How to design a startup? is a question of practical importance to the managers that are building an organization from scratch. Focusing on a case startup, this thesis seeks to holistically understand its organizational development across five design dimensions (physical structure, visual design, organizational culture, decision processes, and team* composition). Being inspired by action research, the thesis aims at simultaneously describing and solving the organizational design challenges of the case startup. For each dimension, key discoveries are drawn from literature and compared to the perspectives surfaced in interviews with the four founders of the case company. Across dimensions, an overall good fit between literature and case organization is found. The research on startup organizations offers rich knowledge that will help any practitioner understand challenges and make research-based decisions. The discussion addresses some of the areas where discrepancies between literature and founder views prevail. With respect to knowledge culture and decision processes, the thesis seeks to shape the organizational design of the case company by suggesting possible actions. It also suggests adopting a role and personality perspective when seeking to integrate change-persistence in future research on startup organizational design

The article questions the metaphorical interpretation of Lutheran theology arguing that metaphor and language has been reduced to a surrogate for a metaphysically conceived notion of being as a static and eternal entity. In the light of Cathrine Malabou’s notion of plasticity, explosive and so far neglected ontological implications of Luther’s sacramental metaphors are brought to light: Luther's paradox metaphors rest upon his interpretation of communicatio idiomatum and the doctrine of the real presence as a structure of difference and temporality. This suggests that the sacrament in Lutheran thought has implications for the concept of God itself. A postmodern reading of Luther’s late confession Vom Abendmahl Christi calls for a renewed theological interpretation of concepts such as metaphor, temporality, future and God

Liturgisk reformarbejde i Danmark: Med fokus pĂĄ samvirket mellem stat, kirke og folk fra Kirkeordinansen 1537/39 til det 20. ĂĄrhundredes liturgiske revisioner

In 2016 the Danish bishops initiated an “historical experiment”, viz. the so-called liturgical debate in the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church of the years 2017-2021. The aim of the debate was to involve theological scholars, pastors and lay people in the discussion of the liturgical texts that regulate the celebration of the Sunday service and the sacraments. This historical experiment re-opened classical questions regarding the right to initiate liturgical reforms and regulate liturgical rules in the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church. It also re-opened the question of authority in the Church. This article outlines the most important historical discussions and developments from the Church Ritual (Kirkeritualet) of 1537/39 until the present day in order to shed light on how and by whom liturgical reforms were and still are initiated and executed in Denmark. A special focus is put on the interaction between state, church and people

The seasonal activity of six carabid species (Nebria brevicollis, Carabus nemoralis, C. hortensis, C. coriaceus, Pterostichus melanarius and Abax parallelepipedus) was studied along an urbanisation gradient (rural forest – suburban forest – forest fragments in urban park) in Sorø, Denmark, during April–October 2004 and 2005.Two groups were identified: 1) Species with constant seasonality, in which seasonal activity profiles did not differ along the gradient (C. hortensis, C. coriaceus, and A. parallelepipedus); 2) Species with flexible seasonality, with remarkable differences along the gradient and between the years (C. nemoralis, N. brevicollis and P. melanarius). In four out of six studied species, 2005 was less favourable than 2004. Spring activity in the urban habitat started earlier than in the suburban or forested ones. A better understanding of urban green infrastructures in biodiversity assessments may need the study of seasonality in order to distinguish whether the bioindicator’s responses are to habitat quality or stochastic seasonal events
