported after successful treatment of persistent infections. Current summarizing available studies that evaluated the course of the chronic urticaria after proven Helicobacter eradication demonstrate a statistically significant benefit compared to untreated patients or Helicobacter-negative controls without urticaria (p < 0.001). Since infections can be easily treated some diagnostic procedures should be included in the routine work-up, especially the search for Helicobacter pylori. This review will update the reader regarding the role of infections in different urticaria subtypes
