    Selaku kontraktor dari PT. Adimitra Baratama Nusantara, PT. RPP Contractors Indonesia membutuhkan perancangan tahapan penambangan, short term plan selama 4 minggu pada bulan September 2019 untuk memudahkan perencanan untuk pencapaian produksi batubara dan target pengupasan overburden. Diharapkan untuk perancangan tahapan penambangan mingguan (weekly plan) mengacu pada desain tahunan dan bulanan. Berdasarkan permasalahn tersebut terdapat 3 target yaitu; (a) Menentukan estimasi cadangan overburden dan batubara mingguan menggunakan metode block model; (b) Menentukan fleet penambangan berdasarkan produktivitas unit; (c) Membuat rencana tahapan penambangan mingguan. Oleh sebab itu dilakukan perancangan tahapan penambangan berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada sehingga diharapkan adanya tahapan penambangan yang lebih detail. Dalam penelitian ini di gunakan metode blok model untuk menentukan estimasi cadangan menggunakan software minescape, dari blok model tersebut di buat polygon (dengan desain pit sebagai batas bawah dan topografi sebagai batas atas), sehingga dari polygon tersebut kita dapat membuat rencana penambangan menggunakan software XPAC, dari hasil rencana penambangan tersebut dapat ditentukan skenario penambangan yang akan dilakukan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pada bulan September 2019 Total estimasi cadangan pada bulan September 2019 adalah 1.090.813 BCM untuk Overburden dan cadangan batubara sebesar 68.121 MT dengan nilai SR 16.0. Sistem operasional menggunakan 5 fleet, unit alat gali muat yang digunakan 5 unit PC1250, 1 PC400, dan 1 unit PC 300. Unit alat angkut yang digunakan 17 unit HD785. Skenario penambangan stripping expose mulai dari seam 5 sampai seam 17 dan pembentukan jalan di beberapa titik

    INCIDENCE AND MORTALITY RATES OF STROKES IN KAZAKHSTAN IN 2014–2019

    There is a lack of information on the epidemiology of acute ischemic stroke (AIS), intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in developing countries. This research presents incidence and mortality rates of stroke patients based on hospital admission and discharge status in one of the Central Asian countries by analysis of large-scale healthcare data. The registry data of 177,947 patients admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of stroke between 2014 and 2019 were extracted from the National Electronic Health System of Kazakhstan. We provide descriptive statistics and analyze the association of socio-demographic and medical characteristics such as comorbidities and surgical treatments. Among all stroke patients, the incidence rate based on hospital admission of AIS was significantly higher compared to SAH and ICH patients. In 5 year follow-up period, AIS patients had a better outcome than SAH and ICH patients (64.7, 63.1 and 57.3% respectively). The hazard ratio (HR) after the trepanation and decompression surgery was 2.3 and 1.48 for AIS and SAH patients; however, it was protective for ICH (HR = 0.87). The investigation evaluated an increase in the all-cause mortality rates based on the discharge status of stroke patients, while the incidence rate decreased over time

    Over 92% of the coal consumed by power plants is used to generate electricity in the United States (U.S.). The U.S. has the world\u27s largest recoverable reserves of coal, it is estimated that reserves of coal will last more than 200 years based in current production and demand levels. Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plants aim to reduce the amount of pollutants by gasifying coal and producing synthesis gas. Synthesis gas, also known as syngas, is a product of coal gasification and can be used in gas turbines for energy production. Syngas is primarily a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide and is produced by gasifying a solid fuel feedstock such as coal or biomass. The objective of the thesis is to create a flame stability map by performing various experiments using high-content hydrogen fuels with varying compositions of hydrogen representing different coal feedstocks. The experiments shown in this thesis were performed using the High-Pressure Combustion facility in the Center for Space Exploration Technology Research (CSETR) at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). The combustor was fitted with a novel Multi-Tube fuel Injector (MTI) designed to improve flame stability. This thesis presents the results of testing of syngas fuels with compositions of 20, 30, and 40% hydrogen concentrations in mixtures with carbon monoxide. Tests were completed for lean conditions ranging from equivalence ratios between 0.6 and 0.9. The experimental results showed that at an equivalence ratio of 0.6, a stable flame was not achieved for any of the fuel mixtures tested. It was also observed that the stability region of the syngas flame increased as equivalence ratio and the hydrogen concentration in syngas fuel increases with the 40% hydrogen-carbon monoxide mixture demonstrating the greatest stability region. Design improvements to the MTI are also discussed as part of the future work on this topic
