    CPsuperH2.3: an Updated Tool for Phenomenology in the MSSM with Explicit CP Violation

    We describe the Fortran code CPsuperH2.3, which incorporates the following updates compared with its predecessor CPsuperH2.0. It implements improved calculations of the Higgs-boson masses and mixing including stau contributions and finite threshold effects on the tau-lepton Yukawa coupling. It incorporates the LEP limits on the processes e^+ e^- to H_i Z, H_i H_j and the CMS limits on H_i to tau^+ tau^- obtained from 4.6/fb of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. It also includes the decay mode H_i to Z gamma and the Schiff-moment contributions to the electric dipole moments of Mercury and Radium225, with several calculational options for the case of Mercury.     CP Violation in Heavy MSSM Higgs Scenarios

    We introduce and explore new heavy Higgs scenarios in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with explicit CP violation, which have important phenomenological implications that may be testable at the LHC. For soft supersymmetry-breaking scales M_S above a few TeV and a charged Higgs boson mass M_H+ above a few hundred GeV, new physics effects including those from explicit CP violation decouple from the light Higgs boson sector. However, such effects can significantly alter the phenomenology of the heavy Higgs bosons while still being consistent with constraints from low-energy observables, for instance electric dipole moments. To consider scenarios with a charged Higgs boson much heavier than the Standard Model (SM) particles but much lighter than the supersymmetric particles, we revisit previous calculations of the MSSM Higgs sector. We compute the Higgs boson masses in the presence of CP violating phases, implementing improved matching and renormalization group (RG) effects, as well as two-loop RG effects from the effective two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) scale M_H+ to the scale M_S. We illustrate the possibility of non-decoupling CP-violating effects in the heavy Higgs sector using new benchmark scenarios named CPX4LHC.Comment: 39 pages, 17 figures, LaTeX, typos correcte

    B-Meson Observables in the Maximally CP-Violating MSSM with Minimal Flavour Violation

    Additional sources of CP violation in the MSSM may affect B-meson mixings and decays, even in scenarios with minimal flavour violation (MFV). We formulate the maximally CP-violating and minimally flavour-violating (MCPMFV) variant of the MSSM, which has 19 parameters, including 6 phases that violate CP. We then develop a manifestly flavour-covariant effective Lagrangian formalism for calculating Higgs-mediated FCNC observables in the MSSM at large tan(beta), and analyze within the MCPMFV framework FCNC and other processes involving B mesons. We include a new class of dominant subleading contributions due to non-decoupling effects of the third-generation quarks. We present illustrative numerical results that include effects of the CP-odd MCPMFV parameters on Higgs and sparticle masses, the B_s and B_d mass differences, and on the decays B_s --> mu+ mu-, B_u --> tau nu and b --> s gamma. We use these results to derive illustrative constraints on the MCPMFV parameters imposed by D0, CDF, BELLE and BABAR measurements of B mesons, demonstrating how a potentially observable contribution to the CP asymmetry in the b --> s gamma decay may arise in the MSSM with MCPMFV.Comment: 47 pages, 8 eps figures, comments and references added, accepted for publication in Physical Review D, Eq.(3.2) correcte

We review recent highlights in Higgs phenomenology obtained with the code CPsuperH, a useful tool for studies of the production, mixing and decay of a coupled system of the neutral Higgs bosons at future high energy colliders such as the LHC, ILC (Îł\gammaLC), and a muon collider (MC).     A Geometric Approach to CP Violation: Applications to the MCPMFV SUSY Model

    We analyze the constraints imposed by experimental upper limits on electric dipole moments (EDMs) within the Maximally CP- and Minimally Flavour-Violating (MCPMFV) version of the MSSM. Since the MCPMFV scenario has 6 non-standard CP-violating phases, in addition to the CP-odd QCD vacuum phase \theta_QCD, cancellations may occur among the CP-violating contributions to the three measured EDMs, those of the Thallium, neutron and Mercury, leaving open the possibility of relatively large values of the other CP-violating observables. We develop a novel geometric method that uses the small-phase approximation as a starting point, takes the existing EDM constraints into account, and enables us to find maximal values of other CP-violating observables, such as the EDMs of the Deuteron and muon, the CP-violating asymmetry in b --> s \gamma decay, and the B_s mixing phase. We apply this geometric method to provide upper limits on these observables within specific benchmark supersymmetric scenarios, including extensions that allow for a non-zero \theta_QCD.Comment: 34 pages, 16 eps figures, to appear in JHE
