Self-heterodyned detection of dressed state coherences in helium by noncollinear extreme ultraviolet wave mixing with attosecond pulses

Noncollinear wave-mixing spectroscopies with attosecond extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulses provide unprecedented insight into electronic dynamics. In infrared and visible regimes, heterodyne detection techniques utilize a reference field to amplify wave-mixing signals while simultaneously allowing for phase-sensitive measurements. Here, we implement a self-heterodyned detection scheme in noncollinear wave-mixing measurements with a short attosecond XUV pulse train and two few-cycle near infrared (NIR) pulses. The initial spatiotemporally overlapped XUV and NIR pulses generate a coherence of both odd (1snp) and even (1sns and 1snd) parity states within gaseous helium. A variably delayed noncollinear NIR pulse generates angularly-dependent four-wave mixing signals that report on the evolution of this coherence. The diffuse angular structure of the XUV harmonics underlying these emission signals is used as a reference field for heterodyne detection, leading to cycle oscillations in the transient wave-mixing spectra. With this detection scheme, wave-mixing signals emitting from at least eight distinct light-induced, or dressed, states can be observed, in contrast to only one light induced state identified in a similar homodyne wave-mixing measurement. In conjunction with the self-heterodyned detection scheme, the noncollinear geometry permits the conclusive identification and angular separation of distinct wave-mixing pathways, reducing the complexity of transient spectra. These results demonstrate that the application of heterodyne detection schemes can provide signal amplification and phase-sensitivity, while maintaining the versatility and selectivity of noncollinear attosecond XUV wave-mixing spectroscopies. These techniques will be important tools in the study of ultrafast dynamics within complex chemical systems in the XUV regime

Centrifugal pumps are vital property of the agriculture sector. A good quality pump can assure uninterrupted water supply to irrigate crops. The consumer of agriculture sector is largely illiterate and shortcoming of the pumps is faced by farmers in the terms of wastage of money. The study has carried out to grow awareness about the technique among the farmers. In such cases reliable functioning of the pump is an absolute necessity. The major objective of this paper is the analysis of the component life and frequency of occurrence of problem in a centrifugal pump. A survey was conducted among the farmers of tube well irrigated areas and subsequently analyzed. It was found that frequency of occurrence of leakage and excessive noise are 3.17 and 3.11 years which is the most frequent shortcoming found under study. It was also found that the mean life of centrifugal pump components i.e. Bearing, Packing, Impeller, shaft and casing was found as 3.56 , 3.18 , 3.61, 4.20 and 4.64 years respectively. The package of seal has longest life for the operation of centrifugal pump. For the frequency of occurrence of these problems, four the category scale has also chosen. Value 1 refers to always occurs, 2 most frequent occurs, 3 occasionally occurs, 4 – rarely occurs. Under the study a centrifugal pump for irrigating crop has treated as vital input, which is also a key factor in boosting productivity, for the national development and food security

The use of the facilities or the road to self-interest must have a permit issued by the Police as a party is given the authority to issue licenses for the use of road traffic other than as stipulated in the Indonesian Police Chief Regulation No. 10 Year 2012 About Setting Traffic In Certain Circumstances in addition to the use of the Road Traffic events , people can use the highway to conduct an activity to the extent they have to get permission from the police . The purpose of writing this paper , First , The Role of the Police in granting permission for the use of public roads in the region law enforcement party Pekanbaru city ? Secondly, the effectiveness of the application of sanctions against violations of the use of public roads for the implementation of the party in reducing the occurrence of acts of violation of law in the region use public roads Pekanbaru city? This type of research is conducted legal research Sociological , while the population and sample an entire party is related to the problem under study , which used data sources , primary data , secondary data , and the data tertiary , data collection techniques in this study with interviews , questionnaires and literature study From the research, there are two main things that can be concluded . First , that the role of the Police in granting permission to use the road for the implementation of the party consists of granting or rejection , as well as disseminating regulatory Chief of Police of Indonesia Number 10 Year 2012 Second, the effectiveness of the application of sanctions against violations of the use of public roads for the implementation of the party had not been effective . advice authors , first , expected to police in giving permission should really factor memperhtikan road to be used for a party , and to always socialize again to the public about the regulations permit the use of the road . Second , are expected to police to take action against violations of the use of the road for the sake of the party

Using activity theory to examine information systems for supporting mobile work

    Get PDF
An information system delivers support for decision making; however the physical constraints associated with mobile work often means that such support is limited. Despite the limitations, mobile workers manage to get work done. A broader review of a mobile worker's information system use reveals information sources that are outside the usual analysis of the technology and data. Decision making in mobile work would benefit from the development of these alternative information sources. A comprehensive description of the existing information system of mobile workers is a vital step in supporting technology development. This paper considers two different mobile workers, their information system and how they interact with that system. To assist in presenting a holistic view of the case studies, Activity Theory is used as a lens of interpretation

UBE2QL1 is Disrupted by a Constitutional Translocation Associated with Renal Tumor Predisposition and is a Novel Candidate Renal Tumor Suppressor Gene

Investigation of rare familial forms of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has led to the identification of genes such as VHL and MET that are also implicated in the pathogenesis of sporadic RCC. In order to identify a novel candidate renal tumor suppressor gene, we characterized the breakpoints of a constitutional balanced translocation, t(5;19)(p15.3;q12), associated with familial RCC and found that a previously uncharacterized gene UBE2QL1 was disrupted by the chromosome 5 breakpoint. UBE2QL1 mRNA expression was downregulated in 78.6% of sporadic RCC and, although no intragenic mutations were detected, gene deletions and promoter region hypermethylation were detected in 17.3% and 20.3%, respectively, of sporadic RCC. Reexpression of UBE2QL1 in a deficient RCC cell line suppressed anchorage-independent growth. UBE2QL1 shows homology to the E2 class of ubiquitin conjugating enzymes and we found that (1) UBE2QL1 possesses an active-site cysteine (C88) that is monoubiquitinated in vivo, and (2) UBE2QL1 interacts with FBXW7 (an F box protein providing substrate recognition to the SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase) and facilitates the degradation of the known FBXW7 targets, CCNE1 and mTOR. These findings suggest UBE2QL1 as a novel candidate renal tumor suppressor gen
