Redaksional Jurnal

EMPOWERING adalah jurnal yang mengkhususkan diri untuk mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, memperluas ilmu pengetahuan, mengkaji, memberdayakan, dan mengaplikasikan ilmu pengetahuan kepada masyarakat. Permasalahan atau fenomena-fenomena  dibahas berkaitan dengan kehidupan masyarakat sekitar. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian masyarakat dari dosen atau akademisi. Jurnal Empowering terbit 1 kali dalam setiap tahunnya di bulan Juli, pertama kali terbit pada bulan Desember 2017. Metrics and anomalies of the land cover dynamics in Europe

LifeWatch is the European research infrastructure for biodiversity and ecosystems research. In this study, we present ready-to-use information derived from the full archive of MODIS and SPOT-VGT satellites products. We use the dataset produced by the European Space Agency Climate Change Initiative Land Cover project (ESA CCI LC) to derive metrics and near real time anomalies in Europe and Northern Africa. The records of anomalies highlight exceptional climatic events which happened during the last few years. Those extreme events strongly impacted on plant and animal phenology, and they have been linked to changes in geographical distribution of animal species over time
