Traditions, results, and perspectives of feminist school research

Feministische Schulforschung thematisiert über die Auswirkungen koedukativer bzw. monoedukativer Schulen hinaus Fragen der Geschlechterdifferenzen im Bildungssystem, der Ungleichbehandlung von Mädchen und Jungen im Unterricht, der Reproduktion der Geschlechterhierarchie durch die Schule und der Auswirkungen der Geschlechterhierarchie auf die in der Schule Handelnden Die Analysen der feministischen Schulforschung werden auf diesem Hintergrund systematisch dargestellt Die Autorinnen vertreten und begründen die These, daß feministische Schulforschung an wesentliche Traditionen und Zielsetzungen der Schulreformbewegung der sechziger und siebziger Jahre anknüpfen sollte. Feministische Schulforschung zielt auf die Aufhebung der bestehenden Geschlechterhierarchie. Von daher wird die Notwendigkeit der Ausdifferenzierung des Sozialisationsbegriffs und der Analysen der Schule als Institution begründet. Angestrebt wird ein wechselseitiger Dialog zwischen feministischer Schulforschung und Schulpädagogik. (DIPF/Orig.)Feminist school research does not merely focus on the consequences of coeducational and monoeducational schools, it also deals with issues such as gender-specific differences in the educational system, unequal treatment of boys and girls in the classroom, the reproduction of the hierarchy of the sexes by the school, and the influences of this hierarchy on those acting in the classroom. Against this background, a systematic outline of the analyses of feminist school research is given. The authoresses posit and defend the thesis that feminist school research ought to continue essential traditions and objectives of the school reform movement of the sixties and seventies. Feminist school research aims at the abolition of the existing hierarchy of the sexes. This explains the need for a differentiation of the concept of socialization and for an analysis of the school as an institution.
